The must-see sailing yachts at the Monaco Yacht Show 2024
As the excitement for the Monaco Yacht Show 2024 builds, BOAT takes a look at the top sailing yachts that will be making an appearance this year – from the latest launches to the finest yachts currently for sale .
Norfolk Star
Builder: Perini Navi Year: 1996 (2020) Length: 37m
Pedigree sailing yacht Norfolk Star was designed and built by the Italian shipyard in 1996 and had a "multi-million euro refit" in 2022, according to her broker. The revamp included a new main engine room, two new generators, PLC system, Inmarsat VSAT dome, 505 Williams tender, Doyle sails and Reckmann rigging. With accommodation for six guests, the yacht boasts a family-friendly layout comprising a full-beam master cabin on the lower deck along with two twin cabins – with the option of an additional pullman berth.
On deck, guests can benefit from the comfort the split cockpit area affords, where relaxed seating around a circular coffee table awaits as well as a dining area for eight. The cherry wood interior also welcomes a bright upper saloon with panoramic views and a more formal main saloon with two sofas and dining area featuring an extendable walnut table.
Norfolk Star is listed for sale and will be exhibited by Burgess and Northrop & Johnson.
Builder: Wally Year: 2024 Length: 36.2m
Having hit the water in June this year, the first wallywind110, Galma , will make her global debut at this year's Monaco Yacht Show and is recognisable by her "luminous light metallic blue" carbon hull paint job "that changes slightly as the light hits her". The sailing yacht's naval architecture comes from German studio judel/vrolijk & co , while interior and exterior lines are designed by Wally in collaboration with Santa Maria Magnolfi . The design demonstrates the comfort of a cruising yacht while maintaining the spirit and performance of a racing boat, and is characterised by her 6.9-metre telescopic keel.
Highlights include an 80-square-metre full-beam cockpit with seating and dining for up to 15 people, as well as an open-plan raised saloon. The yacht also benefits from natural light thanks to a skylight that runs the full length of the coachroof. Accommodation on the wallywind100 model can be a three-cabin layout with a full-beam master suite, or a four-cabin standard layout.
Galma will be exhibited by Wally .
Builder: Vitters Year: 2017 Length: 32.6m
Delivered in 2017 to experienced sailing yacht owners, Ribelle has recently joined the market following a refit, which included a repaint of the hull, mast and boom, and a brand new suit of cruising sails. The sailing yacht is built of carbon fibre by the Dutch yard to a design by Malcolm McKeon and can be sailing with a small crew in cruising mode or, thanks to a self-tacking jib, can be transformed into a true racer.
She is a regatta regular and can often be spotted at some of the world's most prestigious events – including the Maxi Rolex Cup, Giorgio Armani Superyacht Regatta, Les Voiles de St Tropez and Palma Superyacht Cup. Her Rémi Tessier interior accommodates six guests in three cabins comprising a master suite, VIP suite and a twin cabin.
Ribelle is listed for sale and will be exhibited by Burgess.
Dreamcatcher
Builder: Nautor Swan Year: 2024 Length: 28.8m
With her diesel-electric propulsion, the Swan 88 is the Finnish shipyard's first hybrid sailing yacht and is based on an evolution of its previous yachts. Sitting at the entry point to the world of maxi yachting, the yacht was delivered earlier this year and will make her worldwide debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival .
Dreamcatcher has been described as a "no-compromise cruiser with a racer soul" with a draught of four metres, with options for a shallow-draught, telescopic and performance keel. The yacht is also designed for comfort with a maximum heeling angle of 20 degrees and sports "feminine exterior lines" penned by veteran Swan designer German Frers . Her warm, classic interiors have been styled by Misa Poggi with accommodation for 10 guests.
Dreamcatcher will be exhibited by Nautor Swan .
Builder: Baltic Yachts Year: 2018 Length: 26m
Delivered by the Finnish shipyard in 2018, Mini Y is a Baltic 85 model designed by UK naval architect Dixon Yacht Design . Her silver hull and superstructure were built of carbon-fibre composite and the owner opted for a telescopic lifting keel that can reduce the draft from 4.3 metres to 2.95 metres when required. Mark Whiteley Design handled the yacht's interior décor , with accommodation for up to four guests split between an owner’s cabin and a guest cabin.
On deck, the cockpit has a fold-out table for guests to enjoy, while the helmsman has the choice of two wheels. The guest cockpit can be completely covered for protection while racing, the navigation instruments still visible on the aft face. Mini Y joined the market earlier this year.
Mini Y is listed for sale and will be exhibited by Baltic Yachts and Edmiston.
Builder: Yonca Year: 2019 (2023) Length: 26.8m
Tuzla-based shipyard Yonca officially entered the leisure marine market with the launch of Mishi Yachts earlier this year. The new brand made its debut with two sailing models, measuring 26.8 metres and 31 metres – the first of which is the Mishi 88, which will be on exhibit at the Monaco Yacht Show 2024. Osman Tanju Kalaycıoğlu , Özgür Terzioğlu and Taka Yacht are responsible for the naval architectecture and exterior design, while interiors are the work of Aylin Örs .
The sloop's defining features include a spacious aft deck with a dining space which can comfortably seat ten guests. Offering shelter from the elements, the large cockpit features a carbon composite hard-top aft, while the swim platform has enough room in its back for a 3.5-meter inflatable tender. Accommodation is for six guests across a master cabin and two guest cabins, with further space for the captain and crew.
Mishi 88 will be exhibited by Mishi Yachts.
Builder: Yyachts Year: 2024 Length: 23.9m
German yachtbuilder YYachts is bringing its Y8 model to the Monaco Yacht Show. Javier Jaudenes of Surge-Projects worked alongside the in-house design team on naval architecture to create the model's new silhouette with a Scandi-inspired interior by Danish designer David Thulstrup. YYachts offers four pre-designed interior styles where owners can tailor the saloon area to their tastes.
A particular highlight is the owner's suite, which includes a separate saloon and can be located either in the bow or in the stern with direct access to the cockpit. In terms of technical details, the Y8 features a standard carbon mast, hydraulic main sheet system and all winches close to the helm stations. These features, along with the self-tacking jib and a lack of a backstay, enhance the yacht's performance and ease of handling.
Y8 will be exhibited by Yyachts.

Monaco Yacht Show 2023: The Largest Yachts on Display
By Frances Flannagan
The iconic Monaco Yacht Show is set to return for its 32nd edition this September; an exceptional industry-wide annual event that exudes unparalleled grandeur and status. To match the magnificent nature of this event, it is no surprise that some of the world’s most spectacular superyachts, both new and old, look to the show as the very best industry stage. We take a look at the five largest vessels on display for its 2023 edition.
97.2m CARINTHIA VII
On display with: Lürssen and Fraser
CARINTHIA VII is a 97.2m motor yacht built by Lürssen Yachts in 2002. With exterior lines and interior design penned by Tim Heywood, she is a vessel that boasts unmatched timelessness. Refitted in 2023, she has a sleek steel hull and aluminium superstructure, with a draft of 4.8m and a beam of 15.95m.
Ranking 68th on Superyachts.com’s Top 100 largest yachts list, she is a highly impressive vessel, able to accommodate up to 12 guests and 15 crew members. She has four MTU 8000 engines, with the ability to reach 25 knots at top speed.
95.2m KISMET
On display with: Cecil Wright
Launched in 2014, KISMET is a 95.2m custom motor yacht from Lürssen, featuring exterior design by Espen Oeino and interiors penned by Reymond Langton Design. She has a steel hull and aluminium superstructure with a gross tonnage of 2700 tonnes, a max draft of 3.9 feet and a beam of 13.80 feet.
KISMET is a perfect vessel for performance as well as for leisure, with a top speed of 17 knots and a range of 6000 NM, as well as being fitted with a jacuzzi, helicopter landing pad and beauty salon. These relaxation opportunities and impressive performance capabilities can be enjoyed by up to 16 guests, whilst also able to house 27 crew members. KISMET ranks at 73 on our Top 100 list.
83.5m SAVANNAH
On display with: Feadship
SAVANNAH represents something new within sustainability in the superyacht industry, widely considered to be one of the first true hybrid motor yachts. This 83.5m yacht is one of the most award-winning Feadships on the water. Not only representing a new phase of evolution with regards to sustainability, SAVANNAH is a masterpiece of innovation through design, with a ‘floating superstructure’ that gives her a recognisable, yet timeless profile.
She was built in 2015, with exterior design by De Voogt Naval Architects and CG Design, who also assisted in the interior styling. The experience on board that is offered to guests is as impressive as the other aspects of her design, with an underwater lounge, cinema, and pool; the ultimate superyacht paradise.
80m LEONA
On display with: Bilgin Yachts
Launched in November 2022, 80m LEONA is the second hull launched from Bilgin Yachts’ Bilgin 263 series. With an eye-catching red hull and gleaming white superstructure, she caught attention from her very first sighting. She has a beam of 12.25m and a draft of 3.5m, with the ability to reach up to 19 knots.
Unique Yacht Design are responsible for her naval architecture and exteriors, boasting exclusive and large spaces on board, making her the ideal entertainment vessel for the 10 guests she can accommodate. Interiors were penned by H2 Yacht Design, with a cinema, gym and sauna being notable amenities on board.
77.74m O’REA
On display with: Golden Yachts
In May of this year, Golden Yachts launched their 77.74m superyacht O’REA. Featuring exterior design by Studio Vafiadis, she is characterised by a powerful profile. Studio Vafiadis and Massari Design collaborated on her interiors; a contemporary design that seamlessly blends indoor and outdoor spaces. Over 250 finishes, materials and precious stones were used to decorate the stunning interior spaces, showing her to be the pinnacle of luxury.
The ultimate relaxation escape, O’REA has an expansive swimming pool, a health bar and a spa and sauna. She is powered by twin Caterpillar engines and is equipped with a Dynamic Positioning System, meaning that she can hold place without dropping anchor.
We for one are extremely excited to see this lineup, alongside numerous other yachts at the show this year. The Monaco Yacht Show will be taking place from the 27th to the 30th September.
"I am very proud that after building Carinthia VII, we have now been able to participate in her new lease on life with an extensive refit." Peter Lürssen, Managing Partner, Lürssen

White island.
Length: 39m Builder: Aegean Yacht
Not currently for sale
White Island is one of the latest custom creations from Turkish shipyard Aegean Yacht. Her neoclassic design is a modern take on a traditional gulet with two masts, a raised deckhouse and a long bowsprit. A 261GT interior sleeps 10 guests.
Length: 35m Builder: Nautor Swan
The suitably named Fancy is the first in a new line of Swan Maxis. The new Swan 108 plugs the gap between the Swan 98 and the Swan 120 flagship with modified exterior styling by Micheletti + Partners and naval architecture by German Frers. One of the more noticeable evolutions is the yacht’s dual-acting transom door, which sees the stern open along with part of the aft deck to create a generous waterfront beach club, offering nearly double the space than on previous Maxis. A second unit is already underway at the Finnish shipyard.
Length : 29.7m Builder : YYachts
The new flagship of YYachts, Bella , will make her first appearance at the Monaco Yacht Show this year following delivery in November 2022. She is the first unit in the shipyard’s Y9 series designed by Bill Tripp and eclipses its former flagship, Prevail , by 2.3 metres. Built entirely in carbon fibre, she is a performance cruiser and has been carefully designed to sail with as little as two crew, with the mainsheet centred on the bimini top keeping the social cockpit clear of sheets.
Length : 53m Builder : Alloy Yachts
Drumbeat was built for an experienced yachtsman and delivered in 2000 as the second in the Salperton dynasty. Not only was she the biggest boat ever built by shipyard Alloy Yachts, but she was the largest yacht to be built in New Zealand. Designed by Ed Dubois, she is fitted with a carbon ketch Panamax rig that flies 2,400 square metres of sail downwind. Drumbeat has had the same owner since 2007 but is now offered for sale.
Drumbeat is listed for sale with Atalante asking €22,000,000.
State of Grace
Length: 39.4m Builder: Perini Navi
State of Grace was launched in 2013 as the first of Perini Navi’s 40m Fast Cruising series, a collaboration between Perini Navi and Ron Holland. Her sailing credentials include a 51.8-metre Southern Spars mast, captive reel winches that can hold 12 tonnes and rewind 35 metres of sheets per minute and a lifting keel that reduces her draught from nine to 3.5 metres. Inside, she has a split-level saloon, sleeps six, and is offered for sale following a refit and upgraded interior.
State of Grace is asking €11,750,000 with Cecil Wright & Partners.
Length : 43.3m Builder : Baltic Yachts
The brief for Canova was for the ultimate cruiser with a design that prioritised comfort, enabled short-handed sailing, and offered plenty of shade in the cockpit. Twin helm stations are positioned close to the bulwarks for forward visibility; the mainsheet track is set out of harm’s way on the coachroof, well-distanced from guests and crew; and a self-tacking jib is sheeted forward of the mast to avoid flailing sheets sweeping the side decks. What’s more, she has a hybrid engine and DSS foil which makes her uber-efficient. The Baltic Yachts and Farr Yacht Design collaboration won Sailing Yacht of the Year at the World Superyacht Awards.
Sunreef 80 Eco
Length : 23.9m Builder : Sunreef Yachts
Sunreef’s 80 Eco model combines catamaran comfort with an impressive list of green tech – including solar panels on every surface. The “eco” version of Sunreef’s bestselling catamaran can run for days, weeks or even months without burning a drop of fossil fuel – enough to cross an ocean – thanks to a powerful 200-square-metre, fully battened main and a 155-square-metre jib, variable pitch propellers that generate energy under sail, and up to 160 square metres of solar panels.

- Le Jimmy’z : Iconic night club which plays host to A-listers and Hollywood ingénues, where international DJs play their sets as the rich and famous mingle outdoors on the terrace and Japanese garden
- Oceanographic Museum : Perched on cliffs overlooking the glittering Mediterranean, the museum is home to an array of fascinating marine exhibits spread over 5 levels, including interactive displays, tactile pool, Whale Room and ImmerSEAve 360º virtual reality transporting visitors to the depths of the ocean.
- Cathédrale de Monaco : Built on a site that dates back to the 13th century, the cathedral has played a significant role in the history of the Monegasque royal family.
- Larvotto Beach : This man-made stretch of pale cream sands offers visitors a relaxing sun-kissed haven where you can enjoy table service as you top up your tan. The newly revamped complex also boasts an array of cafes, bars and restaurants lined along its pine-shaded promenade.
With the grandeur of a bygone era, Monaco's diminutive dimensions belie the rarefied bubble it attracts: long graced by stars, royalty and the SuperyachtSet, the country's iconic marina is a superyacht extraordinaire. Bestowed with bars and boutiques nearby, cradled by soaring hills that are etched with the eye-poppingly ornate royal palace, and the Belle Époque twin glories of Casino de Monte-Carlo and opera house Salle Garnier a mere saunter away, Port Hercule is ablaze with the world's glitterati each summer.
This picturesque coastal nation is the world’s smallest country, after the Vatican, and is renowned as a haven for the rich and famous, who enjoy the Monaco’s tax-free status and glamorous locales.
In 1297, the Grimaldi family settled in Monaco after the land was granted to Genoa by Emperor Henry IV, with ancestors of the family controlling the principality ever since. In 1949, Prince Rainier III ascended the throne, and married Grace Kelly in 1956. The prince played an important role in bringing economic prosperity to the area, while his American actress wife was instrumental in promoting arts and culture and bringing glamor to the small nation.
The principality’s tax-free status and no income tax has attracted many rich residents, who have also played their part in shaping this tiny glittering enclave into the JetSet destination it is today. Monaco’s rich cultural influences can also be attributed to its neighbors France , Italy & Spain , with Roman Catholicism making up over two thirds of its resident’s religious beliefs.
Perched with poise above the cornflower-blue waters of the Mediterranean , motor yacht and sailing yacht charters in Monaco are in prime position to explore the wonders of the encircling French Riviera, such as Villefranche-sur-Mer, St. Tropez , Nice and Cannes , as well as venturing further afield to the Italian Riviera . Unsure what type of charter for Monaco to choose? Below we've highlighted the main points of difference.
A crewed motor yacht charter in Monaco beckons guests with its decadent allure, entirely in keeping with the principality's chichi surrounds. Think your own private chef, five-star hotel service and amenities onboard your plush paradise. With a yacht charter itinerary put together entirely to meet your needs, make the most of your freedom at sea and anchor at otherwise inaccessible bays dotted along the glittering shore.
If you are looking to lap up the splendor of Monaco and the nearby cruising grounds of France at a slower rhythm (combined with considerable outdoor deck space) a sailing yacht charter is an ideal fit. Coupled with Monaco's enviable climate, averaging more than 300 days of sunshine per year, you'll bronze in timeless style.
There is a multitude of charter yachts available in and around Monaco, given its prime position on the French Riviera and as one of the most popular West Mediterranean yacht charter destinations among the SuperyachtSet. With so many options available, there’s something to suit every type of budget. For convenience we have listed the average prices for motor yacht and sailing yacht charters in Monaco below;
- For motor yacht rentals in Monaco, prices can range from $31,319 to $1.6m per week, plus expenses
- For luxury sailing yacht rentals in Monaco, prices can go from $30,130 to $542,712 weekly, plus expenses
As well as the Monaco yacht charter fee itself (plus any delivery or redelivery costs), you will need to pay VAT. But how much does VAT cost for yacht charters in Monaco? Below are the main points you need to consider before chartering:
- The new rules, which came into force in 2020, state that VAT on charters starting in Italy, France and Monaco is now applied at the country's full VAT rate at the origin of the charter, i.e. the port of embarkation.
- The standard rate of VAT is 20% for charters originating in either Monaco or France. This applies regardless of the port of disembarkation.
- For itineraries incorporating other countries, VAT will always be applied at the rate of the country of origin. So, if the charter commences in France or Monaco the rate is 20%, if the charter begins in Italy the rate is 22%.

The best time to visit Monaco varies on your intentions. Head out in May or September if you are looking to see and be seen at one of its world-renowned events, but avoid these months if you are after something more tranquil in nature. Opt for June and August when the temperature peaks, or October for clement weather and warm waters but fewer crowds.

- Monaco is eminently a walkable city, however it can be quite steep with lots of hills and flights of steps. For anyone with accessibility issues, the region offers a series of public elevators (ascenseurs publics) dotted around the various wards.
- Port Hercules is one of the most sought-after berths globally and you will need to book months in advance if you are looking for a slip during the high season.
- At peak times, it's worth visiting popular sites early. Shops and businesses don't tend to open until around 10am, so anytime before this tends to be relatively crowd-free.
- The closest airport to Monaco is Nice, complete with a dedicated private jet terminal. Monaco also has a number of heliports available that guests may take advantage of.
- When venturing through Monaco taxis are the best mode of transport, but can prove hard to come by during high season events.
With its A-lister appeal, rich arts and culture and array of world-class events, Monaco is undoubtedly one of the most popular destinations in the Mediterranean . Therefore, we advise you to book your yacht charter well in advance of your trip to secure your perfect yacht on your preferred dates. If you leave it too late, the selection of yachts at your disposal will be reduced and you may not be able to explore the destinations you have your heart set on. Plus, finding dates when everyone in your charter party is available can be tricky; the longer you leave it, the more challenging it will be.

The Feadship Adventure, a 52.69m yacht, recently left our La Ciotat yard following a refit which included the mandatory 20-year complete service. The yacht was fitted with new, high-performance technological equipment and given a 2.70m extension to its swim platform.
Thanks to close cooperation with Y.CO's brokerage staff and Adventure's crew, the refit was a real success, fulfilling the owner's wishes and giving him a more modern, improved and stylish yacht.
Our staff worked hard to give Adventure new abilities and a new, more modern and sleek look. This work was a huge cooperation between the different teams.

Whether it's for her compulsory 5, 10 or 15-year inspections, regular maintenance work or repainting, Spirit is a regular visitor to our various worksites.

Principality prepares to host Monaco Yacht Show 2024
The next edition of the Monaco Yacht Show will take place from 25 to 28 September 2024.
There will be a few road closures to facilitate setting up Monaco Yacht Show 2024. These include: Quai des Etats-Unis/Avenue J.F. and Quai Antoine Ier (from 9 September) and the different quays in the Port.
Same goes for the Route de la Piscine, which will be closed for a fortnight to meet the logistical requirements of setting up the exhibition stands. However, it will still be open throughout, in the Portier-Quai Antoine Ier direction, during the morning rush hour except for the day before the Show opens and the three days after it ends.
There will be parking bans as well as restrictions for both vehicles and pedestrians, including total closures for a few days in some cases. But don’t panic, measures will be put in place to ease traffic flow during rush hour. It will be possible to drop off children attending nearby schools, and deliveries will be facilitated by temporary traffic diversions.
As for two-wheelers, they will be able to park on avenue de la Quarantaine once the Quai Antoine Ier is occupied.
Although public access to the area will gradually be restored as of 29 September, things won’t be completely back to normal until 10 October.
A guide to the best restaurants in Monaco
Published 23 September 2021
There are no fewer than 86 of France’s 628 Michelin-starred restaurants in the Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur region where Monaco is located, five of them holding a coveted three Michelin stars. Few places in the world rival the Principality for its variety of world-renowned restaurants, all located within a stone’s throw from one another. It’s an exceptional and rare scenario that pushes the best of the best to continually jostle for pole position, resulting in the gastronomic itinerary of a lifetime.
Le Louis XV - Alain Ducasse à l'Hôtel de Paris
Alain Ducasse’s Monaco menu at Le Louis XV is a taste sensation. Nestled in l'Hôtel de Paris Monte Carlo, the three-starred restaurant is considered the jewel in the Principality’s fine-dining crown, if not the best French cuisine in the world, made evident when it became the first hotel restaurant to receive a coveted three Michelin stars.
The atmosphere
Le Louis XV commands eye-watering Monaco prices and yet reservations are highly recommended. A smart dress code is required, with jackets to be worn even when dining on the terrace in summer. The ornate decor is a celebration of gilded mirrors and marble pillars in an ode to the Palace of Versailles, and a nod to 'le bien aime'.
The cuisine
Sit back and prepare for the contemporary Mediterranean menu to take you on an epic journey of the French Riviera. Bold flavourful sauces, intense broths and fresh condiments accompany fish from local fishers, herbs and vegetables from the hinterland. Head Chef Dominique Lory’s renowned gastronomy is accompanied by exceptional wine pairings from Head Sommelier Noel Bajor selected from one of the finest cellars in the world.
Yannick Alleno à l'Hôtel Hermitage
L'Hôtel Hermitage’s classic Belle Epoque architecture is almost as well loved as the Principality itself. Housed within this neoclassical palace rooted in the heart of Monaco resides another three-starred retaurant with the doyen of cookery, Chef Yannick Alleno, at the helm.
The restuarant provides a lively and vibrant dining experience seven days a week. Frequented by a loyal following of Monegasque residents, it shuns the formalities adopted by many of its gastronomic neighbours in favour of a relaxed and inviting ambience. Tables are grouped together in small lounge areas, while the sun terrace affords panoramic views across Port Hercules.
Simplicity is the name of the game, proposing reinventions of traditional fare. Dishes include king crab topped with cream and nettle vinegar, Norwegian lobster with spring herbs and sea bream sashimi. For those short on time, the business lunch menu is an unrivalled express option.
Le Blue Bay
Martinique-born Chef Marcel Ravin fuses audacious Caribbean flavours with local Mediterranean ingredients to great applaud at Le Blue Bay. The Michelin-starred restaurant has fast become recognised as a Sunday brunch mainstay on the Monaco food scene, located in Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel and Resort.
The dining room experience is as sophisticated as the food on the plate, while on the terrace, patrons are treated to sprawling vistas of the Mediterranean Sea. For something a little more special, reserve a seat at Ravin’s table, which faces the open kitchen and provides an intimate setting for a one-to-one with Chef and his team.
Le Blue Bay’s signature dishes slip off the fork faster than they roll off the tongue, from green papaya spaghetti with carbonara, truffle and Iberico ham, and the unmissable organic hhicken with truffle and passion fruit. Each dish is dressed on a made-to-measure plate thrown by a potter from Ravin’s native island that evokes the memory of the Caribbean seabed.
Yoshi is the only Japanese restaurant on the Côte d'Azur to have been awarded a Michelin star. Located in the Hôtel Metropole, which itself is contained in the glamorous Carré d'Or, the restaurant conveniently sits less than 100m from the area’s luxury boutiques and the famed Casino Square.
Veteran interior designer Didier Gomez has created a chic and sophisticated zen ambience. Apple green seating is twinned with a pan-Asian interior design, accented by pops of burnt orange and light wood panelling. The restaurant opens onto a Japanese-inspired garden designed by Parisian landscape architect Jacques Messin.
Prepare to experience umami in all its forms, as Chef Takeo Yamazaki creates a whirlwind of nigiris, makis and sashimi, all prepared on the Teppanyaki. Using the freshest ingredients, each dish is then paired with the rarest of Japanese sake, whiskies or green teas by Yoshi’s head sommelier for an unforgettable feast from the Far East.
Quai des Artistes
When visiting Monaco by yacht, Quai des Artistes makes for an ideal and convenient stop off. Situated on the edge of Port Hercules, guests can move from yacht to table in just a few short steps. Seating up to 120 diners at any one time, this Parisian-style brasserie is a reliable walk-in option at any time of the day.
When it comes to restaurants in Monaco with a view, few can rival the clear line of sight to the princely palace and line-up of superyachts that typically dock in front of this establishment. A shaded terrace under the arcades is the go-to in winter, while a larger terrace at the edge of the port is a summer hot spot.
Serving the freshest of seafood, with the option to takeaway, Quai des Artistes is an everyday favourite with the benefit of public parking under the terrace. Here is where you will find quintessential French cuisine classics, from Burgundy snails cooked in garlic butter to crepes suzette.
La Marée Monaco
Specialising in fish, seafood, oysters and caviar, La Marée Monaco is a seafood restaurant with flair. Sourcing the best catches in the early hours at the dock, the produce is divided between tanks, kitchen and fish counter allowing guests to hand pick their order each time.
Overlooking the harbour and bathed in soft light the restaurant is a heady mix of Monegasque revelry, music and sophistication. La Marée Monaco provides a non-stop service throughout the day - alongside the eatery sits the dedicated boutique serving just-cooked takeaway bites, selected straight from the fish counter.
Whether cooked in salt crust, foil or grilled, the mouth-watering menu is a carnival of the ocean. The seasonal dishes are reliant on what the fishing boats bring in, making each visit a delightful surprise for the senses. That said, an array of everyday essentials, such as salmon tartare, oyster tempura and maatjes herring guarantee a culinary adventure every visit.

Prince Albert and Princess Charlene's off-duty yacht getaway with twins
Grace kelly's son and the former olympic swimmer are holidaying with prince jacques and princess gabriella.
Prince Albert , 66, and Princess Charlene of Monaco , 46, wasted no time getting stuck into activities on their family holiday with twins Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella.
Grace Kelly's son and the former Olympic swimmer have been enjoying a break in the sun, including swimming in the sea, playing in the sand and lounging on a boat.
Charlene has previously opened up about making sure she doesn't force her children into following in the sporty footsteps of herself and her husband, who are both former Olympic athletes.
She represented South Africa in 2000, while the Prince of Monaco competed in bobsledding at the Winter Olympics five times between 1988 and 2002.
"I don’t want to push them into training intensely for a sport," she began during an interview with Monaco-Matin .
"The first thing that felt essential for my husband and I was to teach them how to swim so they wouldn’t be scared of swimming.
"These days, they’re very confident in the water and Prince Albert is often with them taking part in aquatic activities, for example over the summer," the South African blonde beauty continued.
The pair highlighted the importance of travel, especially to South Africa where Charlene can share her childhood memories.
"We have also taken them to different countries around the world. It’s a privilege to be able to do that," Charlene said, and her husband added: "I don’t think that many children their age will have visited as many countries as them, but it is all part of their education."
The family of four are likely enjoying packing in some quality time together before the next school year starts. In 2023, Charlene said her kids – who were previously homeschooled – were l ooking forward to returning after their summer break.
"Jacques and Gabriella were both very excited to see their friends again after such a long vacation. It's also the first time that they won't be in the same class," she said.
"It's a big step for them, and that seems good to me. So, like for any student on their first day back at school, they had a lot of expectations about their new classmates, their teachers, about what they were going to wear for their first day."

Candela to deliver 8 electric foiling ferries to saudi arabia’s neom.

With its largest order to date in the serial production of electric foiling vessels, Swedish ... [+] boatmaker Candela will deliver eight electric foiling ferries to Saudi Arabia's NEOM sustainable development along the Red Sea Coast.
Swedish boatmaker Candela is disrupting the ferry boat experience with its 12 passenger electric foiling ferry. Candela has agreed to provide the initial order of eight electric foiling ferries for the service network of the massive Saudi Arabian Red Sea Project NEOM . The boat was chosen for its advantages in speed, endurance, efficiency, sustainability, and a smooth, quiet ride.
Candela's model P-12 electric foiling ferries prove the perfect complement to the 10,270 square mile (26,500 square kilometer) development at NEOM, a zero-carbon, circular economy gigaproject on the Red Sea coast. The development, part of a larger collection of the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund's Saudi Vision 2030 undertaking, embraces sustainability throughout its master plan.
The Candela P-12 measures 40 feet (12 meters) in length with a 15 foot (4.5 meter) beam and can carry up to 30 seated passengers. It has a top speed of 30 knots and a 50 nautical mile range at 25 knots.
The interior of the Candela P-12 electric foiling ferry can be configured in a number of ways, from ... [+] regular seating to a luxurious lounge, accommodating a wide range of uses.
Candela's Unique Approach
Many companies put forth prototypes of foiling vessels, but Candela stands alone in the successful serial production of electric hydrofoil vessels delivered to customers, 70 and counting in the two generations of C-7 and C-8 models. Today, they are the only company in the world to undertake serial production of an electric foiling ferry, the P-12.

Candela has undertaken the design and manufacture of all critical components in-house. The carbon fiber hulls, foils, and decks, along with the computers that run the flight systems, software like the user interface, and the C-POD motors used for propulsion are all produced by Candela, optimizing the process and assuring quality control.
The single critical component they do not make is the Polestar battery. The safety standards held by the automotive industry and the proven energy density allow Candela to scale production effectively using this proven technology.
The Candela C-POD Streamlined Motor
The patent Candela C-POD streamlined direct drive motors with contra-rotating propellers was ... [+] designed to operate under water. No gears, no transmission, no noise.
The Candela P-12 has low maintenance costs due to fewer moving parts, yielding a 3,000 hour service life for the Candela C-POD. The craft emits 97.5 percent less CO2 during its lifetime when compared to a similar sized conventional diesel vessel, according to a life cycle analysis performed by the KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm.
The design of the optimized power train results in a super compact, super efficient motor, according to Claes Bonde, Candela Senior Mechanical Engineer. The propulsion system places one motor in front and one aft, driving two propellers, contra-rotating for efficiency.
Everything has been made as simple and as streamlined as possible, reducing the size of both the motors and propellers. Speeds of both the motor and props are optimized, reducing tip speed in relation to rotational speed. That enables the C-POD to deliver the smallest, most efficient units that stay below the limit of cavitation even at high rotational speeds.
Tomas Löfwall, Senior Electrical Powertrain Engineer emphasizes that the motors are very robust with reduced complexity. The motors are passively cooled by seawater on the outer housing, requiring no gears and no oil. "Brilliant design is about reducing complexity," Löfwall says, "And this is what we have done."
Flight Controller Stabilization
Sensors along the perimeter of the ferry measure wave height, roll, and pitch data, sending information to the computer with adjustments made up to 100 times each minute. The result is a smooth ride, flying above the waterline, quietly and quickly.
The Candela P-12 electric foiling ferry can be configured to client needs, offering an efficient, ... [+] quiet, low maintenance method of water transit.
Candela foiling ferries use a computer-guided system to fly above the water, making up to 100 adjustments per second, working to remove friction from the hull/water interface. The Candela P-12 uses 80 percent less energy than conventional vessels with a speed of 25 knots and a duration of two hours of operation, earning it the distinction as the fastest electric passenger ship with the longest range.
"The P-12 is designed to create zero-emission water transport systems which have significant improvements over traditional water commuting” says Gustav Hasselskog, CEO and founder of Candela. Further, Hallselskog explains, "Unlike legacy systems with large, slow, and energy-inefficient conventional ferries, the Candela P-12 is a smaller and faster unit, allowing much more frequent departures and quicker journeys for passengers. All daily necessities and services will be just a short boat commute away.”
The Candela electric foiling ferry alongside the Candela C-8 electric hydrofoil leisure boat, both ... [+] offer smooth, efficient, quiet flights across the water. The C-8 can travel at 22 knots for 60 miles on a single charge.
Focused on improving current transit modes, Hasselskog states, "Our hydrofoil technology unlocks the potential of waterways, offering quicker, more comfortable, and cheaper journeys, reducing road congestion from Stockholm to New York to Bangkok."
