The 35-meter model of the displacement series by Filippetti Yacht was designed by Hot Lab with eco-sustainable materials in order to reduce the environmental impact.

THE PERFECT MIX OF LUXURY, COMFORT AND WELL-BEING

Your stress-releasing journey comes true on board the Filippetti Navetta 35 . Guests can relax in the three solarium areas, each wide and private, positioned in the bow, stern and center of the yacht. The main deck houses the majestic master cabin, equipped with very wide spaces, en-suite bathroom and wardrobe. The aft section houses the main deck and the exterior dinette. Equipped with a jacuzzi and a private bow area, the solarium gives guests the possibility to enjoy the upmost privacy, relax on the two large sofas or have a chat around the coffee tables. The upper deck houses a living area with a large dinner table. On the upper deck, the owner can admire the panorama, protected by the hard top, or enjoy navigation from the highest point of the yacht. Below deck, the night area consists of four guest cabins – three double and a single one – all equipped with en-suite bathroom.

A GYM ON THE WATER

Training in the middle of the ocean is now possible. In the center of the yacht, in fact, there is a true gym on the water, equipped with advanced equipment, massage table and private sauna. An opening balcony creates a unique sea view here.

LIGHT IN EVERY ENVIRONMENT

Light is the main player of this Navetta . All environments are flooded with natural light by the enveloping side windows that offer an ample view all around. Below deck, in the middle, the VIP cabin exploits the whole width of the boat, with ample windows on each side.

35 Metre Motor Yacht Aladina Available For Charter

The 35m motor yacht Aladina offers extensive exterior deck space over three floors, including a sundeck with a spa pool. She has extensive audio visual equipment and an immaculate interior by Zuretti.

Launched in 2000, she is a beautiful Benetti Classic and holds a myriad of water sports equipment on board, including a trampoline, windsurfers, an inflatable kayak, snorkelling gear, wakeboards and water skis. She also has a 5m Novurania tender.

Scott Walton has been the captain of Aladina for nine years and he works with five experienced crewmembers. Her twin MTU engines provide a cruising speed of 11.5 knots and a top speed of 16 knots, while her Quantum Zero Speed Stabilisers will be a blessing to anyone who suffers from seasickness, dramatically reducing the movement of the yacht when at anchor.

Aladina has full-beam master and VIP suites, two double cabins and two twin cabins that can accommodate eight guests.

Based in the South of France , in La Napoule, she is spending the summer season in the Western Mediterranean and is chartering at a high season weekly rate of €84,000 and a low season weekly rate of €77,000.

Heesen reveals first yacht of new 57-metre series

Heesen Yachts has revealed the first superyacht in its new 57-metre series, YN 20457 Project Akira, now named Santosha. The yacht boasts an interior volume of 780 GT and features exterior lines penned by Frank Laupman of Omega Architects.

Originally built on speculation, the vessel’s design took a new direction when the owners came on board. Working closely with the yacht’s interior designer, Harrison Eidsgaard, and Heesen ‘s interior engineers, the clients tailored the yacht to reflect their taste and lifestyle, transforming Akira into Santosha.

Aluminium FDHF

First revealed at the 2019 Monaco Yacht Show, Heesen’s 57-metre series has a shapely silhouette with an elongated profile and a scooped-shaped stern. A sweeping arch ties the length of the superstructure together, while the slightly raked angle of the bow gives the yacht a stretched optical length.

The series features a full aluminium hull, an iteration of the ultra-efficient Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF) devised by Dutch hydrodynamicists van Oossanen Naval architects. The hull has been engineered by Heesen’s in-house team and crafted by the shipyard’s welders.

Two MTU 16V 4000 M65L (IMO Tier III) engines propel the yacht up to 22 knots and deliver a transatlantic range of 3900 nm at 13 knots. A draught of just 2.3 metres makes it an ideal platform from which to explore the turquoise shallows of the Bahamas.

Interior quarters

The yacht features a nearly 70-m2 owners’ apartment, which includes a study, a full beam stateroom, and expansive bathroom. The guest quarters – twelve guests in six staterooms – are designed with practicality in mind, drawing on the clients’ extensive experience and deep understanding of life on board.

Bayesian: What we know about the superyacht that sank

The Bayesian, which capsized in the early hours of Monday, was an award-winning yacht owned by a company controlled by the wife of tech tycoon Mike Lynch.

The Bayesian, the award-winning superyacht, sank during a tornado off the coast of Sicily in the early hours of Monday.

The body of one person, Recaldo Thomas, a Canadian-Antiguan chef who was working on the boat, has been found, but six tourists - including British tech entrepreneur Mike Lynch and his 18-year-old daughter, Hannah - remain missing.

Mr Lynch's wife, Angela Bacares, was rescued along with 14 others - including Charlotte Golunski, a mother who told la Repubblica she held her one-year-old baby above the waves to save her from drowning.

The girl's father James Emsley also survived, according to Salvo Cocina of Sicily's civil protection agency.

Among those unaccounted for are Jonathan Bloomer, chairman of Morgan Stanley International, and Chris Morvillo, a lawyer at major firm Clifford Chance, Mr Cocina said.

But what do we know about the ship?

The British-flagged 56 metre ship - previously called the Salute - was built in 2008 by Italian shipyard Perini Navi, and refitted in 2020.

Its 72-metre mast is the world's tallest aluminium mast, and the second tallest overall. The yacht can reach a maximum speed of 15 knots and weighs 543 tonnes.

The French design house Remi Tessier fitted out the Japanese-style interior decor, with touches of light and dark beige and dark wood furnishings, as well as a teak deck.

It won the best exterior styling at The World Superyacht Awards in 2009, and best interior at the International Superyacht Society Awards 2008.

It has six guest bedrooms - one master, three doubles, and two twins - holding 12 people, and can carry another 10 crew members.

Pictures show air conditioning units in several of the bedrooms, which could counter expert claims open windows may have caused water to rush in and tip the boat over faster.

Shipspotting.com says it is owned by a firm called Revtom Limited. Mike Lynch's wife, Angela Bacares, is named as the sole shareholder of the firm on company documents.

The yacht's name would resonate with Mr Lynch because his PhD thesis and the software that made his fortune involved a statistical method known as Bayesian inference, based on an 18th-century theory, that helps forecasters predict outcomes more reliably.

Latest: No one remembers the mast snapping before 56m superyacht Bayesian sunk, says crew

No one recalls seeing the mast snap on board the 56-metre Perini Navi sailing yacht Bayesian which sunk yesterday (19 August) off the Italian island of Sicily. The eyewitness account of a crewmember on board the vessel, which was obtained by BOAT International , said that the boat was struck by a freak weather event which led to the yacht heeling at around 20 degrees to starboard. As crewmembers were securing items, the heeling angle began to increase rapidly until the yacht started sinking.

The crewmembers who were up on deck were able to evacuate the yacht with minor injuries. The yacht is understood to have sunk in just twelve minutes, and it is believed that a "major ingress" of water from the top down would have caused the sinking, according to a captain who wishes to remain anonymous. This is based on the fact that no breaches have been reported in the yacht's hull, and the fact that the yacht should have been able to remain afloat with two flooded compartments.

The captain of the sistership to the sunken 56-metre Perini Navi sailing yacht Bayesian has said it is "very difficult to understand what could have overwhelmed a vessel of that size" and called the 56-metre Perini Navi series "bulletproof".

David Hutchinson, captain of Rosehearty , said he had taken the yacht around the world multiple times and he had "total faith in the boat".  "We've been to Antarctica and Chile, and we've had her in 70 knots of wind," he says, and the vessel had never put them in a situation that felt unmanageable.

However, Hutchinson noted there were differences between Bayesian and Rosehearty ; notably, Bayesian's  74-metre mast, which would have been heavier and added increased windage. The yacht's layout was also different, with guest accommodation on Bayesian located further forward.

Who's currently missing in the Bayesian disaster?

The yacht's sinking in Italy has resulted in one confirmed death, which is understood to be the chef, and six additional people missing.

The six missing individuals are:

• British tech entrepreneur Mike Lynch, once dubbed 'Britain's Bill Gates'
• Lynch's 18-year-old daughter, Hannah
•  Morgan Stanley's chairman, Jonathan Bloomer
• Judy Bloomer, wife of Morgan Stanley chairman
• Chris Morvillo, a lawyer working for London-based law firm Clifford Chance
• Neda Morvillo, an American jewellery designer and Chris' wife

It is understood that the yacht was being used to celebrate Lynch's recent victory in a 13-year £8 billion fraud acquittal.

• A search and rescue is currently underway for six people missing in the waters off Palermo on the Italian island of Sicily.
• Mike Lynch, a British technology entrepreneur who co-founded Autonomy Corporation and founded Invoke Capital, is among the missing.
• Lynch’s wife, Angela Bacares, and a one-year-old are among the fifteen people rescued along with Bayesian' s captain, James Catfield.
• The BBC has reported that the Palermo Coastguard has confirmed the body that has been recovered is that of the yacht's chef.
• Another sailing vessel in the area, the 42-metre Sir Robert Baden Powell ,  is understood to have stepped in to offer assistance in the initial rescue.
• Divers have been able to reach Bayesian' s sunken hull, which lies at 45 metres of depth about half a mile from the coast. The yacht had the largest aluminium masts of any sailing yacht on the water.
• Eyewitnesses in the area reported "hurricane" conditions off the coast but local weather websites did not indicate any severe squall, which suggests that the weather event was not forecast.
• At around 5am local time on 19 August, Bayesian was hit by bad weather and sunk.  The sailing yacht was anchored or idle at the time of the incident.

Built in Italy by renowned builder Perini Navi and delivered in 2008, the yacht's naval architecture was developed by Ron Holland Design while the interior design is by Rémi Tessier . She was formerly known as Salute and was last refitted in 2016. She was listed for sale earlier this year, according to BOATPro . The yacht had accommodation for nine guests and 12 crew.
