Classic sailing yacht HALCYON measures 28.96m (95’) and was launched in 1929 by John Thornycroft and refitted in 2006. HALCYON can accommodate up to 8 charter guests in four cabins and have a crew of 3 on board.

On the main deck, the cockpit provides a comfortable space for guests to gather outside in the sunshine, and sunbathers can rest on the roof of the coach-house or along the padded benches along the sides. A square alfresco dining table is placed on the foredeck and there is bench-like seating to sit all guests together. The foredeck is used for storing the tender, and when clear can be used for sunbathing, exercise and observation.

The lower deck places the guest accommodation forward and aft of the central salon, with the galley forward. The central salon was a C-shaped sofa around a formal dining table, with additional chairs to seat all eight guests. Opposite, a sofa/daybed is placed along the port wall where guests can unwind with reading material. The room is filled with classic elements, such as the original fireplace and old barometers.

HALCYON Specifications

A stairway leads to the deck above, where a padded sofa is placed beneath the large traditional windows. A TV is placed forward for entertainment during transit.

The 130 HP Perkins, Mastervolt Whisper 16 KW generator produces a cruising speed of 6 knots and a top speed of 7 knots.

Yacht Charter Accommodation

The accommodation sleeps up to 8 guests across 4 cabins: 1 Master suite, 1 VIP twin and 2 twins. The Master suite is placed to starboard with the VIP twin placed to port and both have an en-suite bathroom with a toilet, sink and shower. The two twin cabins forward of the salon share a bathroom containing a toilet, sink and shower. The cabins are furnished in beautiful Burma teak and most of it is from when she was originally built. The crew of 3 will ensure that everyone on board is well taken care of throughout the cruise.

The Parent Trap (1998)

M/Y Synthesis 66

The setting of the long-awaited reunion between parents, masterminded by the film’s central red-headed twin sisters (both played by Lindsay Lohan), this 139-foot luxury motor yacht has a classic design. Built and launched by renowned superyacht builder Feadship in 1982, the Synthesis 66 has a unique canoe stern and expansive aft deck. Named Halcyon in the film, the vessel’s 5 cabins can accommodate up to 10 guests. Her exterior design was created by De Voogt Naval Architects with interiors designed by Pierre Tanter.

The Wolf of Wall Street (2013)

The motor yacht M3 served as the setting for the extravagant, drug-fueled parties of the film’s main character, Jordan Belfort. In the film, the M3  portrays the real-life yacht Belfort actually owned, the Nadine . The yacht infamously sank off the coast of Italy in 1996, 1 which was depicted in the movie. This 147.01-foot yacht was built in 2002 by Intermarine. Previously named Lady M, the vessel has recently painted its hull black. About Halcyon

Originally launched in 1989 as White Rabbit , Odyssey was refitted by the Feadship Makkum yard in 2010. This major project – which won the ISS Best Refit Award – included extending the hull by three metres and adding significant real estate to the superstructure. Newly installed features included a hydraulic swim platform, hydraulic passerelle, guest lazarette and a host of other facilities designed to maximise onboard comforts. The main deck aft was extended to include a new U-shaped seating arrangement, while a new tender crane was fitted on the lengthened bridge deck. All decks were re-laid with teak and new cap rails adorn every deck.

The RWD-designed 'indoor' changes were equally impressive, with new bathrooms in all suites, new interiors for the galley and bridge deck lounge, new freezers and refrigerators, new laundry interior and equipment, and a wide-ranging refurb of the crew interior. Two new Caterpillar C6.6 100 kW generators were fitted in the repainted engine room. Five years in the making, Project 821 is at the bleeding edge of marine innovation. Designed by British studio RWD, the vessel uses hydrogen to power both the propulsion system and hotel load to eliminate carbon emissions. The 290-footer is also the largest yacht built by Feadship to date, meaning it could easily hold the requisite fuel cells, battery banks, and hydrogen tanks.

For the unversed, fuel cells are a combustion-free way to generate electricity. The fuel cell turns hydrogen into electricity that can be used or stored in lithium-ion battery banks. The only emission is water vapor. The automotive and aerospace industries have already embraced fuel cells, but the marine sector had to overcome some design issues and safety regulations before incorporating the technology. How to store compressed liquid hydrogen below deck at -423.4 degrees Fahrenheit is one such hurdle Feadship had to overcome.

Hydrogen is light but must be held in large, cumbersome tanks. In fact, Feadship says it takes eight to 10 times more space to store the hydrogen than the equivalent in diesel fuel. In the case of Project 821, the yard added 13 feet to the vessel’s original length to accommodate a large tank that holds more than four tons of hydrogen, 16 compact fuel cells, and the vent stacks. Even a yacht of such proportions cannot carry enough liquid hydrogen to power a crossing, but there is enough to generate electricity for short trips and the hotel load. The fuel cell technology can provide an entire week’s worth of silent operation at anchor or allow the yacht to cruise emission-free at 10 knots for a short period.

In instances when pure hydrogen is not an option, MTU generators running on HVO biofuel will send power to the 3,200 kW ABB pod drives. As you might expect, the yacht features an advanced energy management system that helps reduce power usage onboard.

Project 821 is by no means short on luxury, either. Showcasing an elegant, modern silhouette, the behemoth offers five decks above the waterline and two below. It also has the most hull openings of any vessel in the Feadship fleet, with 14 balconies, five shell doors, and seven fold-out platforms.

Penned by GA, the elegant interior pairs a neutral palette with textured fabrics to create a luxe coastal vibe. The epic owner’s deck is equipped with two bedrooms, dual bathrooms, twin dressing rooms, a gym, a pantry, two offices with fireplaces, a living room, and an outdoor terrace with a Jacuzzi. The owner can then take a private elevator to the coffee corner and games area on the bridge deck, the library on the main deck, or the private dining room. In this way, Project 821 evokes a four-level townhouse by the sea.

Seemed to be a flotilla of Feadships in Ft. Lauderdale this weekend. I was bringing the boat home from the yard and spotted these along the way. Enjoy! The first is "D'Natalin II". Not your typical Feadship...

Not a Feadship, but the lines are strikingly similar. This is "Southerly", a regular resident of Bahia Mar. She's 150' in length. Southerly was a Picchiotti designed by the late Arthur De Fever and she was launched in 1982. The yard of Picchiotti has gone under years ago and their facilities are now part of Perini Navi.

Carl, I just noticed another "oops"... D'Natalin isn't a Feadship. According to the "Top 100 Largest NA Built Yachts" article in the May/June 05 issue of Boat Int USA D'Natalin (ex-Sally Ann) was built by Delta Marine

This is D'Natalin "2" and it is definately a Feadship. I had a very high-tech way of identifying the builder... the Feadship name plate was on the side! I'm not absolute on the spelling of the name. I often take these pictures, 100's at a time and have to recall from memory the details before posting. This is often compounded by one or two drinks.

Ok... I see. But in my defense, check your PMs in about 5 minutes. You'll see why I was in error.

"D'Natalin I" was an old 35m Benetti" D'Natalin, is a Delta, the sister ship to the previous Fortunate Son, not the Ocean Fast Perfect Prescription. Before it was D'Natalin it spent five years going around the world with the name Sally Ann. If you have been around that particular boat there are some hilarious stories about it. An interesting fact is Fortunate Son is steel hulled and D'Natalin is glass.

Well, I can assure you there was an old Benetti 116 called "D'Natalin" crusing here in the and that stoped often here in Monaco. Most probabably, this Benetti got sold and its former owner called the 151 Delta "D'Nathalin" also... Ο tommy hilfiger πούλησε το mega yacht «flag» σε ελληνα εφοπλιστή έναντι 39,5 εκατ. ευρώ (pics), το σκάφος feadship μήκους 62,3 μέτρων (204 ποδών) πωλήθηκε από την merle wood & associates σε συμφωνία με την torrance yachts.

Ο Αμερικανός σχεδιαστής μόδας Tommy Hilfiger πούλησε το «πιο πολύτιμο απόκτημά του», όπως το χαρακτήριζε, το πολυτελές mega yacht Flag.

Το σκάφος Feadship μήκους 62,3 μέτρων (204 ποδών) πωλήθηκε από την Merle Wood & Associates σε συμφωνία με την Torrance Yachts . Δεν είναι σαφές το ποσό για το οποίο άλλαξε χέρια το γιοτ, αλλά τελευταία ζητούσε 39.500.000 ευρώ. Σύμφωνα με πληροφορίες το πούλησε σε Έλληνα εφοπλιστή από παραδοσιακή στην ναυτιλιακή βιομηχανία οικογένεια.

Ο Tommy Hilfiger σχολίασε σε συνέντευξή του πριν από μερικά χρόνια ότι η κατοχή ενός superyacht είναι σαν να διευθύνεις μια ακριβή επιχείρηση για να προσθέσει:

«Αν πάρω τη σωστή τιμή, θα το πουλήσω και ίσως φτιάξω κάτι μεγαλύτερο». Πιθανότατα θα έβρισκε τη σωστή τιμή γι’ αυτό. Παραδόθηκε το 2000. Κατασκευάστηκε από τη Feadship και διαθέτει εξωτερική σχεδίαση και ναυτική αρχιτεκτονική που υπογράφει η De Voogt Naval Architects. Παλαιότερα ήταν γνωστό ως Faith και ανήκε στον Lawrence Stroll, εκτελεστικό πρόεδρο της Aston Martin. Ο Tommy Hilfiger το αγόρασε από αυτόν το 2017 και το χρησιμοποιούσε ως καλοκαιρινή κατοικία τα τελευταία χρόνια , ταξιδεύοντας στη Μεσόγειο, από το Σεν Τροπέ μέχρι το Πορτοφίνο, τη Σαρδηνία και το Κάπρι.

Συνεργάστηκε με τον Chahan Minassian, τον δημιουργικό διευθυντή του Ralph Lauren και αρχικό σχεδιαστή του εσωτερικού του σκάφους, για να επανασχεδιάσει τους εσωτερικούς χώρους και να τους εμπλουτίσει με τα χρώματα της αμερικανικής σημαίας και το εμβληματικό λογότυπο του Hilfiger.

Κατασκευασμένο από χάλυβα και αλουμίνιο, το Flag είναι ένα από τα πιο αναγνωρίσιμα σχέδια της Feadship. Διαθέτει κομψές εξωτερικές γραμμές και ένα διαχρονικό εσωτερικό που κυριαρχείται από ξύλινες επενδύσεις, κρεμ βελούδινα χαλιά, δερμάτινα περιτυλίγματα και δάπεδα από φυσική πέτρα.

Με την πάροδο των ετών, έχουν επιβιβαστεί σε αυτό πλήθος διάσημων επισκεπτών, όπως ο ιδιοκτήτης του Flag, όπως ο A$AP Rocky, η Bella Hadid, ο Lewis Hamilton και η Kendall Jenner.
