Questions about kids on the boat. We are planning 3 nights on boat. Is the pool heated and when are kids able to swim? Do you provide life jackets that fit 3 year old and 5 year old kids? - Pool is 4 seasonal pool with the highest temperature being 38 degrees Celsius. Opening time is from 6.30am to 9.30pm but you need to take care of your kids when they are swimming. 

- Life jackets fit 3 years old and 5 year old kids as well. 

- The kid club includes a slide, ball room, and Vietnamese anime...

- There is no babysit service on the boat so you need to take care of your kids yourself.

- Yes, the kids can join all adult activities such as cave visiting, kayaking...

However, please be advised Grand Pioneers provide itinerary for max 2 nights. If you want to take a 3 night trip, the itinerary will be repeated.

08:15 – 08:45: Pick Up From Hanoi

Be ready at your hotel and our driver with Limousine of  Grand Pioneers (  Old Name Essence Grand Superyacht)will come to pick you up at your hotel lobby (If you book the cruise together with transfer). It takes about 3 hours for a transfer from Hanoi to Halong City. We will have about 20 minutes for break on the half way and you can go to rest room or have a drink.

Note: If you have private car/van please be ready at Sun Harbour at 11.30- 11.45 AM

11:30 – 12:00: Welcome 

You will arrive at Sun Harbour at Halong City and Halong Essence Grand Superyacht staffs will welcome you at the waiting lounge.

12:00 – 12:30: Embark – Cruise briefing – Check-in Essence Grand Superyacht 

Get on tender and we will take a transfer to one of the most luxury cruises in Halong Bay - Essence Grand Superyacht Halong Bay. Enjoy the welcome drink in Cloud Nine restaurant

While cruise manager will have a briefing about the cruise itinerary and the cruise safety when you stay overnight on cruise. After that, you will check in your luxury suite.

13:00: Lunch on Cloud Nine restaurant

After check in, we will enjoy lunch at Cloud Nine restaurant while we sail from Halong Bay to Luon Cave

14:30 – 15:00: Luon Cave – Kayaking or Bamboo Boat Ride  

Grand Pioneers  will take you to Luon Cave , which is possesses wonderful natural scenery and has a relatively diverse and abundant flora ecosystem, the cliffs are covered with green trees, there is also the habitat of conserved monkeys.

We will have sometimes here to explore Luon Cave by kayaking or take a bamboo boat ride or you can do swimming in the clear blue water

15:30 – 16:30: Titop Island – Climbing or Swimming 

Our next stop is Titop Island which is named after Soviet cosmonaut German Titop. Titop Island is the only island with the largest and most beautiful beach. Seen from above, the beach looks like a full moon embracing the island's foot. This is a very beautiful gentle beach, especially extremely clean because the high tide washes away dirt, the sand here is perfectly pure white, the sea water is clear in all four seasons.

Or if you are a fan of hiking, then you can climb 400 of extremely craggy stone steps to reach the top of Titop. However, the gift for you will not be small as the panoramic view of Ha Long Bay will catch your eye right when you are in the middle of your spectacular hiking journey. 

14:30 – 17:30: Chilling on Essence Grand Superyacht

If you prefer to stay on  Grand Pioneers,  you can chill in your comfy suite or enroll these activities and services like La Spa (spa and massage), swimming pool, pool bar, cigar club, poker, 3D golf simulator, billiards and table soccer, library, and for children there is a kid’s club 

17:30: Sunset & Happy Hour time

Return to  Grand Pioneers Cruise  , we will relax at Lighthouse sky bar, enjoying the music and the drink while watching sunset

19:00: Dinner at Cloud Nine Restaurant

You will be served dinner with a variety of dishes from Western to Asian. After that, you will experience the life of the local people with squid fishing; or chilling in your suite; maybe treating yourself with La Spa; or enrolling group activities like poker club, cigar club, karaoke club.

07:30 – 08:15: Discover Sung Sot Cave

Our speed boat will transport you to Sung Sot Cave –the largest and most beautiful cave in Ha Long Bay and this is also the place where many rocky islands with unique shapes are found nowhere else. The way to Sung Sot cave is hidden under the forest, the stone steps are craggy, visitors have both the pleasure of climbing and the excitement as if they are going to the sky.

09:00: Check-Out

After visiting Sung Sot Cave, we return to our beautiful Essence Grand Superyacht cruise to relax and prepare to check-out.

09:30: Brunch at Cloud Nine Restaurant

Your delicious brunch will be served as our cruise returns to Sun Harbour .

11:00: Disembark Essence Grand Superyacht Halong

After saying goodbye to Essence Grand Superyacht’s crew, we will go back to Sun Harbour by tender boat.

11:30: Return to Hanoi

Limousine van and driver will be waiting for you and take you back to Hanoi.

If you do not stay in Hanoi Old Quarter then we can pick you up at Hanoi Opera House. So please be ready at Hanoi Opera House at 08.30 AM. 

It takes about 3 hours from Hanoi to Halong Bay including about 20 minutes for break time.

We will move to Luon Cave where you can do kayaking or enjoy the free time on a sampan boat rowed by local. You may sometimes see monkeys going down there when you do kayaking. Incredible karst will be closed to your eyes.

15:30 – 16:30: Titop island – Climbing or Swimming 

After visiting Luon Cave with kayak or sampan boat we will move to Titop Island where you can do hiking 400 steps for panorama view of whole Halong Bay with the hight of 100 meters . That is the best place in Halong Bay to have the best majestic view for Halong Bay. Titop Island has beautiful moon-shaped beach and tranquil blue waters. So if you don’t wish to do hiking then you can do swimming in the beautiful beach.

08:00: Cruising to Bai Tu Long Bay

After breakfast, we will move from Essence Superyacht to a day boat or cruising to Bai Tu Long Bay. We will move to Thien Canh Son Cave in Bai Tu Long Bay . Thien Canh Son in English means “Heaven Scenery Mountain”. 

Our transfer boat will pick you up from Essence Superyacht for a morning cruise to Thien Canh Son Cave in Bai Tu Long Bay .

10:30 Excursion to Thien Canh Son Cave

We will visit Thien Canh Son Cav e, walking inside the limestone cave and discover the cave and the view of Bai Tu Long Bay. 

After visiting the cave we will enjoy time swimming or relaxing on a nice and white sandy beach in Bai Tu Long, do kayaking around Cong Do Island in Bai Tu Long Bay. Bai Tu Long Bay is a peaceful bay of Halong Bay and it is less touched area.

12:30 Lunch Time

Come back to our cruise and enjoy our lunch while cruising the Vung Ha area .

13:45: Visit Vung Vieng Fshing Village

14:45 – 16:15: Cruise Back

After breakfast, we will transfer to a speedboat for moving to Sung Sot Cave (Amazing Cave) . Sung Sot Cave is one of the biggest and most beautiful cave in Halong Bay. You will know why it has the name of Amazing Cave.

The trip with Essence Grand was faultless. The vessel is new and modern. We love our cabin with a lovely balcony and super clean bathroom. The scenery of Halong Bay was unbeatable. You should notice that the excursions will be crowded but we were satisfied with the view. The food onboard was great and lots of it. The staff was caring and always made sure we felt comfortable. Can't recommend it enough.

A variety of activities and a nice balance with break time to experience onboard facilities. The accommodation was spacious and comfortable. Excellent meals with lots of options. Brunch was not as good as lunch and dinner but the food was overall good.

The trip was well organized from start to finish. The room was the same as the picture and the view from the balcony was fantastic. The staff was hospitable and helpful. A shout out to Mr. K and Christina for excellent service. Would recommend Essence Grand to our friends!  

We had a nice time. Halong Bay is crowded but engaging. The trip to Surprise Cave was incredible. Kayaking on the bay (through the cave) was a must-try. The food was amazing and plentiful. The staff was superb. Thank you very much!

My family booked the cruise for 2 nights. Essence Cruise was top-notch. The interiors are new and super clean. All the modern facilities made our trip more enjoyable. The staff was young and attentive. The guide Mr. K went out of his way to accommodate our needs. The bay was captivating with beautiful spots. The activities on day 2 were one of the highlights. There were fewer boats and the beach was amazing. The cons is the quality of the boat on day 2. It was old and did not match the quality of Essence Grand vessel.  

Such a trip of a lifetime. Essence Grand is the biggest and newest cruise in Halong Bay. The facilities are premium. Our Veranda Suite is spotless and comfortable. Highly recommended!  

Everything was great. The pick up and check in on board were smooth. The ship itself was brand new, huge, and first-class. The lunch and dinner were exceptional. The heated pool was a plus. The staff was friendly and helpful!

Can you provide more information on the itinerary for 3 day/2night cruise and the price for transfer to/from Hanoi?

@Jason C, For the 3 day 2 night program, you will join more excursions. On Day 1, you explore Sung Sot cave. On Day 2, you will get on a smaller boat in the morning to join excursions in the quieter area. There, you will kayak at Dark-Bright Cave area, swim at Ba Trai Dao Beach, and visit a pearl far. You return to the main vessel in the afternoon. On Day 3, you will visit Luon Cave by sampan boat.

The best thing that sets Grand Pioneers apart from other places is the staff. I've been on a lot of cruises but the staff here are the best. They were very friendly and took great care of our kids. The itinerary was perfectly organized and scheduled. When we went on the trip, the pearl farm was closed but they took us to Titop Island instead. Our favorite staff member was Yang, who attended to our every need.

Morning 08:15 – 08:45 Viet Vision Travel’s driver will pick you up from your hotel in Hanoi. The journey time to Halong Bay takes approximately 2.5 hours 09:50 A short break on route for refreshments (about 20 minutes) 11:30 – 11:45 Arrive at the Halong International harbor (Sun Harbor) – Halong City. You will be warmly welcomed at our Essence Grand Superyacht Cruise waiting lounge by our staff

Afternoon 12:00 – 12:15 Once on board our Essence Grand Superyacht Cruise, enjoy a welcome drink in restaurant during the cruise briefing. Check-in to your luxury spacious suite 13:00 Lunch will be served in the restaurant while our Essence Grand Superyacht Cruise cruises among thousands of islands and islets of stunning Halong Bay 14:30 – 15:15 Visit Tung Sau , an ideal area for kayaking. This is one of the must-do activities in the bay. A chance to see the incredible karst formations of the bay close-up 15:30 – 16:30 Your next stop is Titop Island with its famous crescent moon-shaped beach and tranquil beautiful blue waters. Viewing Halong Bay from the peak of Titop Island is another not-to-be missed activity. Pencil Skirts And Expensive-Looking Blazers Are The Core Of Industry’s Costume Design This Season

The art of power dressing is tough to spot if you’re looking for significant details that are on the nose. For decades in America, well-tailored suits were the pinnacle of what it means to hold power in a workplace. In England, your attire is linked to your class level–but suits don’t fit in culturally with how we view money in America–wealthy individuals are at times seen in uninspiring attire similar to the tech CEOs who are based in Silicon Valley. However, boring pieces, stylish high-end selections, or flashy clothing can be linked to wealth in America. In Max’s series Industry at Pierpoint & Co, a fictional banking company, suits are worn but so are pencil skirts, luxe trench coats, and boring blouses that are acknowledged as power pieces. This season feels like a bit of a departure for the lead women characters, Harper Stern, played by Myha’la , and Yasmin Yazdani (Marisa Abela). In past seasons, Harper struggled a bit with her personal style while climbing her former job’s power structure. Separately, Yasmin regularly wore items that signified her wealth: power skirts, chic jackets, extra-large, expensive-looking work bags, and pussy bow blouses that were well put together. She regularly exuded confidence at a high level, too. These gatherings make this season’s costume design enjoyable–there appears to be a tide change for both characters.

Formerly a high-powered trader, Harper regularly wore deep-hued blazers and tops with a structure that spoke to the role she spent countless hours proving herself in at Pierpoint. These pieces also alluded to the power she was hoping to gain access to at Pierpoint. But, now, she’s been banished from the world she once knew, and that’s reflected in her clothing. “Harper is an interesting character in that she reads the weather very well around her, then can anticipate how it might change,” this season’s costume designer Laura Smith tells The Cut . This means that Harper embraces whichever environment she’s in and assimilates into it as a move to end up on top or with the most power. “It felt like the way to start Harper’s look trajectory this season was to embrace business casual and play into the idea of a young woman gaining entrance to a whole different side of the city,” Smith adds since Harper has moved to another part of London, Tottenham.

Currently, Myha’la is wearing clothing that could be described as downright meek. In one scene this season, she dons a cream knit vest and white blouse, which both don’t feel very Harper. But, it’s spot-on for how she has to navigate her new role at the ESG investment firm Future Dawn which solely employs women–she’s an executive assistant to the firm’s female CEO. The tones she wears are unthreatening, too, they’re warm and muted, browns and whites.

In past seasons, former costume designer for the series Colleen Morris dressed Harper in brands like Theory, which felt like new money–not too flashy but also not overbearing. This departure rings loudly this season. One tan coat of the past sticks out in my memory; it was the pinnacle of classy, but it was also nearly a copy of a coat that Yasmin had previously worn. Since Harper has fallen from grace after being fired by her former boss, Eric Tao, she is navigating creating an identity for herself. By proxy, she is on a journey of self-discovery when it comes to her clothing choices. In one scene, she dons an Eres bikini and a lengthy robe while she’s with Yasmin on a yacht vacationing. This notes that Harper is always dressed for whichever occasion she steps into.

Separately, Yasmin, a moneyed publishing heiress who currently works at the trading desk at Pierpoint, is having a downward turn concerning her clothing choices. This season, her costuming when she’s in the office is still deemed posh and professional. In-office, she dons suits, skirts that hug her curves, and gorgeous blouses–despite this, there are moments when she doesn’t appear as polished and glossy as she has in past seasons. Her out-of-office attire leans into hoodies and baseball caps that won’t get her noticed by the eager paparazzi following her after her father’s disappearance. 

Additionally, this season she is struggling with anxiety while dealing with her father’s financial issues and potential embezzlement charges. As a result, her color palette this season consists of muted tones instead of energetic ones. Deep navy and black are the colors she has been leaning on in recent episodes.

Yasmin being on the trading floor is also a change for her. It’s nerve-rattling and a bit anxiety-inducing for her. So it is clear that she has to be her most confident version of herself, so she shows up still dressed in suiting separates. A baseball cap might always be within her reach, but so is an elegant overcoat she can throw on as she steps in and out of the Pierpoint offices. 

Overall, the differences in costume design this season can be attributed to the shifts in both Yasmin and Harper’s lives. While both women outwardly aim to showcase that they have it all together, there are tiny moments when you can see aesthetically that they do not. This is compelling and perhaps one of the more human details of Industry . For Yasmin, this looks like showing up to work one day in the same outfit she wore a day prior. And for Harper, this means stepping away from the new money attire of her past; it is being shed for a quieter disposition and wardrobe. In total, their latest attire highlights their omnipresent search for stability and acquiring wealth plus status on their own terms.
