The 33.48m/109'10" open yacht 'Canvas' (ex. Lionchase) was built by Overmarine in Italy. Her interior is styled by design house Green & Mingarelli Design and she was completed in 2008. This luxury vessel's exterior design is the work of Stefano Righini.

Canvas has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 8 guests in 4 suites comprising one VIP cabin. She is also capable of carrying up to 6 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Range & Performance

Built with a GRP hull and GRP superstructure, with teak decks, she has impressive speed and great efficiency thanks to her planing hull. Powered by twin diesel MTU (12V 4000 M90) 2,775hp engines running at 2100rpm, she comfortably cruises at 28 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 30 knots with a range of up to 240 nautical miles from her 13,500 litre fuel tanks at 28 knots. Her low draft of 1.3m/4'3" makes her primed for accessing shallow areas and cruising close to the shorelines. Canvas features at-anchor stabilizers providing exceptional comfort levels. Her water tanks store around 2,000 Litres of fresh water. She was built to BV (Bureau Veritas) classification society rules, and is MCA Compliant.

Built by Mangusta (part of Overmarine Group) in 2008, 33.5m/110ft open yacht LIONCHASE was designed by Stefano Righini with naval architecture by Andrea Bacigalupo. The accommodation sleeps a maximum of eight guests over four cabins, with an additional Pullman berth suitable for a child.

NOTABLE FEATURES OF LIONCHASE: ~ Glamorous monochrome interior and exterior lounge and dining area  ~ Bow alfresco cinema ~Top speed of 38 knots  ~ Four stately guest cabins to choose from ~ Air conditioning ~ Wi-fi

The swim platform guests can effortlessly access the water using the ladder and after a swim, the group can dry off on the main deck aft with the lavish sun pad/lounge setup and alfresco dining area that can be shaded using sun umbrellas.

On the foredeck, the wide sun pad can be shaded at the top by a fold-down canvas and at night space can be turned into an outdoor cinema with a marquee set up to provide shelter and privacy.

The flybridge above has an additional sun pad, allowing the group to split up and enjoy some solitary peace and quiet.

The lavish interior uses a black and white colour scheme for an ambient environment suited to formal occasions as well as glamorous holiday breaks. Gloss ebony panelling complements the white furnishings, all of which is shown off at its best by the natural light pouring into the salon from the long windows running down both sides.

LIONCHASE Specifications

On the main deck, the salon provides a comfortable environment in which to relax with a film after a long day playing with the water toys. An L-shaped sofa is placed on the port and starboard sides respectively with two coffee tables in the centre. Forward, up to six guests can enjoy a lavish meal together at the glass-topped formal dining table, where the intimate environment is perfect for marking special occasions.

Below deck, the guest accommodation follows the same glamorous scheme as the salon and up to nine guests have a choice of a Master suite with widescreen TV, a VIP stateroom, a double cabin and a twin cabin with a Pullman berth. A pair of MTU diesel engines provides a cruising speed of 32 knots and an impressive top speed of 38 knots.

The accommodation sleeps 8-9 guests over 4 cabins: 1 Master suite, 1 VIP stateroom, 1 double cabin and 1 twin cabin with a Pullman berth, all finished in black lacquer with white furnishings for a glamorous monochrome finish. The expert crew of 6 will take care of everything on board throughout the journey.

LIONCHASE Enquiry

Amanda, we have been meaning to reach out. The boat was incredible, but as we always say it is the crew that makes the trip. It makes a difference to have English speaking crew and they were the best we have had. Captain Gavin was amazing and always so thoughtful. We loved our visits to small harbors - St. Tropez I think was our favorite. The Chef Nick was out of this world. We loved all meals and as a result we put on many pounds! The food was all around perfect!! We also loved Louise, Sophia, and Mike and Mark - they were just all around fun, young and aligned with us. We loved the outings. There were a few excursions that the entire family did not want to do so that is often hard since I think those were scheduled in advance, but they always seemed to accommodate. I think the favorite hike was the last day alongside the sea. The bike along the coast was lovely, just like that hike was too. I think next time we would avoid the bike inland, not really totally worth it but still fun that we did it! The boat worked very well. We would like another space to sit together outdoors next time I think... but truly no complaints, loved how modern it was. Thanks for everything! It really was great, Amanda! CANVAS was built to Bureau Veritas (BV) classification with exterior design by Stefano Righini Design and an extremely high-end interior by Green & Mingarelli. The level of detail exceeds anything seen on previous Mangusta 108s’.

Powered by twin MTU 12V 4000 M90 engines, CANVAS yacht has a top speed of 30 knots and cruises and at 28 knots. She comes with Seakeeper zero-speed stabilisers to always ensure passenger comfort.

On the main deck aft, a daybed and chic lounge leads into the salon, with L-shaped sofas to port and starboard, and a formal dining area forward.

The outdoor space has been well utilised, with a second large daybed on the fore deck where a canopy can be added for privacy or to snuggle down while enjoying the full cinema setup.

Interior Design

With detailed, highly glossed ebony and cream interiors by Green & Mingarelli Design, this luxury superyacht is complemented by sumptuous fabrics and marble bathrooms.

Cristiano Ronaldo Suns Himself aboard Philip Green’s Superyacht Lionchase

Well hello there sailor! Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo was seen in sunny St Tropez this week soaking up the rays on board billionaire British clothing retailer Sir Philip Green ‘s yacht, Lionchase . Accompanying them was Sir Philip himself, wife Tina and their daughter, Chloe.

The Real Madrid footballer was seen on vacation around the time of the Champions League Final, which sadly he was not a part of this year since his team lost in the semi-finals and his arch rival team, Barcelona took home the trophy instead.

He has been consoling himself since his split from model Irina Shayk with a proper lads’ holiday in Saint-Tropez. The boys have been having a wonderful vacation, the highlight so far being spotted indulging in some YMCA dance moves out on deck for all to see!

The beautiful sunny weather has clearly meant that Cristiano has been at liberty to put on some rather muscular displays aboard his party boat and wearing nothing but a rather small pair of swimming shorts… Doesn’t leave much to the imagination…!

The star was also spotted at Saint-Tropez’s exclusive club Le Quai but did manage to got into a spot of trouble and was given a minor warning by police for urinating in the street when he left the club in the early hours. Tut tut!

If anything, the vacay has been showing Russian beauty Irina exactly what she’s been missing. The couple called time on their five-year relationship this year and recently, the beautiful brunette has been linked to Hollywood heart-throb Bradley Cooper. Cristiano however is still a bachelor and very much on the market…

Cristiano Ronaldo dives off Lionchase

The stunning superyacht Lionchase is one of two that Sir Philip Green owns and often lends out to his celebrity friends, including Kate Moss and Leonardo DiCaprio . This one is 110ft (33m) long, was built in 2006 and cost a reported US $50 million. The other one, Lionheart is double the size and is another beautiful vessel to be spotted usually around the French Riviera. Cristiano showed that he is not just a dab hand with a football but he can dance and jet ski too. Is there anything this pretty boy can’t do?

Pearl Yachts delivers first 25m model with private owner's terrace

The first unit in Pearl Yachts ' 25.3-metre series, christened Pearly Spencer , has been delivered following her debut at this year's Cannes Yachting Festival . According to BOATPro , she is now anchored in Port de Portals Nous in Palma, Mallorca.

The Pearl 82 model sits between the shipyard's Pearl 95 and Pearl 72 offerings and features a raised pilothouse design with two aft deck configurations and a semi-walkaround deck with a forward master suite and private forepeak terrace. 

The company claims this model is the only yacht in its class to offer this type of configuration, and Pearl Yachts managing director, Iain Smallridge, called the 82 "the most compact superyacht on the market".

The Pearl 82 builds on the collaboration between the shipyard and Bill Dixon whose studio, Dixon Yacht Design , created the exterior profile and naval architecture. Naturally, the model shares a sporty profile with the rest of the Pearl range with an exterior defined by four bands of dark glass.

Owners are offered the choice between two aft deck arrangements: the "Riviera" configuration with aft-facing sunpads behind the table and a sofa set up, and the "Veranda" layout with pivoting seating that can be used for dining or for observing activities at sea. Fold-down bulwarks at this level expand the aft cockpit, while a tender garage offers storage for a Williams 345 tender – or similar – and a Jet Ski.

All the outdoor areas can be protected by a foredeck Bimini, electric shades and the hard top on the flybridge, which can be set to full shade, adjustable louvres and full sun at the touch of a button. The owner's foredeck lounge is also connected to the flybridge deck and benefits from a full-sized dining table, a bar, a sunpad and a spa pool.

Kelly Hoppen, another long-time Pearl Yachts collaborator, is responsible for the interior which accommodates up to 10 guests with a forward master suite that has access to a private bow terrace through a glass door. The remaining guest accommodation is found on the lower deck, configured as two twins and two doubles.

"We've used beautiful materials, and the joinery and the detailing are absolutely intricate, but the feel of when you are on board is quite open plan, with these wonderfully enlarged windows, which make you feel that you are really out at sea, rather than being enclosed inside of a yacht," said Hoppen.

Other interior highlights include a main saloon with floor-to-ceiling windows which, together with cut-out bulwarks, allow an abundance of natural light to fill the space. Forward is dining for all 10 guests with galley access to port.

Engine room access, galley access and foredeck access are all positioned on the port side of the yacht, ensuring privacy for guests and crew.

"The design revealed in Düsseldorf set the stage for what will be a truly spectacular world premiere at Cannes next September," Smallridge said at the yacht's launch in July 2024 . "This yacht is a testament to our feature-focused philosophy and innovative spirit, and to our dedication to pushing the limits of yacht design and flawless quality."

The Pearl 82 offers owners a choice of three propulsion packages with twin MAN V12 engines ranging from 1,650hp to 2,000hp, with the most powerful engines delivering a top speed of 33 knots.
