With her open-plan interior and huge entertaining areas, she is an incredibly versatile vessel. Her most beloved features are her fully retractable Targa sunroof for the warm, sunny days or to stargaze during the evening, along with her large open foredeck, providing uninterrupted 360-degree views of the stunning Sydney Harbour backdrop. Following a recent extensive interior refurbishment, AUSSIE MAGIC was decked out with a new bar, DJ booth, renovated bathrooms and new carpets and furniture including plush booth seating. Aussie Magic features a spacious outdoor entertaining deck, a versatile open plan interior, and the unique feature of its opening Targa roof. With a capacity of up to 150 the Aussie Magic catamaran is suitable for a range of harbour cruise occasions including wedding ceremonies and wedding receptions, corporate entertaining, Christmas parties, product launches, school formals and private social parties. This vessel offers a range of catering options range from party canapés to buffets and wedding banquets.

Terms & Conditions for Aussie Magic

Terms & conditions.

QUOTES Quotes are valid for 14 days, after which pricing may be subject to change.

DEPOSITS Tentative Reservations are held for up to 7 days. Thereafter a deposit is required to secure your booking. Aussie Magic Deposit amount: Jan to Oct: $2,300 Nov-Dec $3500. Once your deposit is paid, the deposit is nonrefundable. Please note that a service fee applies for Visa, MasterCard and Amex payments

PROGRESS PAYMENTS Progress payments may be required in intervals leading up to your event. The amount and frequency of each of these payments will be at the discretion of management.

CANCELLATION / POSTPONEMENT All Cancellations/Postponements must be submitted in writing. Please note, deposits are non-refundable. The operator may agree to transfer monies received to a future date or time on the same vessel only at their discretion.

The following Cancellation or Postponement fees are applicable: 40% of the total cruise cost (within 30 days of the cruise) 65% of the total cruise cost (within 14 days of the cruise)

COVID-19 Cancellation Policy: Government regulations and restrictions that have been imposed may impact your charter. Any charters fitting the following criteria may be postponed, at no charge, to a date within 12 months of the scheduled cruise date. No refunds will be available.

1. The vessel passenger capacity has lowered beyond your original booking numbers, meaning your charter can no longer be accommodated. 2. The vessel is not permitted to operate due to Government advice. 3. The state of NSW goes into mandated lockdown. 4. If the booking party is self-isolating at the time of the scheduled charter.

FINAL GUEST NUMBERS & PAYMENT Confirmed final guest numbers and final payment is required 2 weeks prior to the cruise. We are unable to offer a refund if there is a reduction in numbers after this deadline. Guest numbers may increase up to 48 hours prior to your event - additional payment is required immediately via credit card.

MINIMUM SPEND The client is required to meet the agreed minimum numbers and/or minimum spend as per the charter agreement.

ADDITIONAL CHARGES Additional charges accumulated at your event whilst on the agreed charter i.e. bar or food etc, is to be paid in cash or credit card prior to disembarking at the conclusion of your charter.

BONDS: Please note that a $1500 bond is required for all private charters as a payment guarantee should there be additional charges on your charter. E.g. additional hours, bar tabs, additional passengers, damages etc.

EXTENSION CHARGES Should you decide to extend the length of your event, payment in full is required in cash, cheque or credit at the time of extending. Pricing is available on application from your event coordinator

PUBLIC HOLIDAYS Cruises incur a 25% surcharge on the overall cruise cost and must be al- inclusive

STATE GOVERNMENT WHARF FEE Sydney Harbour wharves incur a State Government wharf fee per berthing (except for wharves requiring a Pyrmont Bridge Opening). The allocated time at your selected wharf is 15 minutes.

VENUE RIGHTS The venue reserves the right to:

• Remove any person behaving in an irresponsible manner.

• Refuse service to any guest deemed intoxicated or acting inappropriately.

• Accept no responsibility for loss or damage to any property belonging to, or hired by, the client or their guests during/following your event.

• If we consider necessary (for example, due to mechanical breakdown, for safety reasons, weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances), to substitute vessels without notice (including any vessels of a third party), change any menu items, cruise schedule/program or performance itinerary. We will endeavour to provide a similar quality vessel, menu, service, schedule / program or performance in these circumstances.

• Close at least 30mins prior to disembarkation in accordance with the liquor license, and comply with Australian legislation with regards to responsible service of alcohol.

ENTERTAINMENT Entertainment must conclude 30 minutes prior to disembarkation. Bands / DJ’s are required to supply their own sound equipment including speakers. The operator reserves the rights to control volume on all entertainment. All external staff organised by yourself for your function i.e. photographer, band members, DJ’s expecting a seat with a meal must be included in your final numbers. They are each payable at 50% of adults price, this provides them with dinner and soft drinks or juice.

DECORATIONS / VENUE SET UP All deliveries must be pre-arranged with your event coordinator. Items must be delivered 48 hours prior to the event. All items must be labelled with cruise date, vessel and your unique reference number. You are not permitted to pin or stick any decorations to the walls. You are responsible in ensuring that suppliers provide adequate staff to deliver assemble and arrange decorations. All decorations must be arranged, positioned and removed at the conclusion of the event. If items are not collected within 48 hours after the event, the operator reserves the right to dispose of all items. Please ensure that all suppliers are aware of this. Your suppliers have access to the venue at a time agreed with your event coordinator. Additional hours are at the discretion of Management and require an Event Host charged at a rate of $65 per additional hour.

CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES Clients/guests are not permitted access inside venue prior to agreed event commencement time. Given availability event organisers may arrange an earlier access time on application. The vessel operator accepts no responsibility for any incidents that may occur prior to cruise commencement. Individuals are required to act in a safe and responsible matter whilst on board. Clients are expected to conduct their event in a legal and responsible manner. Clients will be charged for damage that occurs to the restraint and/ or its property. Smoking is only permitted in external areas of the vessel. The operator accepts no responsibility for items left in/ at the venue prior/during/following your event. Any open alcohol bottles are not permitted to be taken off the vessel at disembarkation. All lost property or leftover items must be picked up within 48 hours post charter, after this period the operator reserves the right to dispose of all items.

HEALTH AND SAFETY All vessels that operate on Sydney Harbour and as such come with the risks associated with being on a body of water. Life jackets are stored on each vessel and all staff re-equipped in the case of an emergency. However, the operator accepts no responsibility for any injury caused to patrons or damage to goods while on their vessels, pertaining to the sudden movement of the Harbour swell or when embarking or disembarking the vessel on any public or private wharf. All patrons are required to demonstrate a basic level of caution while present on a moving vessel.

UNDERAGE CRUISES

SUPERVISION The operator requires the Charter Contract to be signed by a parent or legal guardian and that at least 2 adult supervisors (parent/ legal guardians) are on-board Aussie Magic. Whilst they are included in passenger numbers, supervisors may cruise at no charge.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY The vessel is a licensed venue and has conditions of entry – you are forbidden to carry any alcohol or illegal substances onto the boat. We reserve the right to refuse you entry onto the boat or require you to disembark from the boat due to intoxication or for the safety of other guests on board. Tickets will not be refunded under any of these circumstances.

SECURITY The operator engages a Licensed Security Company. Security guards have the right to bag search, Search and Seize, or report you to police if they suspect you are carrying illegal substances or alcohol. If you are found under the influence or in possession of alcohol or illegal substance they will be confiscated and you must disembark immediately, your parents will be informed and you may be referred to NSW State Police.

BREATH-TESTING Random compulsory breath-testing may apply prior to boarding. A strict zero tolerance policy applies in accordance with NSW State Law. If you refuse to comply, you will not be allowed to board the boat. If guests are behaving in a disorderly manner or suspect that guests are under the influence of alcohol or illicit drugs staff and security guards reserve the right to cancel the cruise at any time.

Safety and Equipment Is the boat safe and in good condition? Yes, the vessel is currently in survey with the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA), which requires comprehensive safety equipment standards and regular safety checks. A safety briefing is given to the charter passengers before embarking and safety gear will be provided if required. All vessels in our fleet are selected for safety, comfort, quality and cleanliness. We are proud to keep them this way. What is the maximum capacity of the boat? Aussie Magic is surveyed to hold a maximum of 140 passengers, 1 skipper and crew dependent on your passenger numbers. Please note, an infant, regardless of age is considered a passenger. Is the boat suitable for children? Yes, Aussie Magic is suitable for children appropriate sized lifejackets lifejackets are available on request. Children must be under adult supervision at all times. What toilet facilities are on board? Aussie Magic is equipped with multiple modern, spacious marine toilets with easy access for charter. Catered Food Options Can we organise a meal on board? Yes, we can recommend some excellent caterers for you where we can design the perfect menu to suit your budget and taste. On Tour Can we have music on board? Yes, the vessel is equipped with a sound system where you can plug in a music compatible device like an iPhone. Please ensure your mp3 player is fully charged. Where can we go during our charter? Your skipper can take you most places within Sydney Harbour, providing it is within the surveyed boundaries. Should your guests wish to go to a specific location within Sydney Harbour please let us know at time of briefing. Can we extend our charter time during the charter? Yes, although this is subject to availability. Please note, the charter will be extended based on the decision of the captain on board and payment will be processed post charter by authorised bond. Booking and Payment Can we view the boat before we book our charter? Yes, the vessel is located in Blackwattle Bay and viewings are possible most days. We recommend that you view the vessel so that you know exactly what the boat has to offer and whether it is suitable for your charter. Please call in advance to check availability and arrange a viewing. How do I secure my booking? A minimum 50% deposit is required to confirm booking, with the balance payable 14 days prior to commencement of the charter. Upon payment of your deposit, a Skippered Charter Contract will be emailed to you, confirming details relevant to your charter, which must be signed and returned. Payment can be made by MasterCard, Visa, EFTPOS, Electronic Funds Transfer or cash. Diners Card, Bankcard and Cheques are not accepted. Is there any paperwork to complete before we go on our charter? Yes, we require your signed contract and authorised bond form prior to your charter commencing. Cancellation If I cancel the charter, can I get a refund? We do not offer refunds should you wish to cancel your charter. If boating conditions are unsafe, as determined by the management of Sydney Harbour Escapes, we will offer a six month voucher where you can reschedule your charter based on availability. Please see our General Booking Information on our website or contact a staff member on 02 9328 4748 for details. Preparations and Arrival What do you advise we bring along for our charter? As conditions can vary on the water, it is suggested that you bring along a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, swimmers, and seasonal jumper or jacket. Please wear white-soled shoes or non-marking boating shoes. Strictly no black soled shoes or stiletto-heeled shoes, as this will damage the decking. Does our party need to get there before the set time of the charter? All your party should be at the designated pick up point at least 15 minutes prior to your charter time to allow loading of passengers and gear and to enable enough time for the skipper's safety briefing. Please note, our charter will start and finish at the times on your contract. Can one of our guests be picked up late and dropped off early from another wharf? Multiple pick up and drop off points are not recommended as this will shorten your charter time significantly. We suggest that guests wishing to join the charter late or leave early should arrange alternative transportation via water taxi at their own cost. We have two exciting options to choose from:

1. Join our renowned floating festival raft-up events! We gather a fleet of yachts at Rose Bay Wharf and sail to a secret spot on Sydney Harbour. There, we link up the yachts to create an afternoon party zone with top local DJs spinning tunes. You can reserve an entire yacht or purchase individual tickets. Prices start at *$3000 for a whole yacht and *$165 per person for a single ticket.

2. Prefer a private experience? You can hire a boat exclusively for you and your friends to explore Sydney Harbour without other vessels nearby. Prices for private charters range from *$300 per hour to *$1250 per hour. (*Additional fees may apply.)

A DJ will provide the music all night to get you on the dancefloor. You’ll enjoy the NYE fireworks view from the massive front deck and take in the open ski through the retractable roof. Burgess is delighted to announce its appointment as Central Agent for the sale of this new 44.3m (145.3ft) Dutch sailing yacht for sale, with completion expected early 2025.

Built to Lloyd’s classification by the prestigious Dutch shipyard Vitters, the 44.3m (145.3ft) PROJECT MAGIC is a fast-cruising sloop designed to exceed all expectations.

Exterior spaces

A sporty exterior with dynamic lines comes courtesy of Reichel Pugh Design, paired with a spacious 304GT of interiors designed by Design Unlimited/Pieter Laureys. The covered main cockpit allows for all-weather al fresco dining and lounging, with further deck space aft. The transom hatch also opens to double as a generous beach club.

Interior spaces

Blending inside and out, expansive glass windows and doors boast 360-degree views and are complemented by a warm colour palette. The main deck lounge is complete with a comfortable seating area opposite a formal dining table to port, and the glass doors open out to the recessed aft cockpit.

Guest accommodation 

PROJECT MAGIC hosts 10 guests across five cabins, with a spacious full beam owner’s suite located in the stern complete with an en suite bathroom, his-and-hers walk-in wardrobes, and an office. Two additional guest cabins are situated aft of the engine room, with one guest and one children’s bunk cabin positioned forward of the engine room.

PROJECT MAGIC is a single screw diesel yacht, giving her a cruising speed of nine knots, a maximum speed of 12 knots, and a range of 3,000nm.
