The Goodall VIPER is the ultimate sports car
With over 30 years of catamaran design experience and the latest in design software, the VIPER was designed for high-performance racing catamaran teams who were just too light to mix it in the F18.
Ideal for mixed or youth teams, the VIPER is light and responsive in every aspect and this will give you the speed and excitement usually reserved for the bigger boats of the fleet - and you’ll beat them across the line in most cases too.
The Goodall VIPER is the versatile Sports Car that can be sailed either 1 or 2 up. By simply leaving the jib off, sailors have the ability to sail and race if their crew is not available.
Versatile sailing
The Viper is an ISAF recognized class and can be sailed under the strict one design rules, or sailors can race under the F16 box rules
Its Epoxy construction makes for a durable, long-lasting boat and EVA deck grip means you and your crew will move with confidence around the platform.
Highly precise gybing centerboards increase upwind angles and decrease hull drag. This coupled with the fully battened self-tacking jib, fully integrated wing mast and mainsail gives teams the up wind advantage.
This highly efficient rig is one of the most developed in the class. With a specially designed wing mast section to suit the boat and crew weights you will have the versatility to sail fast in almost any condition.

The C2 has been discontinued in 2021 and replaced with the Akurra F18 . All parts and service for the C2 are all still available from Goodall Design.

With over 30 years of catamaran design experience and the latest in design software, we have combined knowledge from our original CAPRICORN, VIPER and many other high performance designs to create the Goodall C2.
The Goodall C2 is the racing machine for those who what to push hard. Incorporating wave-piercing technology, the high volume bows provide a stability that allows sailors to drive the boat harder and faster with confidence.
Highly precise gybing centerboards increase upwind angles and decrease hull drag. This coupled with the fully battened self-tacking jib, fully integrated wing mast and mainsail, gives teams the up wind advantage.
Push Harder
Traveling at high speed is all about drag reduction; and when the C2 lights up you know you are traveling at high speed. The C2 rig is designed to balance drag reduction and power generation so you have the best velocity output.
A high speed boat needs responsive control. Not only do our Goodall Design low drag rudders provide ultimate grip at high speeds, but also provide amazing low speed maneuvering for those start line duels.

The C2 Control systems put this speed machine firmly in the palm of your hand. 16:1 cascading downhaul, 10:1 mainsheet and top end running gear as standard, give you ultimate system control over your racing machine.

Deck Sweeper Options
In 2017 Goodall Design was the first manufacture to develop the Deck Sweeper sail package. The Deck sweeper increases the efficiency of the mainsail by increasing the aspect ratio (longer luff, shorter foot) and decreases drag across the foot by using the “endplate effect” from the tramp.
Since this time all leading F18 have switched to the Deck Sweepers.
The C2 is available with Standard sails or Deck Sweeper sails. But don’t worry, would will be able to use either sail whenever you like. The mast/boom fitting allow for either sail and boom to be used at any time with no extra work to be done!!!

Getting to Pullman
Pullman is located in southeastern Washington, approximately 8 miles from Moscow, ID to the east, 75 miles south of Spokane, and approximately 125 miles north of Oregon. Coming into Pullman, you may find it helpful to stop by the WSU Visitor Center , located at 225 North Grand Avenue in Pullman. Their helpful staff can provide you with maps, parking information, brochures, and more.
The Pullman Moscow Regional Airport is two miles from campus. Horizon Air (Alaska Airlines) services the area. You can rent a car at the airport or request a taxi. Spokane International Airport and Lewiston-Nez Perce County Regional are also nearby. You can take a shuttle van (Wheatland Express, 800-334-2207) to Pullman for a fee.
Major bus routes pass through Pullman. The bus stop is located approximately one mile from campus.
Driving from Seattle is approximately five hours; from Spokane, ninety minutes; and from Portland, six hours.

Greg Goodall. In 1973 Greg Goodall built his first Mosquito Catamaran. In 1975, Greg bought a used sewing machine and a roll of cloth to make his own Goodall Yacht Sails. Goodall Sails quickly became known for their high performance and the 'G logo'. Almost 50 years later, Greg is still developing the best sails.
