Manufactured at Sunreef Yachts’ facilities in the city of Gdansk, this 49m multihull marries cutting-edge engineering and radical naval design to form a super catamaran like never seen before. Ideally, this power catamaran provides luxurious accommodation for up to 10 guests alongside separate units for housing 17 crew members needed to run operations. Powered by twin 3400 HP engines, the 49m Sunreef Power will carry three tenders and a wide selection of water toys and PWC’s. The low drag and efficiency provided by the vessel’s twin-hull design allow an autonomy of over 5000 nautical miles with 118000 liters of fuel capacity.

Like all the other models in the range, the 60 Sunreef Power, which we got the chance to try out in 2021, is available in an Eco version, i.e. with electric motors and solar panels - including on the outer hull sides as an option. This forever green version was presented to the public for the first time at the Cannes Yachting Festival.

Even though the 60 is the “smallest” powercat in the Polish shipyard's Power range, it already has all the attributes of an ultra-modern multiyacht. Thanks to its large beam, the 60 Sunreef Power offers an extremely spacious saloon. Royal Rita is a magnificent 70' Sunreef Power Catamaran, recently updated with contemporary decor in 2022. Its interior exudes elevated sophistication, featuring a pristine white finish complemented by fine furnishings and accents that seamlessly blend with the vibrant blue hues of the surrounding ocean. The spacious interior offers an expansive main salon featuring impressive 11-foot ceilings and an open-plan galley. The galley is a chef’s dream comprehensively equipped with all the necessary amenities. In addition, a Magma 24" Grill and a Pizza Oven can be conveniently set up on the aft platform.

The Owner's suite is strategically positioned on the main deck, affording a breathtaking 180-degree vista. This suite also boasts an en-suite bathroom equipped with a generously sized walk-in rain shower and a dual sink vanity. Equally impressive are the three additional guest cabins, each equipped with a comfortable queen-size bed and its own en-suite bathroom. One of the Queen cabins even offers an additional fold-down bunk. The fifth cabin has two twin beds and can be converted into an extra crew cabin (to accommodate 4 crew).

The aft deck offers a plush day bed, a dining table and comfortable seating that leads to the submersible swim platform. Additional loungers are located on the walk-around decks’ bow, while the enclosed flybridge provides a secluded sanctuary with panoramic views and supplementary seating.

This 2016 Sunreef is a 5-stateroom configuration with main deck Master Room and 2 crew cabins with ensuite bathrooms and Air Conditioning. With her 1200 HP engines, she can cruise comfortably at 18 knots and open throttle at 23 knots. Additionally, at long range speed This yacht can reach a 4000 nautical miles range making this Power Catamaran a real explorer. The Sunreef Power is a powerful and comfortable cruiser with a futuristic look. Her layout and design were entirely customized and adapted to her first Owner expectations and navigation plans.

One of the yacht's most characteristic features is the enclosed flybridge - The protected sundeck provides for a navigation station fitted with large helm seats with integrated autopilot controls. The area also features a relaxation space with a sofa that can be turned into an additional bed, a fridge, sink, and TV. Accessed through a sliding door is the aft terrace housing a jet-ski crane and sun beds.

The main deck comprises a grand, fully open saloon with a big dining area and an airy lounging corner. The galley placed portside is equipped with a long countertop and offers all the space and appliances to ensure top quality service onboard. The master cabin is accessed directly from the saloon and is fitted with a large double bed facing the TV, multiple storage spaces and a make-up desk just underneath the yacht's impressive panoramic windows.

The Owner's suite gives direct access to his and her roomy bathroom placed down in the portside hull. From starboard, the master cabin connects with the children's realm - a relaxing and friendly area with a playroom, featuring twin beds - convertible to a double whenever needed. In addition, the layout includes 3 guest cabins, all fitted with double beds and private bathrooms which allows for a maximum of hospitality.

As the original Owner wanted to give her a minimalist and futuristic atmosphere, Sunreef Yachts' design team picked a variety of fine materials for a customized modern finish. The yacht's interior design combines white glossy panels, blue led lighting and bright upholstery with baby ostrich, python and crocodile leather designs. The boat's navigation table is clad in glossy black mahogany and dark leather.

The Sunreef Power features a powerful 1200 Volvo IPS system with a dynamic positioning. IPS propulsion allows a significant increase of maneuverability and ease of mooring. Royal Rita is equipped with wave-piercers and extended aft platforms to maximize her performance and provide a comfortable motion at sea and a waterline length of 80 feet. The deck is entirely covered in teak and accessed with a rotating gangway. Her cockpit is vast with a large dining table, seating, and a projector screen. The hydraulic platform not only eases dinghy launching but also significantly extends the cockpit's lounging space.

Royal Rita has always been maintained to the highest standards with a focus on preventative maintenance, with an average of three months a year of ‘yard time’ dedicated to maintenance and repairs.

Third new build Sunreef 43M Eco catamaran sold to repeat client

Polish catamaran specialist Sunreef Yachts has announced that it has sold a third 43M Eco at this year's Cannes Yachting Festival . The buyer is a repeat client who previously owned a 24.4-metre Sunreef 80 Power.

"We're very proud to have a client go fully eco," said Sunreef CTO and co-founder Nicolas Lapp. "And we are already talking with other customers [about the 43M Eco]. The interest in sustainable yachting is growing. This is the direction that we wanted to go in, so we're happy to see the market agrees."

The first unit was sold in late 2022 and will be the world's largest electric catamaran once delivered.

The hull, superstructure and rigging of the vessel is designed with integrated solar panels that supply the yacht with 250kWh of energy in a 24-hour period. An advanced hydro-generation system will also produce "clean power" for emission-free cruising and "infinite range", according to the shipyard. 

Accommodation is for 12 guests, including a master cabin with a private office and direct access to a lounge space at the bow.

Leisure highlights include an "ocean lounge" that connects the aft deck to the swim platform, creating a single space for waterside lounging. This area is heavily customisable, with clients able to instal a massage room, a bar or a fitness area. An invisible aft garage is also nearby for tender and toy storage.

A second sun lounging option can be found up on the flybridge, arranged with a spa pool, sunpads, a bar and dining area and an outdoor cinema.

This follows the reveal of a smaller entry in the shipyard's sailing catamaran series, the 35M Eco.

Sunreef Yachts and North Sails Champion Eco-Friendly Build Materials

Sunreef yachts continues to try and position itself at the forefront of eco-minded boatbuilders. It already works with solar panels that are built right into yacht hulls, propulsion and other systems that reduce the use of traditional fuels, and onboard furnishings that run the gamut from leather and animal-skin alternatives to sustainable and reclaimed woods.

Now comes the use of recycled PET bottles in the construction process for composite superstructures. “This innovative use of structural foam, composed of up to 100 percent recycled PET materials, represents a significant stride toward more eco-conscious yacht construction,” the builder announced in April.

According to Sunreef’s team, the recycled thermoplastic core comes with quite a few benefits. The material has high resistance to process temperatures, “exceptional” chemical resistance, strong adhesion, and mechanical properties. It’s also fully recyclable. “The construction of an 80-foot sailing catamaran requires approximately 2.4 tons of this foam core, equivalent to recycling around 600,000 PET bottles,” according to the Sunreef team.

Other companies in the marine industry are thinking in similar directions. Earlier this year, North Sails announced the debut of its Renew line, which is made with bio-based and recycled raw materials.

The team at North Sails says it took a few years to figure out the process to source the materials and make the sails, but product director Tom Davis is confident in the result: “This product has been tested to the absolute limit, and we are confident that a sail constructed with Renew will offer comparable, unbeatable durability and sail shape for our cruising customers without compromising on performance.”

What Else Can It Be?

Recycled pet bottles are used in all kinds of products today. They can be turned into polyester fiber for clothing and carpets, a stuffing-type material for pillows and sleeping bags, straps to keep items secure on carts and pallets, and various types of packaging such as egg cartons and food containers.

Deux superyacht Sunreef à découvrir sur le Monaco Yacht Show 2024

Rendez-vous mondial de la Grande Plaisance, le Monaco Yacht Show est un moment incontournable pour le chantier polonais Sunreef Yachts, créateur et leader mondial du marché des catamarans de luxe semi-custom, qui y présenta son tout premier modèle, il y a 20 ans ! 

Certains moments sont indissociables d'une marque à l'instar du Monaco Yacht Show et de Sunreef Yachts. 

Cest en effet à Monaco, il y a 20 ans, que Sunreef se lançait, avec une offre produit alors totalement iconoclaste : un catamaran de luxe, semi-custom, et en outre doté d'un flybridge !!

Autant d'originalités qui surprirent et séduisirent, confirmant l'intuition du fondateur de la marque, le français Francis Lapp, qui proposait là une alternative au marché des catamarans one-off.

Au fil des ans et du développement de l'offre, Sunreef s'est imposé comme un acteur qui compte sur le marché des superyachts, avec une offre spécifique, alternative crédible au marché des yachts de luxe monocoques, qu'ils soient à voile ou à moteur.

Le 100 Sunreef Power 2.0 exposé se présente comme un catamaran-superyacht offrant des espaces de vie exceptionnels sur une unité de 100 pieds en comparaison d'un monocoque del la meme taille, avec des espaces exceptionnels, à l'instar du salon à cigares sur mesure et d'un beach club immense équipé de plateformes rabattables.

En parralèle à ce 100 Sunreef Power 2.0, Sunreef Yachts présentera l'un de ses voiliers phares, le Sunreef 80. Un yacht polyvalent, qui parvient le tour de force à associer élégance, confort et performances.

Sunreef Unveils Superyachts with Striking Transoceanic Range

Superyachts are a symbol of style, luxury, and sophistication as they take guests on voyages through the seas with all the amenities of a premium hotel. The primary differences between superyachts and other types of vessels are based on their size. It is important to note that a yacht is only ‘super’ if it falls on the farther side of the scale from 24 meters up until 60 meters. Until recently, catamarans were underrepresented in the world of superyachts, but thanks to Sunreef Yachts’ vision , this is beginning to change.

Superyacht Models by Sunreef Yachts

Sunreef Yachts has established a name for itself in the marine industry by launching innovative mediums of merging luxury and sustainability onboard. Over 22 years ago, Francis Lapp, Founder and CEO of the shipyard, found himself fuelling the desire to build a luxury catamaran from scratch. As a result, in 2003, the Polish manufacturer set afloat the first ever 74-foot sailing luxury catamaran with a flybridge for added dining and lounging spaces. And the rest is history!

Over the years, the shipyard has launched multiple ranges, namely New Beginnings, Sunreef Yachts Eco, and ULTIMA , featuring the latest of technological advancements and innovative designs. These include state-of-the-art superyacht projects with immense living space and ultramodern features.

1. Sunreef 100 & 100 Sunreef Power

Despite remaining in the same length range, the Sunreef 100 sailing yacht and the 100 Sunreef Power catamaran each have their unique architecture. While each technology has its advantages, both have been designed for year-long navigation in supreme luxury. The vast alfresco relaxation areas and interiors can both be customized and adapted to match the preferred navigation plan and lifestyle of its owners.

The panoramic glazing in the main saloon fills the space with natural light while the sliding doors open to connect the interiors with the exteriors. More importantly, there is a world of possibilities for the bow terrace and flybridge as they can be fitted with sunpads, spa-pools, bars, and sofas to name a few. Sunreef Yachts has successfully sold multiple units of the 100-meter superyachts, making it a popular choice among customers.

2. Sunreef 35M

The 35-meter superyacht by Sunreef Yachts brings you closer to the waters with its vast walkaround aft deck, perfect for lounging or indulging in water sports. With an invisible aft garage and easy access to diving gear and water toys, the Sunreef 35M provides an impeccable service experience. Additionally, its 14.7-meter beam translates to expansive living areas onboard with a stateroom capturing stunning panoramic views around the clock and private access to the bow terrace. The Sunreef 35M Eco is a futuristic catamaran, developed with advanced green tech including custom-engineered batteries, composite-integrated solar panels, and state-of-the-art electric engines.

3. 40M Sunreef Explorer

The 40M Sunreef Explorer is a versatile multihull craft that can sail an extended range while maintaining stability through extreme waters. This superyacht reimagines the relationship between indoor and outdoor spaces onboard to match ambitious navigation plans across a total living space of 654m 2 spread out across three decks. The flexible seating aboard stretched out across the 13.34-meter beam allows passengers to take maximum advantage of both the sun and shade. In addition, this 40-meter superyacht houses a launching crane, two jet skis, a 7-meter tender, and dedicated storage for a variety of water toys. The hydraulic aft platform can also be lowered and levelled for guests to enjoy a full-beam private beach.

4. Sunreef 43M

As of 2024, there are two Sunreef 43M Eco’s in production in the Gdansk shipyard. The ‘Eco’ version of the superyacht commits to promoting noiseless, vibration free, and zero emission cruising. Onboard, the hulls, mast, bimini, and superstructure of the Sunreef 43M are to be embedded with solar panels to limit dependency on fossil fuels. This is a hi-tech, green solar power system engineered in-house by the research and development team of Sunreef Yachts. The system is supported by the industry’s lightest lithium-ion electric boat batteries.

5. 49M Sunreef Power

The 4 9M Sunreef Power combines radical naval design with cutting-edge engineering to present a luxurious three-deck concept established over a 17-meter beam. Powered by twin 3400HP engines and aided further with a low resistance twin-hull design, this 49M Sunreef Power allows for a range of over 5000 nautical miles. Apart from the classic, this superyacht also has an alternate version embedded with inhouse engineered solar panels for a more environmentally friendly impact.

6. 50M Sunreef Explorer

This superyacht is designed to travel worldwide, including the most extreme latitudes, in supreme safety, comfort, and luxury. The 50M Sunreef Explorer remains self-sufficient for months with its two engines, fuel tanks, and water tanks, alongside multiple energy-saving features. Not to forget, the 50-meter superyacht boasts a shallow draft, vast entertainment areas, and unmatched storage capacity for a splendid stay onboard.
