We aim to bring you our unique blend of western business culture and a thoroughly local experience on both our own stunning gulet in Turkey, along with some other additions to the fleet and with our partners’ gulets in Montenegro and Croatia. Sailing holidays in Turkey, Greece, Montenegro and Croatia are a fantastic way to view the beautiful Mediterranean, Aegean and Adriatic coasts.   We are passionate about providing the perfect holiday for each of our guests. All of our packages are highly inclusive and fully customisable to meet your wishes. Our crew are handpicked for their skills and charm, and, with your own personal chef on board, you will receive 5-star food as well as carefully chosen local beers, wines and soft drinks.

Family holidays/group celebrations are our speciality. When you are sailing with Salamander Voyages the boat you choose will be yours and yours only for the week. WE DO NOT OFFER CHARTER BY THE CABIN so your gulet holiday will be the perfect, private experience no matter the occasion.   Our Turkish sailing boat Salamander hosts a maximum of 12 guests while other options can host parties of up to 22. (We also have a handful of other gulets to choose from). All gulets in our fleet have en-suite cabins and are extremely comfortable. Each vessel has a range of board games, playing cards, accessible Wi-Fi and the option of water sports such as paddle-boarding, canoeing and snorkelling.   We provide a truly all-inclusive experience with no surprise charges once we dock. Gulet description

Gulet Northwind is a classic Turkish style schooner gulet. This boat has a base port in Rhodes and sails under the Greek flag. With 28 meters in length it is a great choice for large groups who want to cruise in style and comfort sailing in Greece.

On board there are 8 cabins ; of which 6 doubles and 2 triple cabins with double and single bed. All cabins are equipped with air conditioning, toilet, shower, wardrobe and hairdryer. The sunbathing mattresses will give you the perfect opportunity to sunbathe and relax while cruising.

With exceptional service managed by 4 crew members, Northwind gulet presents itself with an excellent value for money.

Gulet cruises in Greece

The gulet is a classic wooden boat, which has its origins in Turkey, to then be exported all over the world. Originally the gulet was used by Turkish fishermen as a work boat, for fishing and for transporting goods. Therefore, it is fascinating to think about how these boats sailed along the Aegean Sea and the Mediterranean Sea hundreds of years ago. However, because of the breadth of its spaces, once equipped with all the comforts, the intended use of the gulet has become a tourist destination, while maintaining all the charm of its history that permeates from the woods. The local shipwreck masters who build them, use common woods such as pine and more precious ones such as teak, iroko and mahogany. The gulet sailed mainly by motor but with its sails explained it showed all its elegance.

Great holiday

I have just returned from a week on the Northwind gullet in South Dodecanese. We had a fantastic holiday and everyone got on extremely well together. The 3 crew members were lovely and made maximum efforts to cater to our every need. The itinerary worked well with a mixture of lazing in the sun, swimming off the boat and onshore visits. Did before North Dodecanese cruise ; if I compare the 2 routes…maybe North part is more interesting for sightsseing; but overall wherever you sail with a gullet is just beautiful.

Day 1: check-in.

Landing in Athens, you can take advantage of the transfer service (included in the price) departing from the capital's international airport at 16:30 and heading to the embarkation marina. The departure base for this cruise will be the port of Oreoi. After the quick check-in procedures, stowing your luggage in your cabins and attending the crew briefing, you will enjoy your first dinner on board the wonderful gulet that will host you during your week of discovery of the beautiful Sporades Islands.

You will leave your moorings early in the morning to reach Skopelos, but first you will stop on the islet of Pontikonissi. Fins, mask and snorkel at the ready, ready to dive into beautiful turquoise waters to discover its depths, while the crew prepares a delicious lunch for you on board. In the early afternoon you will sail to Agnontas on the island of Skopelos, where you will have dinner and spend the night.

Spend the next two days sailing between Skopelos and Alonissos. The former boasts picturesque sand and pebble beaches lapped by crystal-clear waters reflected in the green pine trees that form the backdrop. You will pass from sheltered coves to quaint towns, to the famous little church of St. Ioannis - Kastri from the film 'Mamma Mia'. The second, due to its more remote location, is an unspoilt paradise where time seems to stand still. You will discover wild beaches and small harbours with villages where life flows slowly. In the Alonissos nature reserve, you might even come across some dolphins or monk seals! The itinerary and stops will depend on the weather and wind conditions. There are protected harbours and bays in which to spend the night.

After a good breakfast on board and a refreshing dip, a short sail will take you to the island of Skiathos, the most famous of the Sporades archipelago. Spend the day discovering the west coast of the island, in particular its capital, which is perfect for a stroll through the characteristic alleys, small shops and typical restaurants where you can enjoy some excellent traditional dishes. In the late afternoon, after a day of sea and relaxation, spend the night in a sheltered bay under the stars.

This morning you hoist the sails to the beautiful beach of Koukounaries on the west coast of Skiathos. One kilometre of golden sand bathed by emerald waters like the pine forest behind you. In the early afternoon you will stop along the coast for a few dips and a relaxing swim in some quiet beaches before reaching the small harbour of Trikeri in the evening.

Last day of sailing to Oreous. During the cruise you will pass pretty harbours and small beaches, where you can spend a few hours relaxing in the turquoise waters of the Aegean Sea. In the late afternoon you will return to the port of disembarkation, where you will spend the last night on board.

Day 8: Check-out

After the last breakfast on board, disembarkation is scheduled in the morning in order to reach Athens airport. The transfer service is included in the price.

The 34m long luxury gulet Virtuoso was built in 2017 and she is providing luxury yacht charter service to her dearest guests with its 6 crew members.

The first impression of the Luxury gulet VIRTUOSO is of size and space. From her high beam and the wide aft deck with cushioned bench and a full sized dining table where al fresco meals are enjoyed, to her long foredeck where sunbeds are ready for up to twelve guests, there is abundant space to relax and to savour the views over the water.

The luxury gulet VIRTUOSO holds 2 Master Cabins, 3 Double Cabins, 1 Twin Cabin, more elegantand comfy than each other with their own wc and air conditioning, with a total of 6 cabins. A dedicated living space fort the crew, a fully furnished kitchen, indoor and outdoor spaces for eating and relaxing, and an American bar are available. There are enough sun bath cushions, chairs and services for every single guest. This yacht that is built to make our guests live the comfort, the luxury and the serenity at the same time, can reach a speed up to 11 nautical mile. Gulet Yacht Virtuoso - 2024 Charter Rates / Per Day

Advance Provisioning Allowance (A.P.A) in amount of the charter fee (before discount) is to be paid by the charterer in addition to the charter fee which includes all fuel and relevant costs for the yacht and its tenders, as well as all harbor expenses, customs, gratuity and other additional costs for the yacht, crew, client and guests during the entire charter period.

A.P.A. is obligatory for all luxury yachts and it is usually ranged for 30% of the charter price. The Client will be advised by the captain, at intervals, as to the disbursement of the A.P.A and will, if the balance remaining becomes insufficient, in light of current expenditure, pay to the captain, a sufficient sum to maintain an adequate credit balance. Prior to disembarkation at the end of the charter period, the captain shall present to the Client a detailed account of expenditures with as many supporting receipts as possible, and the Client will pay to the captain the balance of the expenses or the captain will repay to the Client any balance overpaid, as the case may be.

Payment for special requirements or equipment and/or shore transport and/or excursions and/or all other expenses not customarily considered part of the Yacht's costs may be required to be paid to the captain on board in addition to the charter fee and/or A.P.A.

Gulet Hemera is 28 meters long and completely renovated in 2013. She has 2 Double, 7 Triple Cabins, thereby accommodating 18 guests, all in air-conditioned cabins. Each cabin has a separate WC and shower unit.

There is a spacious cushioned seating area, dining table and dining area at the rear of the boat. There is a separate dining table in saloon and your meals are prepared in a fully equipped separate kitchen. Hemera Gulet has enough sunbathing mats and space for all guests. There are a TV, DVD and music system in the saloon.

There are separate cabins for the 3 crew accompanying you on your cruise. The Crew organizes all meals, cleaning, maintenance, and daily activities during the cruise. Safety and comfort of our guests is an absolute priority and the crew has been trained to ensure that. They retire to their own cabins once there are no more jobs or when you need privacy.
