The best pools at Walt Disney WorldA sk a returning family about their trip to Walt Disney World, and you might hear the common refrain: "My kids just wanted to swim in the pool the whole time!" It's tough to top the nostalgic appeal of classic rides like Peter Pan's Flight and Haunted Mansion, the high-speed thrills of Expedition Everest and Tron Lightcycle Run, and the draw of Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park and Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, but the kids are onto something. Tucked away from the bustling parks are some of the most meticulously themed and immersive pools you'll find anywhere. Walt Disney World's resort pools aren't just a place to cool off. They offer an experience that, for some, can rival the theme parks. If you already know your itinerary will include some serious pool time, this guide to the best pools at Walt Disney World will help you pick the perfect pool for your trip. Related: The return of all-day park-hopping and the other major changes coming to Disney World in 2024 What to know about the Walt Disney World poolsEvery Walt Disney World hotel has at least one pool, with most of the larger, more sprawling resorts boasting three or more. Each resort's main pool, known as the feature pool, will be the most elaborate, with increasingly impressive theming and features as you go up the pricing ladder across Disney's three hotel tiers — Value, Moderate and Deluxe. The feature pool will also have a pool bar and quick-service food options nearby. At Moderate and Deluxe resorts, you'll also find a waterslide and kids splash areas. Value resorts have large feature pools but no waterslides or hot tubs. Daily recreation activities take place at the feature pool, typically in the afternoons. Recreation hosts will lead games for kids, sometimes with small take-home trinkets as prizes and Disney trivia everyone can join in on. The feature pool is also where you'll find the biggest crowds and most noise. So, if you prefer to lounge quietly with a good book, you may want to seek out a leisure pool, sometimes referred to as a "quiet" pool. Walt Disney World pools are heated to 82 degrees year-round, though the water can be warmer in the summer thanks to the blazing Central Florida sun. Complimentary towels and life jackets are available at all pools. Lifeguard availability and pool hours vary by pool. Related: The best Disney World hotels Best Disney World pool for familiesMany of Walt Disney World's resorts are destination-worthy even without the addition of the nearby theme parks, perhaps none more so than Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge . More than 200 different animals, including zebras and giraffes, roam numerous savannas. The Africa-themed resort is also home to two fantastic feature pools, one at each of the resort's two hotels, Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas — Jambo House and Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas — Kidani Village. At Jambo House, the 11,000-square-foot Uzima Springs Pool features a zero-depth entry and 67-foot-long waterslide and has a maximum depth of 4 feet and 9 inches. There's also a wading pool for kids and two hot tubs. The resort's main quick-service dining location, The Mara, is just steps from the pool gate, and the Uzima Pool Bar is a full bar serving cocktails, beers on tap, frozen drinks and more. Uzima Springs is an excellent pool, but it's Kidani Village's Samawati Springs Pool that makes this resort our pick for the best pool for families. The 4,700-square-foot, 118,138-gallon pool offers something for every preference. It has a zero-depth entry point that's great for kiddos, two hot tubs for those looking to relax, and one of Disney World's most thrilling hotel waterslides, 128 feet long and fast, for swimmers looking for excitement. A second, much smaller waterslide with a pool depth of 3 feet and 6 inches at the base lets young kiddos in on the slide fun, too. Another big draw for younger kids here is the Uwanja Camp water playground. Themed after an animal observation site, the play area includes three zones — Observation Station, Departure Zone and Base Camp. Each is designed for different ages, from 4 and under to 8 and up (though we've never seen older or younger kids excluded from any of the areas at this resort). The area offers a good amount of shade, water features like cannons and spitting cartoonish snakes, and spots to climb and slide. Dining options are less extensive near this pool than at Uzima Springs, but the Maji Pool Bar serves a range of foods from hot dogs and soft pretzels to tandoori chicken and spiced pork nachos. You can also order to-go from Sanaa, Kidani Village's excellent table-service restaurant. Related: What would happen if you let your kids plan your Disney vacation? Best Disney World pool at a Value resortDisney's Art of Animation Resort is home to the best Disney World pools at a Value resort. However, rooms here are consistently the most expensive in the Value tier, so be aware of the trade-off. The "Finding Nemo"-inspired Big Blue Pool is the largest hotel pool at Walt Disney World and features giant, colorful characters from the film. The 308,527-gallon pool is zero-entry with a maximum depth of 4 feet and 11 inches. Next to the Big Blue Pool, Schoolyard Sprayground is a spacious splash zone surrounded by more of Nemo's friends. Also nearby, Squirt's Righteous Reef offers kids a dry playground option. When hunger strikes, the Drop Off Pool Bar serves basics like simple sandwiches, soft pretzels and frozen treats. For a more extensive selection, the resort's food court is a short walk away. For a quieter pool nearby, head to the Cozy Cone Pool in the "Cars"-themed area of the resort, which features life-size models of favorite "Cars" characters. The pool is surrounded by Cozy Cone cabanas (first come, first served) that provide a shaded spot perfect for families with younger kids needing a nap or break from the sun while bigger kids play. Fans of Disney's "The Little Mermaid" may want to head to the resort's third pool, the Flippin' Fins Pool. Related: This is Disney World's most budget-friendly hotel for large families Best Disney World pool at a Moderate resortAspiring swashbucklers can live out their pirate dreams at the Fuentes del Morro Pool at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort , our pick for the best pool at a Moderate resort. Designed to transport guests to a colonial Spanish fortress, this zero-entry pool has two waterslides, with the biggest stretching 102 feet and huge water cannons that give major "Pirates of the Caribbean" vibes. Kids 48 inches or shorter can get extra pirate play in at the Fuentes del Morro Water Play Area, a kids' splash area with a pirate ship and mini slides. A 12-person hot tub offers plenty of room for relaxation, as do the resort's whopping five additional leisure pools. At Old Port Royale, the pool is right across from Banana Cabana, the pool bar and lounge serving specialty frozen tropical drinks and Caribbean-inspired fare like coconut shrimp and jerk chicken wings. For even more dining options, Centertown Market, the resort's main quick-service location, is right next door. Know before you go: The Fuentes del Morro Pool will be closed for routine maintenance from January to late March 2024. Guests are advised to use the resort's five leisure pools during this time. Best Disney World pool at a Deluxe resortThe runaway favorite pool across all of Walt Disney World, Stormalong Bay at Disney's Yacht Club and Beach Club resorts is more like a mini water park. Spanning three acres with a total of 795,000 gallons of water, the complex features a variety of pools, including a sand-bottomed pool, a 230-foot-long shipwreck-themed waterslide, a lazy river, three hot tubs and a sandbar where kids can play. The small Shipwreck Pool at the entry point of the massive waterslide also has a smaller waterslide for younger kids. There's no arguing that Stormalong Bay offers endless aquatic entertainment. However, it can be a stressful pool option for families managing multiple children of varying abilities, and this is why Stormalong Bay isn't always our top pick for younger families. Some pools begin with a zero-entry point and reach depths of 4 feet to 5 feet, and the lazy river ranges from 6 feet to 8 feet in depth. The pool deck can get very crowded, and different areas of the deck are connected by sometimes narrow walkways and bridges, making the complex feel like a maze when you're trying to get from point A to point B quickly. Additionally, the Shipwreck Pool and entrance to the large waterslide, which is called The Flying Jib, are outside the gated pool complex and across a wide public walkway accessible to guests not staying at the resort, so some parents may not feel comfortable letting kids go back and forth from the pool area to the waterslide alone. But for endless aquatic entertainment, nothing beats Stormalong Bay. The pool complex is also surrounded by top-notch dining options available to enjoy poolside. The pool bar, Hurricane Hanna's, serves a reliable lineup of appetizers, salads, sandwiches and frozen drinks, but there are also numerous dining options nearby that serve food to go, including Ale & Compass Restaurant and the Yacht Club's and Beach Club's quick-service locations, each with different menus. For a fun table-service lunch or dinner break from the pool, make a reservation at Beaches & Cream Soda Shop, an old-fashioned diner serving up a classic menu of burgers and fries, chili-cheese tots and more, along with malted milkshakes and monstrous sundaes for dessert. Know before you go: Stormalong Bay and the Shipwreck Pool will be closed from January through May 2025 for routine maintenance. Guests are advised to use the resort's three leisure pools during this time, so be sure to avoid this stretch if you want to visit Stormalong Bay. Related: Hotel with the best pool complex at Disney World: Review of Disney's Yacht Club Resort Best Disney World pool for adultsFor adults looking to escape the noise and splashes of a chaotic feature pool, the many leisure pools at Walt Disney World resorts offer great alternatives. However, some of them can be somewhat secluded and out of the way of dining options. If you want a relaxing pool experience but don't want to be too far from the action, we have two picks for the best pool for adults. Our first choice is the Beau Soleil Pool at Disney's Riviera Resort . This leisure pool feels quiet and secluded once you pass through the gates, but it's also right next to the resort's beautiful activity lawn and steps from the Bar Riva pool bar and Primo Piatto quick-service restaurant. Bar Riva is one of the most beautiful open-air lounges at Walt Disney World and offers an elegant spot to take a break from the pool for Mediterranean fare and drinks. We recommend the mushroom arancini and a glass of Provence frose. Also, unlike many other leisure pools that sometimes attract families because they offer a closer option than the resort's feature pool, Riviera's impressive main pool, which includes an excellent splash pad for kids, is just across the lawn. Our other favorite pool for adults is the Oasis Pool at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort . As the resort's leisure pool, the Oasis Pool tends to attract a more grown-up crowd than the nearby Lava Pool with its enticing volcano, waterfall, kids play area and 142-foot waterslide. The Oasis Pool also has its own pool bar, the Oasis Bar & Grill, so you don't have to leave the pool area to enjoy dishes like wonton chips and fish tacos, specialty cocktails, beer, soft drinks and more. Best Disney World pool splurgeFor the most luxurious poolside experience, private poolside cabanas are available for daily rental at three of Walt Disney World's Deluxe resorts: Disney's Contemporary Resort , Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and Disney's Yacht Club and Beach Club resorts . These private, shaded spaces accommodate up to six guests and come equipped with plush furniture, ceiling fans and varying entertainment options like Bluetooth speakers, TVs and charging stations. Complimentary refreshments, including fresh fruit, soda and water, are also provided, as well as sunscreen and skincare products and a safe. Booking is only open to guests of each respective resort. Pricing starts at $350, and amenities and services, like cocktail service to the cabana, vary slightly by resort. Book by calling 407-939-7529. Disney's Polynesian Village Resort also offers a lower-priced option that still provides shade and privacy. Oasis Patios are at the resort's Oasis leisure pool and accommodate up to six guests with a dedicated shaded spot near the pool, furnished with cushioned lounge chairs and plush towels. Oasis Patios start at just over $100 and are available first come, first served or by advance reservation by calling 407-939-7529. Related: 5 over-the-top luxurious places to stay at Disney World Best Disney World hot tubsAt the height of summer in Central Florida, a hot tub might not top your list of ways to relax on your Walt Disney World vacation, but temperatures can really dip during the winter and in the evenings at certain times of the year. All Moderate and Deluxe resorts have hot tubs, but some rise above the rest. One of the prettiest hot tubs with the best views is at the Lava Pool at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. It has an infinity edge and offers views of Seven Seas Lagoon and even the fireworks over Cinderella Castle in the evenings. Be warned, this hot tub is definitely not a well-kept secret — it can get quite crowded, especially in the evenings. For more room, The Dig Site, the expansive pool complex at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort, is home to Walt Disney World's largest hot tub, accommodating up to 22 people. For a more secluded soak, Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge hot tubs are tucked away in spots slightly separated from the hustle and bustle of the main pools. And if you're looking for a serious splurge, you can have your own hot tub if you book one of the Copper Creek cabins . Best Disney World splash padsKids love a water playground, and parents love a break from keeping kids entertained in the pool. These top water play areas are so good the hardest part for parents may be getting kids to leave. Disney's Polynesian Village ResortSituated next to the Lava Pool, the Polynesian's water playground for kids under 48 inches is one of Walt Disney World's most elaborate. Water features throughout the multilevel structure include spitting tikis, spraying spouts, erupting water geysers, two mini slides and plenty of stairs to climb and bridges to cross to keep kids busy. Just beware if you have kids on either side of the 48-inch maximum height restriction — this is one time older siblings could find themselves wishing they hadn't hit that height marker yet. Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & SpaThis "Alice in Wonderland"-themed splash pad includes mini waterslides, sprinklers and water spouts. Overhead, the Mad Hatter's hat and a giant teapot periodically fill with water then soak everyone in striking distance. Within minutes, your kids will be saying, "We're all wet here." Related: Is Disney World's Grand Floridian the 'grandest' option for you? Here are 8 things to know Disney's Riviera ResortReminiscent of Europe's majestic public fountains, S'il Vous Play is a beautiful "Fantasia"-themed water play area with two waterslides and lots of interactive water features. Best Disney World waterslideThe Luna Park Pool at Disney's BoardWalk Inn is a whimsical homage to the amusement park attractions found along the turn-of-the-century boardwalks in places like Atlantic City and Coney Island. The piece de resistance is the 200-foot waterslide, which resembles a classic wooden roller coaster. The pool bar, Leaping Horse Libations, looks like a carousel, adding to the classic theme park feel of the pool area. The huge Keister Coaster waterslide used to be known for the iconically creepy giant clown head at its base. Sadly (for those of us who love the BoardWalk's quirky theming), the clown was removed in 2020 and replaced with two-dimensional artwork of Mickey and friends. The slide remains at the top of the list, though. Although Stormalong Bay's Flying Jib slide is slightly longer, we prefer the Keister Coaster for ease of re-riding without having to leave the pool complex. For the same reason, parents will also find it much easier to keep an eye on kiddos here. Related reading: - Are the Disney Visa credit cards worth it?

Is Splurging For Club Level At Walt Disney World Resorts A Good Value For Food And Beverages?I am lucky enough to be a local in Central Florida, so we spend a lot of time at Walt Disney World . It's one of the primary reasons we moved to our chosen town. You may wonder why we decide to stay on property when we live such a short distance away. The answer is simple. The immersion into the Disney ambiance, the convenience of close proximity to the parks, and the unique amenities make staying on the property a magical experience distinct from just a day visit. For a recent vacation, we decided to take that magical experience to new heights and stay in a club level room in the Grand Destino Tower at the Coronado Springs Resort. This beautiful hotel is considered a moderately priced hotel in the Disney pricing terminology, but when you walk in, it seems like a luxurious, deluxe hotel. The decoration and styling of the tower are modeled after Walt Disney's collaboration with Salvador Dali and their work on a short animated piece called "Destino." Even still, there are little touches of Mickey throughout the resort. When you stay in a room on the club level, you get access to perks that guests throughout the rest of the resort don't have access to, including a lounge. Here, you can enjoy breakfast, appetizers, desserts, beer, and wine, all for free. Plus, you get some incredible views. In fact, one of our favorite Orlando restaurants with a spectacular view is just one floor up. Which resorts offer club level?Coronado Springs is one of many Disney resorts offering club level. However, it is the only moderately priced resort to have this perk. The rest of the resorts at club level are in the deluxe category, surrounding Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom, and Epcot. The Animal Kingdom Lodge has a club level in both the main building and the Jambo House. For Magic Kingdom, you will find club level at the Contemporary, Grand Floridian, Polynesian, and Wilderness Lodge. Epcot club level resorts include the Beach Club, Yacht Club, and Boardwalk. When it comes to staying on property, most guests get to enjoy the Disney transportation. And honestly, to my family, no Disney trip is complete without taking full advantage of the boats, monorails, Skyliners, and buses to get from place to place. While Coronado Springs offers only buses as transportation, the resorts around Magic Kingdom and Epcot offer several more options, making your journey to the park just as magical as your stay in the park. Disney Resorts are like a vacation all in themselves, and we've been known to book a room and stay exclusively at the resort rather than visiting a park. The only trouble is they aren't all-inclusive, so if you are used to staying in that environment, a Disney Resort might not seem ideal. However, with club level includes a lot of perks and it feels much more all-inclusive than non-club level rooms. Enjoy a filling breakfast before hitting the parksEach morning of our stay, after waking up and getting dressed for the day, we would head on up to the lounge for a delectable continental breakfast that included crunchy cereals, freshly baked breakfast pastries, aromatic coffee, and an array of other delightful items. Happy and eager cast members greeted us every single time. The setup also typically had an egg dish and a breakfast meat of some kind. These options rotate throughout the week, so even if you were staying for a more extended trip, you would probably experience a few different types of main offerings. One of my particular favorites was a piece of toast covered in goat cheese and topped with tomato. Though I am a little persnickety when it comes to coffee, my husband took full advantage of the coffee machine, which offered cappuccinos and other coffee drinks at the touch of a button. For my drink, I typically went down to the coffee shop in the lower lobby of the hotel and bought my favorite Spanish coffee , a cafe Bombón. Our four-year-old can be a little bit of a picky eater like most kids his age, so we were a little nervous about whether there would be offerings he would like, but he fell in love with the Fruit Loops, which a cast member remembered, and even brought him out a bowl of, even though they weren't on the spread. Save a load of cash on dinnerThe lounges offer appetizers at lunchtime but more substantial offerings when it comes to dinner. If you happen to find yourself back around the resort at this time, we found the dinner dishes to be pretty good. There was a steak and peppers hot main that we both enjoyed and on one night, the lounge even had corn dog nuggets just like the ones you can pick up from Casey's at one of my favorite quick service restaurants in Magic Kingdom. I went back a few times for these, and although they were missing cheese sauce, the bites were still pretty tasty. If you tend to be a snacker around dinner time or just want something to tide you over for a later meal at a different location, the offerings here are perfect. We also really liked the charcuterie assortment, and it even had accompaniments like fig jam to enjoy alongside the cheeses and meats. One option typically available at both lunch and dinner was cut vegetables and dips. I fell in love with the lounge's homemade ranch offering. It was so bright and refreshing, and along with those cucumbers, it was the perfect light snack after lunchtime and dinner. Club level offers lots of free sipsOne of the very best parts about club level is the free drinks. When we first arrived at Coronado Springs and were brought to the club, cast members were eager to prepare a mimosa for me and offered my husband a beer. For our son, they prepared a specialty lemonade that was bright green and they called it Alien Lemonade. He eagerly accepted it, and we enjoyed our drinks as well. I got a mimosa a few more times while we were at the lounge, and it was always a POG mimosa. POG stands for passion fruit, orange, and guava, and the juice is pretty popular around the Disney resort. You can find it at many breakfast locations, and I was really excited that our lounge was able to mix it with bubbly for a mimosa. Though drinks were not out on the bar throughout the day, there was a whole wine, beer, and cocktail setup at dinner time. There were options to suit any taste, and if there wasn't something to your liking, cast members would have been more than willing to go look for something in the restaurant on the floor above. We could have also ordered cocktails here, provided that they were a little on the simpler side — think screwdriver, not Moscow mule. The beer selection was pretty good here, too, and we enjoyed a few Lagunitas throughout our stay. How does the price compare? We had a wonderful stay in Grand Destino Tower, but it is quite a bit more expensive than a regular room. In comparing prices, you can expect to spend between $900 and $1,000 on a room with club access if you do not have any discounts. The types of rooms vary significantly, but that tended to be the price for a room that would sleep four adults, whether it be two queens, a king, and a pull-out, or some other variation. To put that into perspective, the same types of rooms in the same tower that slept the same number of people would be less than half that cost. So, for somewhere around $400 more a night, you could have access to the club level. For a family of four, that breaks down to about $100 for club level access per person, per night. You may wonder how that compares since you have access to free food, and this is where it varies wildly depending on your family preferences. If you plan on eating exclusively from the club and not from the parks or other restaurants on the property, and you have a family the size of four with two adults and two children, you can expect to save at least $240 per day on food alone. That's assuming that your family would purchase mostly quick-service options. If you were to typically dine at sit-down dinners or even some character meals, the savings would be higher. Verdict: Is it worth it?For us, club level was worth it. We have a son who still takes naps midday, so we typically try to return to the resort for those nap times and could enjoy the free mid-day snacks, and we loved the easy access to breakfast right upstairs. Plus, grabbing a Pellegrino as we head out to the parks in the morning was super handy, especially for my husband, who loves sparkling water. Cast members on the club level do an incredible job making sure your stay is excellent. In addition to offering great food, they also have the ability to make dining reservations, park reservations, and pretty much anything else you could need them to do. They are truly there to make sure that your stay is absolutely unforgettable. If you like that white-glove treatment, the club level is going to be totally worthwhile. If you plan on taking advantage of the free alcoholic drinks, club level will be even more beneficial. On the other hand, if your family enjoys meals out and is looking forward to a few character dining experiences during your trip, financially, staying at the club level probably isn't going to be the best choice when it comes down to it. For this, though, you just have to weigh what is most important to you. I'll say one thing: I can't wait to return to Coronado Springs and wake up to the Disney magic right outside of my window. The Extra Benefits of Disney’s Refillable Resort MugsWhen staying on property at Walt Disney World you have the option to purchase a Refillable Mug. You can use this for refills of hot and cold drinks for 14 days from date of purchase or for the length of your stay, if longer. Each Refillable Mug costs $21.99 plus tax or you get a free mug per person when using either of the Disney Dining Plans available. These Refillable Mugs can be divisive. Some love them, others think they’re not worth the cost. I am firmly in the ’love’ camp though and won’t stay on Disney property without one! I’ve even found some additional benefits which make them even more worthwhile for my family. The Most Obvious Benefit – Free RefillsThe biggest benefit of the Refillable Mugs are the free refills whilst staying on Walt Disney World property. The resorts will often have multiple refill stations offering a wide selection of sodas, iced teas and hot drinks including coffee, hot tea and even hot chocolate. With a single soda costing upwards of $4 plus tax, it really doesn’t take long before you’ve got your money’s worth. They’re also great for helping you to stay hydrated in the hot Florida sun. The mugs can be refilled at any Disney World Resort Hotel, not just the one you’re staying at. Which brings me nicely onto the next benefit. Refillable Mugs Encourage me to Resort HopWhilst sadly the Refillable Mugs can’t be refilled within the parks or water parks, as mentioned above, they can be refilled at any Disney World Resort Hotel. I love visiting as many resorts as I can. Having a Refillable Mug gives me an incentive to do this more often. On a park day, I fill my mug with a beverage of choice on my way out. I keep the mug with me throughout the day, often filling it with cold water and ice within the parks. When we want some downtime away from the hustle and bustle of the parks, we’ll go to a nearby resort and make the most of some refills. Magic KingdomAt Magic Kingdom you have the Resort Monorail, Boats and even walking paths right outside the main entrance, taking you to a wide choice of resorts. Our favourite is a quick trip on the Resort Monorail over to the Polynesian. We’ll refill our mugs in Capt. Cook’s , and then relax on the beach overlooking Seven Seas Lagoon. From Epcot you can take the back exit, through International Gateway, almost right onto the Boardwalk. From here you’ll have the choice of Beach Club, Yacht Club or Boardwalk for a cheeky refill. The Market at Ale and Compass in Yacht Club even has Coke Freestyle Machines, taking those soda refills to the next level! Hollywood StudiosWith the addition of the Skyliner, Hollywood Studios is now connected to a whole host of resorts. The closest being Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort and where better to relax with an ice cold drink from Centertown Market . Animal KingdomAnimal Kingdom doesn’t have the same ease of access to resorts as the other parks. However, taking a bus ride over to Animal Kingdom Lodge is 100% worth it. The resort is absolutely beautiful. You can refill your mug in The Mara and then relax whilst watching the animals roam the savanna within the resort. Pre Cruise StayWhen combining a Walt Disney World trip with a Disney Cruise , I feel the Refillable Mugs are a must have. You can not only enjoy your free refills whilst in your resort before the cruise, you can then take your mug with you on the cruise. I know what you’re thinking – yes you do already get free soft drinks on a Disney Cruise, so you don’t need the mug to be able to get free drinks. However, these mugs are perfect for taking on board. You can use your mugs at the refill stations allowing you to fill up a larger drink, as those small disposable cups provided really are tiny. It also allows you to easily carry multiple drinks elsewhere on the ship. Have you ever tried walking back to your stateroom carrying four cups of soda? It’s not easy! Four Refillable Mugs though are a cake walk. With their lids to prevent spills and handles allowing you to carry more than one in each hand, you can easily carry them around the ship. Plus, if you’re heading back to Walt Disney World after your cruise, you can take your mug back with you and use it for refills at your next resort too. Travelling AroundIf you’re combining your Walt Disney World vacation with a trip to Disney’s Vero Beach Resort or Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort you can also use your Refillable Mugs at both resorts. Even if your total vacation is longer than two weeks, you can ask a cast member to extend the end date for your refills. Using at HomeThe benefits of a Refillable Mug don’t end when your vacation does. Once you’ve bought them, they’re yours to keep. We often take ours home with us and use them as a regular travel mug. They’re insulated, so are perfect for taking a hot drink to work in the morning or for a trip out with the kids. We’ve even taken them camping with us, to add a little bit of Disney magic! Where to Watch Football Games at Disney Worldby Madison Owens · September 10, 2024 Fall is a wonderful time in Disney World! There are pumpkin wreaths lining the streets of Main Street, U.S.A. , autumnal flavors are on the menus , and Halloween parties are taking place . Fall Decor at magic Kingdom Fall also means football season , which can be a bit tricky when you’re on a trip to the parks. We know a lot of you don’t want to miss your big games, so we’re breaking down where you can watch them while you’re at Disney World! Best Places to Watch Football at Disney WorldLet’s just get one thing out of the way — unfortunately, there is nowhere actually inside the Disney World theme parks where you can watch a football game, unless you’re watching on your phone (please use headphones/keep it muted!). Cinderella Castle We know, it’s not very convenient, but it helps to keep you immersed in the ambiance of the parks. It would be kind of strange to see a college football game being played in Galaxy’s Edge or over in the Italy Pavilion, right? Galaxy’s Edge But, there are places near the parks where you can find TVs! Let’s talk about those first. Before we start, I do need to mention that a lot of locations only have one or two TVs, and the specific game you’re looking for might not be available to watch due to the location or demand. And remember to always be polite to Cast Members if you’re asking them to look for a game for you! So, if you’re at Magic Kingdom and want to leave for a little to watch a football game, my best suggestion would be heading to one of the nearby resorts. Disney’s Contemporary, Polynesian, Grand Floridian, and Wilderness Lodge are all easily accessible from Magic Kingdom by either monorail, boat, or walking trail. Monorail Blue Once you’re at the resorts, you can find TVs in the bars and lounges, including the pool bars! If you’re staying at one of these resorts, throw on your swimsuit and go catch the game at the pool bar. Luckily, it’s usually still warm enough to do this in Disney World throughout most of football season. Note that some pool bars have areas that are open to outside guests, while others are completely in the fence of the pool and are only available to those staying at those resorts. Photo: Disney If you don’t want to visit a pool, there are other options. At Disney’s Contemporary Resort, I’d suggest going to the Steakhouse 71 bar and lounge area or the Outer Rim lounge and ordering a drink and/or some snacks. They both have TVs! At Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, head over to Tambu Lounge. And, over at Wilderness Lodge, there are TVs at Geyser Point (a very cool outdoor bar and restaurant!) as well as Territory Lounge. At EPCOT , I’d suggest going over to one of the resorts around Crescent Lake — Disney’s Beach Club or Yacht Club. If you want to sit outside, go to their pool bar, Hurricane Hanna’s. It’s located outside the pool gates so outside guests can visit. If you want to go inside, head into Crew’s Cup Lounge or Ale & Compass Lounge in Yacht Club or Martha’s Vineyard in Beach Club to check out their TVs. You can also walk a little further over to the Walt Disney World Dolphin Resort and catch a game at the lobby bar, Phins, or at the bar in Shula’s steakhouse. If you’re at Hollywood Studios , your most convenient option is probably to hop on the Skyliner and head to either Disney’s Riviera Resort or Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort and sit at Bar Riva or Banana Cabana Pool Bar, respectively, where there are TVs available. Banana Cabana You can also get on one of the friendship boats and have the same options I mentioned above at the Walt Disney World Dolphin Resort or Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resorts. Animal Kingdom is by far the easiest park to conveniently catch a football game from. Just go to the bar at Rainforest Cafe at the front of the park (outside the gates)! Hot tip — they also serve breakfast for those earlier games in the day. Photo: Rainforest Cafe If you’re trying to watch a game at a different hotel than the ones we’ve already mentioned, note that most of the pool bars at Disney’s resort hotels have TVs! And, a lot of the club-level areas at the Deluxe Resorts have them as well. Photo: Disney || Club Level Lounge – Coronado Springs Resort Over at Disney Springs, things get a LOT easier! There are a tonnnnn of places where you can find TVs, including many of the bar and lounge areas of the restaurants, like Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill, The BOATHOUSE, House of Blues, and the Lava Lounge at Rainforest Cafe. Photo: Disney || The BOATHOUSE But, my best suggestion would be to head over to City Works Eatery & Pour House. There are a bunch of TVs, so the odds of your specific game being on are higher! And, there are over 90 beers on tap. Photo: City Works So, that should hopefully help you catch your games this football season in Disney World! There’s no reason you should have to miss out if you have a trip planned during this fall. Stay tuned for more Disney World news and updates! Thanks for visiting MickeyBlog.com! Want to go to Disney? Like the Yacht Club Resort, Disney's Beach Club Villas have access to all the restaurants, activities, and amenities at the Beach Club resort. My recommendation is to choose the cheapest option of the three resorts. As mentioned above, renting DVC points for Beach Club Villas is often the best way to save money.
Disney's Beach Club Resort is attempting to execute an early 20th century theme, so in theory the rooms should always have a timeless feel of that era, but they don't. This was true of the old rooms, and it's still true of the new ones. The problem with the old was that it was as if they're an early 1990s take on the early 20th century.
Disney's Yacht and Beach Club are separate Resorts, but they share two very important things: Stormalong Bay (a 3-acre mini water park) and fantastic dining options including a character meal, signature dining, terrific lounges, and an old-fashioned soda shop. Note that since these Resorts are connected, guests at either can easily access any of the dining locations.
