Meet Marco. A man with a dream and a veteran of the Croatian nautical tourism industry for over 30 years. A current owner of several cruise ships operating in the Adriatic, it was always his ambition when the time was right to deliver the finest modern eco-yacht available for private charter.

Captain: Filip Brekalo

FILIP BREKALO - CAPTAIN Captain Filip was born in 1985 in Split, Croatia. At a young age, he started working on fishing and excursion ships, so he has had at least 20 years of nautical experience. He finished his education at the University of Split as the officer of navigational watch on a ship of 500 GT or more and additionally attained the master of a ship up to 500 GT on near costal voyages and the yacht master certificate. Over the years, he has undergone continuous training and attained many professional certificates. His first employment was aboard of a container vessel sailing around world. Since 2013, he has been working as a captain on various small cruise ships sailing along the entire Adriatic coast. In 2019, he and his crew (m/s Pacific) received an award for the best crew of mini cruise ships in Croatia. He also has experience in yacht transfers. His hobbies are skiing and rafting. In addition to being a captain, Filip is a ski instructor, football referee, and rafting instructor. He was the Croatian national representative in rafting and a silver medallist at the European championship. He is married with 1 child. Filip speaks Croatian and English NEMANJA SAVIC - CHEF A graduate of the Hotel Management School Serbia, Nemanja's chef career started in the hotel Avala in Budva in 2007. From there he has worked for the most prestigious hotel brands in Serbia including a position of a head chef at the United States Embassy in Belgrade. He is a very versatile chef who does not dare to push the boundaries. He loves exploring the local markets in search for his ideas, he is very keen on promoting organic productions and encourages working with the local producers. His specialty is ‘Beef Wellington’ and any of fish dishes done using freshly caught fish in the Adriatic. In his spare time, Nemanja likes travelling and exploring the world’s cuisines. MARINA MUSULIN - CHIEF STEWARDESS Marina joined Life is Good last summer. Marina's background is actually in acting and he has a bit of 'celebrity' status locally. She has a MA degree in Tourism Management as well. She is a very creative person, and understands the importance of small details. On a recent charter, she surprised one of the guests with a handwritten local dish served on board recipe (that the guests loved so much) sealed with a locally grown Orchid, Marina would not just give them a recipe on a piece of paper! She loves surprising the guests with small details all the time. She speaks English and Spanish. MARIN JELIC - BARMAN Marin was born in Germany but his parents took him as a child back to Croatia to a small town of Stobrec where he spent his childhood. A very communicative person and a passion for travel led him to study Travel and Hospitality. After graduating, he started working for some of the top bars and cafes on the Adriatic where he acquired excellent hospitality skills. He loves sport and is an avid football player. Marin speaks English, Croatian and a bit of German.

At a young age, he started working on fishing and excursion ships, so he has had at least 20 years of nautical experience. He finished his education at the University of Split as the officer of navigational watch on a ship of 500 GT or more and additionally attained the master of a ship up to 500 GT on near costal voyages and the yacht master certificate. Over the years, he has undergone continuous training and attained many professional certificates. <br /> <br /> His first employment was aboard of a container vessel sailing around world. Since 2013, he has been working as a captain on various small cruise ships sailing along the entire Adriatic coast. In 2019, he and his crew (m/s Pacific) received an award for the best crew of mini cruise ships in Croatia. He also has experience in yacht transfers.<br /> His hobbies are skiing and rafting. In addition to being a captain, Filip is a ski instructor, football referee, and rafting instructor. He was the Croatian national representative in rafting and a silver medallist at the European championship. He is married with 1 child. Filip speaks Croatian and English<br /> <br /> NEMANJA SAVIC - CHEF <br /> A graduate of the Hotel Management School Serbia, Nemanja's chef career started in the hotel Avala in Budva in 2007. From there he has worked for the most prestigious hotel brands in Serbia including a position of a head chef at the United States Embassy in Belgrade. He is a very versatile chef who does not dare to push the boundaries. He loves exploring the local markets in search for his ideas, he is very keen on promoting organic productions and encourages working with the local producers. <br /> His specialty is ‘Beef Wellington’ and any of fish dishes done using freshly caught fish in the Adriatic. In his spare time, Nemanja likes travelling and exploring the world’s cuisines. <br /> <br /> <br /> MARINA MUSULIN - CHIEF STEWARDESS <br /> Marina joined Life is Good last summer. Marina's background is actually in acting and he has a bit of 'celebrity' status locally. She has a MA degree in Tourism Management as well. She is a very creative person, and understands the importance of small details. On a recent charter, she surprised one of the guests with a handwritten local dish served on board recipe (that the guests loved so much) sealed with a locally grown Orchid, Marina would not just give them a recipe on a piece of paper! She loves surprising the guests with small details all the time. She speaks English and Spanish.<br /> <br /> <br /> MARIN JELIC - BARMAN <br /> Marin was born in Germany but his parents took him as a child back to Croatia to a small town of Stobrec where he spent his childhood. A very communicative person and a passion for travel led him to study Travel and Hospitality. After graduating, he started working for some of the top bars and cafes on the Adriatic where he acquired excellent hospitality skills. He loves sport and is an avid football player. LIFE IS GOOD

Built in Croatia in 2022, Life is Good is instantly recognisable with her unique brushed-steel grey hull and huge mast, which stands at 48 metres tall. One of the Adriatic's finest modern eco-yachts, she is the perfect vessel for large groups who want to enjoy a week of sailing around the Dalmatian islands at their own pace. On board, the experienced captain, who heads an attentive crew of eight, including an award-winning chef, ensures that every day is a different experience. Explore the incredibly preserved historical towns along the coast, visiting village restaurants offering authentic local cuisine, or just taking time to enjoy the quiet bays for a swim in the crystal-clear waters. Whatever you decide to do, the captain will design the itinerary around your group’s interests. Alternatively, leave him to decide and perhaps enjoy some lovely, serendipitous moments.

On board there are plenty of breakout areas to entertain or just simply relax in. A popular place for a cold drink in the daytime is the bow’s Jacuzzi, while at night-time the fully staffed cocktail bar in the saloon comes to life. Throughout the yacht there is an assorted range of sun loungers, seating areas, alfresco dining, and an outdoor high fidelity music system providing you with the opportunity to personalise your own sailing soundtrack. Below deck features six spacious staterooms decorated to a high standard with fully appointed en suites and generously sized windows. At full stern, Life is Good features an adjustable hydraulic swimming platform which is an ideal launchpad to enjoy the overflowing trunk of the latest water toys, including Sea-Doo, SeaBob, jet ski, and water skis.

An APA (Advance Provision Allowance) payment is required to cover all expenses on board - 30% of the value of the charter.
At the end of the charter, an expense report, backed up by receipts, will be presented by the captain. Any over payment will be refunded by the captain or if more funds are required, the balance can be settled directly with the captain in cash.
To use the jet-ski, you must present a valid personal watercraft license to the captain.

Down here on the sun-kissed banks of the Adriatic we've been building yachts since the Venetians, the industry just went to sleep for a while. Now shipyards the length of the country have re-opened their doors with a flurry of activity, and the Croatian yachting landscape is changing forever.

Main features

WEEKLY CHARTER RATE 2024: High season (July & August): €79,500 + APA 30% + 13% VAT Mid Season (June & September): €73,000 + APA 30% + 13% VAT Low Season (May & October): €69,000 + APA 30% + 13% VAT

Crew Gratuity: Although discretionary, a crew gratuity of 10-15% of the charter fee is customary.

CYBA/MYBA terms will apply.

APA (Advance Provisioning Allowance): APA is an estimate (usually 30% of the charter rate) paid with the balance for covering running costs during the charter (food, drinks, fuel, mooring fees, and anything else that guests might need while on charter). Final accounts will be produced by the Captain at the end of the charter and any unused funds will be refunded in full to the Charterer directly. If the funds are not sufficient, the Captain will advise the Charterer accordingly and bills will be settled upon disembarkation.

Payment conditions: 50% of the charter rate within 7 days of signing the charter agreement, remaining 50% plus APA, at least 5 weeks before the beginning of the charter.

FILIP BREKALO - CAPTAIN Captain Filip was born in 1985 in Split, Croatia. At a young age, he started working on fishing and excursion ships, so he has had at least 20 years of nautical experience. He finished his education at the University of Split as the officer of navigational watch on a ship of 500 GT or more and additionally attained the master of a ship up to 500 GT on near costal voyages and the yacht master certificate. Over the years, he has undergone continuous training and attained many professional certificates. His first employment was aboard of a container vessel sailing around world. Since 2013, he has been working as a captain on various small cruise ships sailing along the entire Adriatic coast. In 2019, he and his crew (m/s Pacific) received an award for the best crew of mini cruise ships in Croatia. He also has experience in yacht transfers. His hobbies are skiing and rafting. In addition to being a captain, Filip is a ski instructor, football referee, and rafting instructor. He was the Croatian national representative in rafting and a silver medallist at the European championship. He is married with 1 child. Filip speaks Croatian and English NEMANJA SAVIC - CHEF A graduate of the Hotel Management School Serbia, Nemanja´s chef career started in the hotel Avala in Budva in 2007. From there he has worked for the most prestigious hotel brands in Serbia including a position of a head chef at the United States Embassy in Belgrade. He is a very versatile chef who does not dare to push the boundaries. He loves exploring the local markets in search for his ideas, he is very keen on promoting organic productions and encourages working with the local producers. His specialty is ‘Beef Wellington’ and any of fish dishes done using freshly caught fish in the Adriatic. In his spare time, Nemanja likes travelling and exploring the world’s cuisines. MARINA MUSULIN - CHIEF STEWARDESS Marina joined Life is Good last summer. Marina´s background is actually in acting and he has a bit of ´celebrity´ status locally. She has a MA degree in Tourism Management as well. She is a very creative person, and understands the importance of small details. On a recent charter, she surprised one of the guests with a handwritten local dish served on board recipe (that the guests loved so much) sealed with a locally grown Orchid, Marina would not just give them a recipe on a piece of paper! She loves surprising the guests with small details all the time. She speaks English and Spanish. MARIN JELIC - BARMAN Marin was born in Germany but his parents took him as a child back to Croatia to a small town of Stobrec where he spent his childhood. A very communicative person and a passion for travel led him to study Travel and Hospitality. After graduating, he started working for some of the top bars and cafes on the Adriatic where he acquired excellent hospitality skills. He loves sport and is an avid football player. Marin speaks English, Croatian and a bit of German.

Marko has been working professionally in yachting for the past 20 years, initially on the catamarans and more recently in command of three locally custom built 45m yachts. Marko has extensively cruised both the Western and Eastern Mediterranean as well as the Caribbean. However, his favorite cruising ground is the Adriatic. A keen swimmer and a father to two children, Marko's wealth of local knowledge will ensure a truly authentic yachting experience of the Adriatic.

An award winning chef with over 20 years of international experience. Tomo's passion for travelling took him to the remotest corners of the world that inspired him to develop some of his best signature dishes. He works directly with the local farms and fishing boats ensuring that only the freshest and organically grown produce are served on the yacht.
