The 129.99ft Custom motor yacht motor yacht ‘Magic’ was built by Northern Marine Co in the United States. Last refitted in 2014, her interior and exterior design is the work of the Setzer Design Group.

Magic’s interior configuration has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 10 guests overnight in 5 cabins, comprising a master suite, 1 VIP stateroom, 2 double cabins and 1 twin cabin. She is also capable of carrying up to 7 crew onboard in 7 cabins to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

You’ll find many leisure and entertainment facilities onboard, making her ideal for entertaining friends and family on your charter vacation. There’s lots of space for enjoying an alfresco lunch or dinner on deck, or simply lounging in the sunshine and working on your tan.

Magic has a maximum speed of 17 knots, and comfortably cruises at 14 knots. With her 37,854 litres fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 3,000 nautical miles at 14 knots.

A Jacuzzi on deck is just perfect for relaxing with friends and family, while taking in the breath-taking scenery after a long day of exploration.

Wi-Fi connection is available throughout, so you’ll be able to stay connected while you’re away, great for business, checking emails or sharing your experience on social media.

A gym onboard, equipped with the latest exercise equipment, means you’ll never miss a work out. Air conditioning keeps conditions comfortable throughout the cabins, even on the warmest of days or nights.

There’s a portfolio of toys onboard including Wake Board, Water-Skis, 2 x Paddleboards, Tube, and Beach Games, ideal for keeping guests entertained as you sail across the water.

Luxury motor yacht magic, built in 2004 by american shipyard northern marine, sees a contemporary departure for the company who usually builds heavy, trawler-style vessels. with a fibreglass hull and superstructure she features interior and exterior design by setzer design group. this elegant vessel measures 39.62 metres and can accommodate up to 10 guests..

Motor yacht Magic was the largest built by Northern Marine at her launch although she has since been succeeded by the 46 metre Lia Fail. Owners Merlin and Carolyn Hanson requested she be created to reflect a high-speed vessel with a displacement hull easily used in shallow waters. To accommodate this request the luxury vessel was designed with a 6' 10" shallow draft ideal for island cruising, and she is powered by MTU 12V-2000's with 1480 horsepower that ensure she is both economical and high-performing.

The super yacht is spread over three decks and her layout ensures extensive space is created for all staterooms as well as focusing on generous inside and outdoor public areas. The interior is a reflection of the traditional yachts of the 1930s, using timeless details like fluted columns and intricate mouldings to set-off satin-finished raised-panel mahogany. The interior design is highly personalized, featuring significant input by Carolyn Hanson and a handpicked group of stylists.

On the main deck can be found a large sheltered aft deck lounge that connects to the main salon through sliding glass doors. The formal dining salon is also located on this level, serviced by a large and well-equipped gourmet galley. Besides the guest accommodation, the lower deck also houses a guest laundry room and a large walk-in luggage locker tucked neatly beneath the curved staircase descending from the main-deck foyer.

Designed with entertainment in mind, motor yacht Magic’s exterior spaces are a highlight of her design. Particularly noteworthy is the open sun deck fitted with bar/grill area and a large spa tub. The bridge deck is accessed via a stairway that delivers guests to a lobby equipped with a dayhead and dumbwaiter service area. Aft can be found the bridge deck lounge; a covered space boasting lounging cushions and teak decking.

Amongst her five cabins are an indulgent owner’s suite; two King staterooms; one Queen stateroom; and one double/twin cabin. Located forward on the main deck, the full-beam owner’s suite features a generous walk-in dressing room, laundry room, and a private bathroom with Jacuzzi. A neat office connects the suite to the entrance lobby. The two King staterooms are located aft on the lower deck, while the two remaining guest suites are found forward. Each includes marble en suite baths.

Featuring a dedicated crew, Magic cruises comfortably at 15 knots while her crew of seven under the direction of Captain Dave Ober ensure the needs of every guest are met.

Motor yacht Magic is an award winning vessel, winning the 2005 Pacific Northwest Superyacht Society Design Award.

International Airport Irkutsk ( IATA : IKT ) is 5km east of the city center.

Direct flights operate to/from Moscow , Saint Petersburg , Ulan Ude , Novosibirsk , Vladivostok , Yakutsk , and several other Russian cities. International flights operate to from Ulaanbaatar , Hong Kong , Osh , Seoul , Bangkok , Beijing , and Tashkent .

Buses, trams, and minibuses run frequently between the airport and Kirov Square (near the Angara Hotel) and other points in the historical center. A trip via public transport costs approximately RUB20.

By train [ edit ]

Most travellers arrive in Irkutsk via the Trans-Siberian Railway . Irkutsk is about halfway between Moscow and the two eastern terminus cities, Vladivostok and Beijing , making it a good place to break the trip, if only to stretch your legs and buy provisions. The Baikal-Amur Mainline , connecting with more northerly cities, also runs nearby.

Apart from Moscow there are also direct carriages from most cities in Russia such as Saint Petersburg (86 hours), as well as from Minsk (94 hours) and Warsaw (113 hours).

Other popular destinations include Vladivostok , Beijing , Ulaanbaatar , Novosibirsk , Chelyabinsk , Chita , Khabarovsk , Severobaykalsk , Ulan-Ude , Novosibirsk , Neryungri , Blagoveshchensk , Ust-Ilimsk, Novokuznetsk , Penza , Kislovodsk and Abakan .

Be wary of the taxi-drivers at the station if arriving on a late-night train. A taxi ride to the centre of town should only cost RUB200-300. Unlicensed taxis will overcharge you. If there is a disagreement, ask your hostel/hotel owner to come to the taxi and arrange the correct fare.

The historical center of Irkutsk is relatively compact and walkable. Traffic congestion is not bad for a city of nearly 600,000 people.

Free walking tour in English is available in Irkutsk. Also, a self-guided tour with Green Line is possible.

By public transport [ edit ]

For those who want to save time or travel between one side of the river and the other, the public transit system is a good if not slow option. Knowing at least how to read the signs on the buses and bus stops is helpful, and on the minibuses, one must call out to the driver to request a stop. Oddly enough, the names of major bus stops are posted on kiosk roofs parallel to the road so that the names are not often visible from inside the bus. Bus and minibus ("marshrutka") fare is usually RUB12. Local etiquette is to pay the driver when exiting the bus and trolley (therefore you can exit it only through the front door).

Trams: tickets should be purchased on board from collector for RUB15 (July 2019). Tram #4a goes between the train station and the bus station.

Tourist information [ edit ]

The tourist information office (very friendly and useful) is located in the Europe House, 21 F. Engelsa St.(9-20 summer, 9-18 winter) Also there is another tourist information center, which has gift shop and guesthouse, located in the Old Town area at Gryaznova st. 15A (9-22, receiption 24h).

Among the Soviet concrete monstrosities, Irkutsk features many of atmospheric, decaying wooden buildings . Most of these are either abandoned or still used as private residences and add to the atmosphere of the city.

Museums [ edit ]

• City History Museum , Frank Kamenetz, 16A , [x] . 10AM-6PM, Closed Wednesdays . Has an interesting and thorough display of Irkutsk from its inception to the present day.

• Ice-breaker Angara , ( Trolley or bus to Mikrorayon Solnechny ), [x] . Weekdays: 10:00AM-5:00PM . The oldest amongst steam ice-breakers in the world, built in 1900 in Newcastle , now a museum docked at the city's port.
• There is a big dam and hydroelectricity plant in Irkutsk. You can take trolley bus number 8, which will drive across the dam. Afterwards, you can walk to a fuel station, where you can see the power plant very well. Afterwards, you can walk across the dam. Beside the plant, it's also possible to go up and down the dam itself. Not many people seem to consider the dam and hydroelectric plant as an interesting sight, so you'll be more or less alone there.

• In the winter, the central park has many ice sculptures as well as an ice castle that you can walk around in. There are ice slides in this park also. Most Russians stand up and slide on the soles of their shoes. The park is very lively at night with tourists, even though the temperatures drop well below -20 degrees C.
• Hold the right hand's thumb of statue of famous Russian writer A. Vampilov , who was born near Irkutsk, which is located near Drama theather on Karl Marx street for good luck and happiness in your life. It is a new and popular tradition in Irkutsk, started from Vampilov's anniversary.
• Visit Angara embankment at the end of Ul. Karla Marksa in the evening, the place for meeting of the youth.
• Walk down Ul. Uritskogo , a pedestrian street with shops and cafes.

Buy [ edit ]

Wood carvings, birchwood boxes, and lacquer boxes are typical souvenirs of Siberia. A few hotels have souvenir stalls in the lobby, and the Regional Museum at Ul. Karla Marksa 2 has a decent selection in their gift shop as well.

Kamusi are winter boots used by native Siberians made out of deer, elk, or other fur. One place to buy is at a small shop across from the bus station at Ul. Oktyabrskoi Revolyutsii 20B called "Aikhal". It's in a courtyard behind some kiosks, so it takes some searching. They have kamusi for men, women, and children, with prices starting at about RUB3000.

Eat [ edit ]

Irkutsk has many restaurants offering Russian, Siberian, Buryat, Mongolian, Japanese, Chinese and European cuisine.

For a local speciality, Omyl, Sig and Kharius are local fishes found in the lake Baikal (available in many restaurants). Cold smoked kharius is good with beer. Hot smoked kharius you can find in Listvyanka or Kultuk villages near Baikal lake. Price depends on fish size and is usually about RUB150-25 for one. In the Central or New market (Noviy Rinok) you can buy kharius and sig caviar - tasty.

National Buryat big dumplings (boozy, pozy) can be found in Amrita cafés. It's a special Buryat fast food chain with some cafés in the middle of town. Cheap, tasty. Pozy is a steamed meat (beef with pork) big dumplings that must be eaten using only hands.
