Golden Yachts announces the launch of new generation 78m superyacht O’REA

The latest addition to the Golden Yachts Fleet, 78m (255ft) superyacht O’REA has been launched, marking a new milestone for the Greek shipyard as they introduce 'the new generation of Golden Yachts.'

Completely unique and dissimilar from the designs of her sisterships, superyacht O'REA boasts a contemporary plumb bow that differs from the flared bows of previous Golden Yachts superyachts such as the  84m (278ft) O'PTASIA  and  95m (311ft) O'PARI .

The launch of motor yacht O’REA comes at a busy time for the shipyard following the launch of 60m (196ft) yacht O’EVA and 36m (118ft) yacht O'NEIRO which hit the water for the first time earlier this year.

Showcasing a sleek exterior designed by Studio Vafiadis, motor yacht O’REA is characterized by her striking bow, streamlined hull and elongated windows which come together to create a powerful exterior profile. 

Designed with relaxation in mind, the yacht has plenty of areas onboard where guests can kick back, unwind and entertain in maximum comfort and style.

Her contemporary interiors were styled by both Studio Vafiadis and the Italian design house Massari Design. Showcasing custom-designed furniture and a strong interconnection between her interior and exterior spaces, the 1,596GT yacht accentuates the feeling of luxury through the use of space and a variety of precious materials. 

Designed with relaxation in mind, the yacht has plenty of areas onboard where guests can kick back, unwind and entertain in maximum comfort and style. Onboard highlights include her expansive swimming pool on the main aft deck, a health bar at the entrance of her lounge area and an abundance of top-quality spa facilities including a sauna, massage room and Hammam. 

Scheduled for delivery in June 2023, superyacht O'REA will be available fo r charter  and is believed to be joining the  Greek charter fleet  for the summer season.

The luxury motor yacht will also be making an appearance at the Monaco Yacht Show 2023 , which will take place in Port Hercule from September 27 - 30.

Yacht arrangement

The particularly spectacular staircase from Lower deck to the bridge deck with the 3D custom made piece of art of full metal effect emphasizes the light to the main central entrance. The owner’s suite is located on the upper deck with totally different decorative schemes. The suite gives a sense of panoramic sea view, with the king-size bed, a walking closet and a luxury jacuzzi.

Further a full width to ship VIP suite is set on the main deck with a king-size bed and his and hers dressing room and marble bath with mosaic details. Main deck salon with decorative walls composed of a background panel in mother of pearl resin with handmade decoration in bronzed liquid metal finishing and the breathtaking chandelier represent without question the luxurious bespoke experience.

The sun deck provides a unique area for gathering and relaxing moments with open bar cozy dedicated cinema projector. On bridge deck there is a generously sized jacuzzi-swimming pool with handcrafted mosaic pool bed.

A central garage on the lower deck allows for an expansive beach club aft, with direct access to the extraordinary swim platform which is more than four meters long. The club itself comprises a steam room, massage room, hammam room, outdoor shower and as well as a bar with decorative vetrite in the background.

First look: Inside Golden Yachts' 36m O'Neiro

Greek shipyard Golden Yachts has provided a first look inside its 36.1-metre superyacht O'Neiro. She was launched in November 2022 and will be delivered later this year.

The GRP hull started life at the Cantieri di Pisa shipyard as an Akhir 118 model before she was inherited by Golden Yachts and completed at its shipyard outside of Athens in Greece. The finished vessel has been designed by in-house architect Dimitra Agapitou who has added a "refined new vision" to the classic lines of its former shipyard's sporty Akhir line.

O'Neiro will go on to charter with Atalanta Golden Yachts .   Her name — meaning "dream" in Greek — ticks plenty of boxes for a charter vessel, with a vast beach set-up and an array of water toys, including inflatables, jet ski and Seabobs. A Williams Jet Tender is on hand is whisk guests ashore. 

Meanwhile on the interior, the large windows and her interior palette create a light-filled atmosphere. The combination of smokey taupe and mellow hues, with sage, pewter and touches of oyster are contrasted by the dark moka wooden floors, natural straw and marbles. 

The open-plan main saloon plays host to a formal dining area, an intimate bar set-up and a generous lounging area for guests to relax.

Much like the interior, modern design extends to the deck arrangements. The yacht is crowned with its spacious flybridge layout boasting varying configurations of lounging areas for outdoor living alongside alfresco dining options. The yacht benefits from further alfresco dining enjoyed aft. 

For entertainment on deck, she hosts state-the-art speakers. 

O’Neiro offers accommodations for 11 guests across six cabins. All cabins feature contemporary aesthetics with adjustable ambience controlled by the Crestron automation audiovisual system touch panels. 

On the lower deck sits the master suite accompanied by two twins and two doubles. There is an additional multi-use cabin with a sofa bed on the main deck. All cabins are en-suite, clad in marble with walk-in rain showers. 

The completion of O'Neiro comes at a busy time for Golden Yachts, with the launch of 66-metre O'Eva completed earlier this month.

Golden Yachts was founded in Greece in 1995, having as its mission the construction of luxurious motor yachts and their distribution in the luxury yacht market. Three years ago, Golden Yachts at last made the move to constructing yachts at their own shipyard facilities, the 52 m three deck M/Y “O’PTASIA,” her sister ship M/Y “O’NEIRO” and the 54m M/Y ”O’RAMA”.

Golden Yachts’ vessels are characterized by innovative technology, obsessive attention to detail, and extravagantly opulent furnishings. Over the 19 years since the company’s inception, Golden Yachts has rebuilt, refitted, and/or constructed eight exceptional vessels. During that time, the company also had the management and chartering duties of all of the vessels, using all their expertise to create incomparable experiences for their clients. Currently, Golden Yachts has two new projects underway, the GY39 and the GY97.
