There's a new boat set to sail along the Thames this year. But this isn't going to be another one that you can just tap your oyster card to get on or sit and sip a simple pint on.

Instead, it's a sparkling 'superyacht' worth a whopping £25 million. Expected to arrive in London this August, the Dutch-built vessel is set to nab the title of London's largest floating company.

Titled Oceandiva London , it will have space for up to a huge 1,500 standing guests, or 600 seated, to attend all kinds of events including product launches, dinners, receptions and more. Guests will be able to hop on at various London locations, it is set for an official launch in autumn 2022.

At 86-metres long, the three-deck ship is claimed as a CO₂-neutral venue that will be powered by lithium battery packs backed up by mounted solar panels.

When Oceandiva London arrives in the capital, it will find its home moored at the Royal Docks. Then, dependent on the event, you'll be able to get onto the ship at Canary Wharf, Excel, Greenwich, London Bridge or Tower Bridge.

The Dutch-founded company, named Oceandiva, already have ships in Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands and this one is set to be stunning.

The designs of how the London ship will look show a matte grey, long vessel, with lots of open outdoor space and a proud Union Jack flag waving from the upper deck.

Oceandiva's website describes the exciting new arrival: "Spanning across three decks, this unique blank canvas venue provides clients the ability to host sensational events on the river, whether static or sailing, in the heart of the City."

Unsurprisingly, it won't be a particularly cheap place to to throw a party. The Evening Standard reported that the events company Smart Group has already started taking bookings with hire rates starting at a whopping basic of £27,000 a night.

For catering, Oceandiva will use their long-term partner Moving Venue. They have " unparalleled experience delivering bespoke, seasonal menus at expertly designed events".

Totally versatile, you'll be able to host anything from weddings to film premieres, conferences to fashion shows or exhibitions to award cermonies on board the ship. But you'll just have to splash out to make a splash in the Thames.

Hotel Rooms

Hotel review.

Moored in the trendy Royal Victoria Dock, Sunborn might look like a decommissioned cruise ship, but in fact it was purpose built as a hotel and has never sailed at all. Step inside though, and you’d think you were about to drift off across the oceans to other lands. Wood panelling and the swish spiralling grand staircase with chandelier, evoke feelings of luxury travel and lead you into the Lands End Restaurant where attentive servers bring out slow roasted rump of lamb and lobster tagliatelle. Enjoy twists on classic cocktails, like the Cherry Martini, in the Sundown Bar and take in the nightscapes out on the terrace. Then retire to your spacious cabin complete with balcony overlooking the river.

"Not your usual hotel: Sunborn London is, in fact, a 420ft yacht moored in the Royal Victoria docks, a symphony in white and charcoal which could easily have been left behind by a departing oligarch. It's well-placed for the O2 arena, London City airport and the ExCel centre."

Large superyachts visiting London, England on the river Thames are an exciting spectacle, but also a fantastic base to access events and the central parts of the city, making London a very interesting yacht charter prospect. There are also luxury yacht marinas and berths available with more currently being developed.

On such marina is the historic St Katharine Docks in central London which has berthage for 200 luxury yachts and historic barges. A haven of tranquillity and nestled in the heart of the City of London, St Katharine’s is directly adjacent to the iconic Tower Bridge and next to the Tower of London. The marina is home to visiting and local superyachts and also provides space for private and corporate events amongst the associated commercial buildings.

St Katharine Docks has a thousand years of dramatic history to its name, making it one of the most interesting marina histories in the world.  King Edgar originally gifted 13 acres of land to 13 knights in 1125for trade. St Katharine’s docks have been used ever since throughout the ages for one purpose or another and then in 1825 construction began on the docks, laying down the framework for what you see today.

When visiting the UK with London on the itinerary, yachts also dock in the city of Southampton in south-west England. Many vessels drop anchor at Ocean Village Marina or Hamble Point Marina. Expect a coach or train journey time of around 1 hour 20 minutes from Southampton into South London.

London, the UK’s exciting capital city attracts visitors from around the world. Go shopping in Oxford Street, Regent Street as well as famous department stores like Harrods, Harvey Nichols or Selfridges. How about a night out at the theatre? Watch a play, musical, drama or ballet at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, the London Palladium or the Old Vic. There are many places to visit in London. It’s such a diverse city with some of the world’s best sights, attractions and activities.

See the city from above on the London Eye, meet a celeb at Madame Tussaud’s or examine the treasures at the British Museum. Sightseeing couldn’t be better. Check out the underwater creatures at Sea Life London or marvel at the strange objects in the Science Museum. There really is something for everyone in London and plenty to do to make up a luxury yacht charter itinerary.

London's first superyacht hotel has sailed up the River Thames to take her place in the capital's Royal Victoria docks.

The exclusive 120 metre vessel made her way from Holland across the Channel and into London ahead of her grand opening on April 9.

The unusual new hotel will open with 130 rooms and suites spread over five decks, but guests won't be travelling too far as the boat will stay moored in East London.

Before being unveiled as a luxury hotel, the final touches will be made to the slick black and white superyacht over the coming days.

4 bodies found inside the Bayesian, Mike Lynch family yacht, amid search

Four bodies were recovered inside the Bayesian superyacht on Wednesday, more than two days after it sank off the coast of Italy , setting off an exhaustive search for six missing people, including British tech entrepreneur Mike Lynch .

Two of the bodies discovered earlier on Wednesday were brought to shore. One body recovered was a heavily built man, Reuters reported.

Six of the ship's 22 passengers, including Lynch and his 18-year-old daughter, went missing after the yacht plunged under the water just before 5 a.m. on Monday as a storm swept across the area. Americans are among the missing, officials have said.

The U.K.-registered yacht belonged to Lynch's wife, Angela Bacares, who was also on board and was rescued. The tech tycoon was recently acquitted on fraud charges after a year under house arrest.

Ricardo Thomas, the ship's cook, was found dead on Monday, according to the coast guard.

The rescue mission saw a diving team, helicopters and multiple coast guard ships deployed to search the water. Fifteen people were pulled from the water on Monday, and eight were hospitalized in stable condition.

A 'black swan event'? Experts puzzle over why Bayesian yacht sank

An investigation opened by local prosecutors into the cause of the disaster is ongoing. Experts have pointed to a water spout, a tornado over the water that can travel up to 120 mph, that formed during the storm, as well as the heavy weight of ship's mast, one of the largest in the world.

The 184-feet-long ship was made by Italian ship manufacturer Perini in 2008.

Lynch set off on the cruise late last month to celebrate his acquittal on fraud charges in the U.S. that marked a decade of legal challenges, the Associated Press reported .

One of his lawyers and a character witness for Lynch during the trial were also on board and vanished when the boat went down. Authorities have not yet disclosed the identities of the four people found.

Here are the passengers who were declared missing.

Mike Lynch and Hannah Lynch

Mike Lynch, 59, is co-founder of Britain’s largest enterprise software, Autonomy, which was sold to Hewlett-Packard in 2011, and founder of venture capital fund Invoke Capital.

Sometimes known as “Britain’s Bill Gates,” Lynch was slapped with charges after HP said it had uncovered deceit and a major accounting scandal within the firm. He spent a year on house arrest after being extradited from the UK.

In early June, at the end of a 12-week trial, a San Francisco jury acquitted Lynch of wire fraud and conspiracy to commit wire fraud. He was also cleared on a charge of securities fraud later that month.

Lynch and Bacares have two daughters and six dogs, all named after engineering parts, according to the U.K.’s Sunday Times in a profile of Lynch from last month.

Lynch’s 18-year-old daughter, Hannah, was also among the missing. She was preparing to study English literature at Oxford University, according to the Sunday Times.

Hannah is the younger of Mike Lynch’s two daughters, the Times reported . Mike Lynch told the outlet that his daughters had grown up with their father being publicly accused of fraud.

Jonathan Bloomer and Judy Bloomer

Jonathan Bloomer is the non-executive chairman of both Morgan Stanley International and the insurer Hiscox, among other companies. Bloomer acted as a character witness on Lynch’s behalf during his fraud trial.

Hiscox Chief Executive Aki Hussain told Reuters in a statement that the firm was deeply shocked and saddened and their thoughts were with all those affected.

Bloomer’s twin brother, Jeremy, told BBC that he is processing the news and the family is waiting to hear updates.

“He was my elder by half an hour, so, it means a lot when you lose a twin brother,” Jeremy Bloomer told BBC. “We’ll still wait and see, so it’s fingers crossed.”

Jonathan Bloomer’s wife, Judy, is a psychotherapist of nearly three decades and former teacher. She specializes in anxiety and stress. She studied English language and literature at Homerton College in Cambridge.

Christopher Morvillo and Neda Morvillo

A lawyer with Clifford Chance, Chris Morvillo was among the team that represented Mike Lynch during his trial. Morvillo is an American citizen.

He was an assistant U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York from 1999 to 2005, and he worked on the criminal investigation stemming from the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

Morvillo was a graduate of Fordham University School of Law and Villanova University.

Neda Morvillo, his wife, owns a hand-crafted jewelry company under her maiden name, Neda Nassiri. The company’s website said she has been designing and making jewelry for over 20 years.

In a post on LinkedIn after the conclusion of Lynch’s trial, Chris Morvillo acknowledged his family for their support during the case.

“And, finally, a huge thank you to my patient and incredible wife, Neda Morvillo, and my two strong, brilliant, and beautiful daughters, Sabrina Morvillo and Sophia Morvillo.  None of this would have been possible without your love and support. I am so glad to be home.

And they all lived happily ever after…."

Superyacht sinks latest: Fifth body found in search today - six people now confirmed dead

Five bodies have been found in the search for several people missing after a yacht sank off the Sicily coast, bringing the total number of dead to six. Search efforts are in their third day, after the captain was reportedly questioned by Italian prosecutors over the sinking.

We're pausing our coverage for tonight but here is a recap of what we know:

  • Five bodies have been found in the wreckage of the sunken Bayesian;
  • Four of the bodies have been retrieved and recovered to shore. Efforts to recover the fifth will resume tomorrow;
  • One person is still unaccounted for;
  • Divers employed the use of an upgraded remote-controlled underwater vehicle to help with the search;
  • Emergency service staff and others involved in the search and rescue operations formed a "guard of honour" as bodies were brought ashore;
  • The UK's Marine Accident Investigation Branch (MAIB) confirmed it is investigating the sinking;
  • The Bayesian's captain, James Cutfield, was questioned for more than two hours by Italian prosecutors;
  • An investigation might result in changes to how masts are constructed, according to a professor of transport law;
  • Two crew members who survived the disaster reportedly said it is a "miracle" they are still alive;
  • Another crew member who survived the disaster was confirmed as Dutch national Tjis Koopmans.

It's been a busy day for search and rescue teams as they continued their quest to find people unaccounted for from the Bayesian's sinking.

Divers found five bodies, leaving just one person still unaccounted for when the search resumes tomorrow.

Below, we have a look at some images of the day as it unfolded:

Karsten Borner, the captain of a boat that came to the Bayesian's aide, has described the moment he came across the life raft containing survivors.

The 69-year-old told Sky News he had been busy trying to secure his own vessel when the violent storm hit when he noticed the Bayesian had disappeared behind him.

"We saw a flickering light and it turned out to be the life raft, a 12-person life raft with 15 people inside including one baby," he said.

The people "stepped on" to his vessel, where he "took care of them".

He added: "We gave them dry clothes, towels, blankets, tea and coffee and so on.

"I was busy talking to the coastguard to get them an ambulance and to send a message to search and rescue."

Those involved in the search and rescue operation looking for bodies should receive mental health support, an expert has told Sky News.

Divers have been working tirelessly since Monday morning to find the passengers unaccounted for following the sinking of the Bayesian.

Since then, six bodies have been found, with one person still missing.

"There's been a lot of focus on the physical risks involved with diving for the vessel," says Matthew Schanck, chair of the Maritime Search and Rescue Council.

"We've talked about debris and we've talked about the complex layout, but the lasting impacts on everybody involved is going to be on the mental health and we hope that the support is going to be there.

"And I'm sure it will be for the emergency responders and also for the people who have survived and what is obviously been a very, very traumatic experience."

Searches have finished for the day and will resume tomorrow, the head of Sicily's civil protection agency has told the PA news agency.

Salvatore Cocina confirmed earlier that five bodies have been found today, but only four recovered.

One person remains missing.

A shipbuilding expert has said the Bayesian superyacht which sunk on Monday is among the "safest" available.

Giovanni Costantino is the chief executive of The Italian Sea Group, which now owns the firm that previously built the yacht.

He told Sky News this week's disaster off the coast of Sicily has put him "in a state of sadness on the one hand and of disbelief on the other".

He said: "Being the manufacturer of Perini [boats] I know very well how the boats have always been designed and built."

"The sailing ships, it is well known, are the safest in the most absolute sense," Mr Constantino added.

"First of all, because they have very little surface compared to a yacht facing the wind. Second, with the structure, the drift keel... they become unsinkable bodies."

The Bayesian sunk in the early hours of Monday morning off Palermo following a violent storm.

Investigators looking into the sinking of the Bayesian must work through evidence "methodically and meticulously", says the managing director of a maritime consulting group.

The UK's Marine Accident Investigation Branch (MAIB) has already confirmed it is investigating the incident.

James Wilkes, a maritime investigator, told Sky News the investigation into the deaths of passengers will take time.

"The key thing for the investigators is to work methodically and meticulously through the evidence that they are able to get and make sure they're not missing something or not over interpreting something," he said.

Five bodies have been found today, bringing the number of confirmed deaths to six.

"They'll want to expedite it because if bodies are being recovered of British nationals, then it is very likely that an inquest will be opened into their deaths in the UK," added Mr Wilkes.

"There is no benefit to anybody rushing it. We need to arrive at the right conclusions with as little supposition and ambiguity as possible so that we actually make yachts safer in the future and actually understand what happened in detail."

Search and rescue teams have been working hard since Monday morning to find those unaccounted after the sinking of the Bayesian.

Specialists divers and experts have been called in, with coastguard helicopters and underwater remotely operated vehicles deployed to help.

Sky News correspondent Laura Bundock has been taking a closer look at the how the recovery operation unfolded...

A fifth body has been found today in the search for survivors of the sunken superyacht

The head of Sicily's civil protection agency Salvatore Cocina said four bodies have been recovered and that efforts to bring a fifth to shore are "ongoing".

It brings the number of confirmed deaths to six, after the body of the yacht's on-board chef was recovered shortly after the incident on Monday.

The crowd on the harbourside has been growing since lunchtime.

News that cave divers from Naples and Rome had joined the search came with more attention and interest.

The search had entered its third day, and conservations were turning to fear about a lack of oxygen for those on board the sunken yacht.

Radios were heard crackling across the water where a makeshift temporary search and rescue "centre" has been constructed.

The white coastguard vessel and the search and rescue cream and red boat were coming in from the search site.

As they docked, two divers dressed in orange wetsuits on the back of the boat lifted the first body bag.

The sight causing the crowd opposite to fall silent. The poignancy of the sombre moment bringing some watching on to tears.

Some looked away, whilst others filmed on their phones.

The moment many had feared was unfolding before their eyes as the rescue mission only minutes ago quickly turned to recovery.

The crowd watched on as another body was brought ashore too.

A spontaneous guard of honour seemed to form as each body was brought to the harbourside - police officers, firefighters and search and rescue officials side by side, some with bowed heads - a moment of silence and respect.

After hours of searching, this operation is coming to a close.

64m explorer yacht Scout in London

64m Hakvoort explorer yacht Scout spotted in London

The 63.7-metre Hakvoort explorer yacht Scout has been spotted cruising along the River Thames in London following an extensive coastal tour of Scotland, Ireland and southern England.

The vessel arrived in British waters in late May with multiple stop-offs along Dublin, Belfast and the Hebrides before eventually making its way to Tower Bridge over the weekend.

According to BOATPro AIS data, Scout has scarcely had a moment to rest since emerging from a light refit at MB92's Barcelona facility in December 2022, where she promptly set off across the Atlantic to finish the winter season in the Caribbean. After a brief stint in West Palm Beach to provision, Scout embarked on her second transatlantic crossing within the span of six months for another fourteen consecutive days at sea.

Made of steel and aluminium, Scout was delivered in 2019 as the flagship vessel from the 100-year-old Hakvoort yard. She was designed inside and out by H2 Yacht Design with naval architecture completed by  Diana Yacht Design .

The explorer vessel was built for an experienced owner, whose brief included several cinematic references to classic films such as 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea (1954) and Metropolis (1927). There is even an LCD monitor "skylight" in the main saloon that can be programmed with hundreds of images, taking inspiration from the underwater lair seen in the 1977 Bond movie The Spy Who Loved Me .

According to the yard, the resulting yacht was meant to look like a conversion from a commercial vessel with a "strong vintage maritime aesthetic" that is "authentic to the owner's vision".

Other showstoppers onboard include a futuristic wheelhouse with a floating console, a mechanically unfolding bar in the observation lounge and even a bridge deck greenhouse. Meanwhile, five staterooms comfortably house a party of eight guests for long periods at sea, comprising four cabins on the main deck with a dedicated owner's deck above.

A true explorer, Scout also features a high Ice Class bow, a helideck and a hefty 4,800-nautical-mile range.

Scout is the latest in a string of high-profile superyachts to visit the capital city , such as the 110-metre Kaos this past May.

There's Something Unbelievably Strange About That Billionaire Yacht Sinking

This is stranger than fiction..

As billionaire Mike Lynch's yacht sinking made headlines, the missing tycoon's recent fraud trial co-defendant died in a UK hospital after being hit by a car.

As the  BBC reports , the former vice president of finance at Lynch's enterprise software firm Autonomy Stephen Chamberlain was declared dead on Monday after a car hit him when he was out on a run in Cambridgeshire, the county where England's tony Cambridge University is located.

Earlier that very day, a yacht said to be owned by Lynch's wife Angela Bacares called the Bayesian sank off the coast of Sicily after being struck by a water-bound tornado. As Business Insider reports , the Autonomy founder, his 18-year-old daughter, his fraud trial attorney Christopher Morvillo, and the lawyer's wife are now all missing and feared dead following the crash.

Bacares and several other people were rescued by a nearby vessel that, as ABC noted , did not suffer the same fate in the storm.

As Italian civil protection lead Salvo Cocina said during a media conference quoted by ABC , the Bayesian was "in the wrong place at the wrong time" — an apt analysis that seems to have applied to Chamberlain as well.

Twisted Fate

As the BBC and other outlets reported in the wake of his untimely death note, Chamberlain had along with Lynch been accused of 11 counts of fraud related to the sale of Autonomy to Hewlett Packard in 2011. Earlier this summer, the pair were acquitted on all those charges — only for tragedy to strike just a few months later.

Before either man met their more recent doom, they'd been considered incredibly lucky, as the Daily Beast reports , to have been acquitted at all.

Months prior to their own fraud trial, Lynch's right-hand man, ex-Autonomy chief financial officer Sushovan Hussain, was convicted of similar charges and ended up being sanctioned in the United Kingdom . Until their acquittal, the still-missing billionaire was sure that if he met the same fate as Hussain, he'd end up dying in prison.

"I have various medical things that would have made it very difficult to survive," Lynch told The Guardian last month, following the acquittal. "If this had gone the wrong way, it would have been the end of life as I have known it in any sense."

With Lynch and his 18-year-old daughter now among the missing in the Bayesian sinking and Chamberlain dead, their acquittal earlier this summer has taken on a darker tone.

"In the course of 48 hours, I can’t process what has happened," explained Lynch's other attorney, Gary Lindberg, in an interview with BI , "but both of our clients, as well as Chris and his wife, are gone."

Video shows moments before superyacht went down in storm off Sicily

Newly released video captures a luxury superyacht being battered by a violent storm before it suddenly sank off Sicily with 22 people aboard Monday.

The grainy images obtained by NBC News and other outlets were recorded on closed-circuit television not far from where the Bayesian was anchored, about a half-mile from the port of Porticello, on Sicily’s northern coast .

The yacht's 250-foot mast, illuminated with lights and lashed by the storm, appears to bend to one side before it finally disappears and is replaced by darkness.

The speed with which a yacht built to handle the roughest seas capsized stunned maritime experts.

“I can’t remember the last time I read about a vessel going down quickly like that, you know, completely capsizing and going down that quickly, a vessel of that nature, a yacht of that size,” said Stephen Richter of SAR Marine Consulting.

British tech tycoon Mike Lynch and five of the 22 other people who were aboard the 184-foot vessel remain unaccounted for and are believed to be trapped in the Bayesian’s hull, nearly 170 feet underwater.

Officials confirmed Monday that at least one person, the ship’s cook, had died.

UK's vessel Bayesian

Superyachts like the Bayesian, which had been available for charters at a rate of $215,000 a week, are designed to stay afloat even as they are taking on water to give the people aboard a chance to escape, Richter said.

“Boats of this size, they’re taking passengers on an excursion or a holiday,” Richter said. “They are not going to put them in situations where it may be dangerous or it may be uncomfortable, so this storm that popped up was obviously an anomaly. These vessels that carry passengers, they’re typically very well-maintained, very well-appointed.”

Built by Italian shipbuilder Perini Navi in 2008, the U.K.-registered Bayesian could carry 12 guests and a crew of up to 10, according to online specialist yacht sites. Its nearly 250-foot mast is the tallest aluminum sailing mast in the world, according to CharterWorld Luxury Yacht Charters.

On Tuesday, Italian rescue workers resumed the search for Lynch and the five other passengers still missing: Lynch’s 18-year-old daughter, Hannah; Morgan Stanley International Chairman Jonathan Bloomer and his wife; and Clifford Chance lawyer Chris Morvillo and his wife.

“The fear is that the bodies got trapped inside the vessel,” Salvatore Cocina, the head of civil protection in Sicily, told Reuters .

The Bayesian is owned by a firm linked to Lynch’s wife, Angela Bacares, who was one of the 15 people rescued Monday after it capsized.

Divers of the Vigili del Fuoco, the Italian Corps. of Firefighters, near Palermo

“It’s extremely rare for a boat of this size to sink,” Richter said.

What’s not rare is the kind of storm that sank it , said Simon Boxall, senior lecturer in oceanography at Britain’s University of Southampton.

“People assume the Mediterranean is this rather calm and passive place that never gets storms and always blue skies,” Boxall said. “In fact, you get some quite horrendous storms that are not uncommon at this time of year.”

The president of Italy’s meteorological society has said Monday’s violent storm may have involved a waterspout, essentially a tornado over water, or a downburst, which occurs more frequently but doesn’t involve the rotation of the air.

Luca Mercalli, president of the Italian Meteorology Society, also said recent temperatures may have been a factor.

“The sea surface temperature around Sicily was around 30 degrees Celsius [86 Fahrenheit], which is almost 3 degrees more than normal,” Mercalli told Reuters. “This creates an enormous source of energy that contributes to these storms.”

The Mediterranean sailing vacation was designed to be a celebration for Lynch, who two months ago was acquitted by a San Francisco jury of fraud charges stemming from the 2011 sale of his software company Autonomy to Hewlett-Packard for $11 billion.

Prosecutors alleged that Lynch, dubbed “Britain’s Bill Gates,” and Autonomy’s vice president for finance, Stephen Chamberlain, had padded the firm’s finances ahead of the sale. Lynch’s lawyers argued that HP was so eager to acquire Autonomy that it failed to adequately check the books .

Lynch had taken Morvill, who was one of his defense attorneys, on the luxury trip.

Chamberlain was not on the Bayesian.

In what appears to be a tragic coincidence, a car struck and killed Chamberlain on Saturday as he was jogging in a village about 68 miles north of London, local police said.

“Steve fought successfully to clear his good name at trial earlier this year, and his good name now lives on through his wonderful family,” Chamberlain’s lawyer, Gary Lincenberg, said in a statement .

Missing Hannah Lynch's former classmates 'shocked' at superyacht tragedy

Hannah Lynch remains one of six people feared dead after luxury vessel Bayesian sank when it was moored half-a-mile off the coast of Porticello, near Palermo, Italy on Monday

Former classmates of a teenager feared dead following the Bayesian yacht disaster say they are "shocked" as they anxiously await further developments.

Hannah Lynch, 18, had this month received her A-level results and is bound for University of Oxford to study English. She had attended the prestigious Latymer Upper School in Hammersmith, west London, which said last night its thoughts are with the young woman's family.

The statement read: "We are all incredibly shocked by the news that Hannah and her father are among those missing in this tragic incident and our thoughts are with their family and everyone involved as we await further updates."

Hannah was on the boat with her tech tycoon father, Mike Lynch, but the vessel sank when it was moored half-a-mile off the coast of Porticello, near Palermo, Italy on Monday morning during fierce storms .

The search for the pair, and a further four tourists - including Morgan Stanley chair Jonathan Bloomer and his wife - continues today. Fifteen people, however, have survived the ordeal, including a fearless British mum who saved her one-year-old baby from drowning . Hannah's mother, Angela Bacares, also survived.

Latymer Upper School is a private, £25,000-a-year school, a short walk from the River Thames near the affluent Ravenscourt Park area. The school's academic results place it among the top schools nationally, and alumni include members of both Houses of Parliament, winners of Olympic medals, actors, musicians, and many figures in the arts and sciences.

Tornado-speed winds flipped the superyacht in the early hours of Monday morning. Rescue efforts are currently underway, with Vincenzo Zagarola of the Italian Coastguard telling PA news agency authorities believe the missing six people are likely to be trapped inside the boat .

"Of course, we do not exclude that they are not inside the boat, but we know the boat sank quickly. We suppose that the six people missing may not have had time to get out of the boat," he said.

The cruise was reportedly a celebration of Mr Lynch's recent acquittal of fraud charges in the United States . The Telegraph reported Mr Lynch had guests from the legal firm that represented him and his own company to join him on the voyage.
