We picked this place to have a staycation as a birthday present. The location is really beautiful and it's a short drive from Gothenburg. On arrival the staff was friendly but the room where you pick up the robes and slippers was disorganized and poorly marked. We got to our room which was small but sufficient in space for a standard room. The view was really wonderful but the room itself was pretty worn down. The furniture was new but when looking at the room itself, the floors and doors were very scratched, and there was a noise that sounded like rushing water through the pipes. We got the spa that that was awesome, super relaxing with another great view. As we got ready for bed at like 1 am there was very loud, audible bass thumping and yelling from a party. I am not a light sleeper but this was really annoying and didn't end until about 2 am. I know the property does parties once a month but those are cancelled now because of the corona situation. I have no clue why there was such a large party going on. Additionally, we had two twin beds pushed together that had flimsy pillowtops which slid all over. We did not have a good night's sleep. In the morning we went for breakfast. Fresh cheesy, warm eggs and bacon, sandwiches, and a veggie option too. For drinks they had apple juice, tea and coffee. It was a basic breakfast but everything was prepared well. Overall I'd say that if you want a meal and spa day this is a fun place but avoid the hotel if you can.

Had a great experience with my mum this midday. Ate the lunch buffet witch was absolutely beautiful. Really tasty and good food and desert. The stuff were rely helpful and friendly. The location of the restaurant is as well soooo beautiful, just at the sea.

I stayed at a nice suite with my boyfriend for our 2 year anniversary. We enjoyed the spa, a yummy burger lunch, and had a three course dinner at Kookaburra bar and grill included with our stay. Before talking about that dinner mishap, I must say, their breakfast buffet is pretty darn good. I'd go back for that alone. The spa is also nice. Okay, so dinner alone was enough to turn this from a 5-star experience to a 3-star. The only reason I'm not giving it 1 star is because everything else was fine. Dinner took 2.5 hours. That was for a Caesar salad, grilled chicken with small potatoes and veggies, and a weird popcorn/raspberry sorbet dessert. My boyfriend and I ordered a Long Island iced tea. This is a standard cocktail back in LA--one that all bartenders know. The waiter gave us a weird look and said he's not sure if the bartender could do that but he'll check. Turns out he could, and we got our Long Island iced teas. A properly made Long Island has a lot of alcohol but is made in such a way that it literally tastes like iced tea, not like you're having a shot with every sip. It was very strong and must have had their cheapest liquors. But whatever, my boyfriend and I just wanted to enjoy our anniversary. When we ordered a second Long Island the waiter scoffed, gave us a dirty look, and muffled something like, "yea, I hope you're not driving tonight.. Blah blah." Um excuse me? Do you think that I would even order a cocktail if I was planning on driving? What a snarky comment. So, we got our second cocktail and it also sucked but whatever. If we got a little tipsy, our suite was a two minute walk away. When we got the check, he had charged us for 4 cocktails and 4 shots. Around 936 kronor, or $110. I asked the waiter why he charged us for four shots--that there was a mistake. He told me that a standard drink is 6cl of alcohol and a Long Island iced tea had 10cl. I argued that a Long Island iced tea is a standard cocktail and should be charge as such, and he began treating me like an idiot with his bad, snobbish attitude. So, I asked for his manager. Instead of the manager, they sent some (probably) new guy with more patience and better English. He explained the Swedish laws and the whole alcohol cL thing. I understand the darn law, but what I don't understand is why they couldn't make a smaller drink to fit the 6cl rule (simple math, unless you're a complete idiot) or just warn us from the beginning that it would have an extra charge for the shot. It was already a small glass. I asked if what they charged for a "cocktail" was a little bit of coca-cola with a shot of a cheap alcohol. I mean, truly, there is no reason that this horribly made, small drink should cost that much AND be charged EXTRA. This is a STANDARD cocktail. If your country has special laws, make the drink to fit your laws or warn your customers that you'll charge extra because you literally lack the intelligence to do some simple math to reduce the cocktail to Swedish "standards." Anyway, the second guy they sent was kind and really was trying to help us but he couldn't do much. Our dinner was already paid for, and I paid for the overpriced drinks. After a long back and forth, the head waitress found a way to make a custom cocktail entry in the system. She made the charge to be overpriced but a little bit less than the original bill as to make both parties "happy." Um, I've worked in the service industry before and I know what you did. I decided to let it go, but knew it wouldn't go without a review. Seriously, these servers put a damper on our anniversary night with that crap and their attitudes. I still ended up paying around 836kr, or $98 for 4 small cocktails.
