Winner of the Adriatic Boat of The Year and the Asian Award, the 23.3 metres tall Lagoon 77 catamaran is the largest Lagoon ever built in the world. Remarkably spacious yet also very luxuriously built, the Lagoon 77 catamaran is a product of exterior design from Patrick Le Quement and Italian Nauta Design.

DESIGN – EXTERIOR & INTERIOR

The Lagoon 77 has many different layouts such as 3-cabins, 4-cabins and 5-cabins. There is also an option between forward galley and aft galley layout.

The side-decks of Lagoon 77 are not only wide and spacious, but also have fine teak finishing which gives the catamaran an elegant look. The side-decks lead to two large grey nylon mesh springy trampolines at the foredeck. The foredeck also has 4 storage compartments which make up the massive storage capacity aboard the catamaran.

Like the Lagoon 42 , the cockpit level is the same as that of the saloon. The aft cockpit offers a unique, large space that is not only a living area but also an integrated sunbathing area. The seating area has an L-shaped bench with storage lockers facing a teak dining table and a daybed. The two sunbathing areas each have their own storage lockers while there are two storage lockers under the cockpit floors.

The forward cockpit can be accessed through the saloon with a sliding door. It also offers two seating areas and a storage locker under port seating. 

ACCOMODATIONS

In the 5-cabin version of the layout, the aft cabin of Lagoon 77 has two single beds which can be converted into a double bed. The cabin offers enough access along the sides of the beds for movement and has one central side-table. The storage offered in the cabin is massive and comprised of one hanging locker, one drawer underneath each bed, and one storage locker. There are two windows with one opening deck hatch and an opening porthole to allow for light and ventilation. The aft bathroom is luxurious and large, with multiple lockers, separated shower space, and both head and hand showers.

The other cabins offer the same luxurious facilities with master island beds and attached, large bathrooms. The storage space is also similarly massive with multiple lockers, drawers underneath the beds, bookshelves, bedside tables, and cupboards.

The owner’s suite is even more lavish with its own private balcony or veranda that is accessed through a wooden door. With an island master bed, double bedside tables, multiple hatches, and large storage space, the owner’s suite leaves next to nothing to be desired. The private balcony gives direct access to a private beach and the flexibility of space means that the suite remains independent yet a part of the larger vessel.

Lagoon 77 also has two bunk beds in the crew cabin and separate storage spaces in both the crew cabin and the crew bathroom.

The saloon offers an exquisite space to exist in with family and friends. Accessed from the aft cockpit via a sliding door and the forward cockpit with a glass door, the saloon houses a to port L-shaped settee, four leather chairs and a storage locker as well as a U-shaped settee, a low table, and lockers on starboard.   There is also a private lounge with one L-shaped settee and three private storage lockers.

The chart table in the saloon is also ideally placed with its own dedicated seat and a sliding desk along with the chart table and the electronics.

The galley in the Lagoon 77 catamaran is equipped with both a freezer and a refrigerator and has a spacious stainless steel double sink. There is plenty of storage space with three separate storage units having multiple drawers, doors, and shelves. The galley houses a four-burner hob and an oven, as well as a dining table and a bench seat.

Accessed from the cockpit via a spiral staircase, the flybridge of Lagoon 77 is unique in its offers of two furniture types – the loose furniture option and the built-in furniture option.

The flybridge on the Lagoon 77 is so large that it is not dedicated only for navigation but is divided into two parts, offering relaxation at the back and navigation at the front. The two large helm stations on the flybridge allow for incredible visibility and efficient maneuvering with comfortable helmsperson seats and cushions.

The relaxation area at the back of the flybridge does not only have comfortable seating options but also a bar cabinet with its own sink, fridge, and ice-maker.

ENGINE ROOMS

Lagoon 77 is powered by a standard Volvo D4-180 horsepower and an option John Deere N5-230 horsepower diesel engine and has two generators of 19 kW and 26 kW to meet all the power requirements of the refrigerators, wine coolers, and air conditioners, etc. The engine rooms have excellent ventilation with 2 fans in each engine compartment and are spacious with good lightning for easy and efficient maintenance checks.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

The Lagoon 77 catamaran has an overall length of 23.20 meters and the waterline length of 22.60 meters. It has a mast clearance of 38.20 meters. The maximum beam goes up to 11 meters and it has an enormous displacement of 57000 kilograms. The Lagoon 77 catamaran has a total water reserve capacity of 2200 liters with fresh water capacity being 2 x 800 liters and grey water capacity being 2 x 300 liters while the total fuel capacity is 2800 liters. With a complete surface area of 250 sq. meters and a habitable area of 205 sq. meters, the area that can be utilized aboard the 77 is remarkably close to that of a tennis court.

Lagoon Seventy 7 layout

The owner suite is what makes the Seventy  7 so unique. This private space is in the forward part of the hull to the starboard. It’s independent of the rest of the catamaran. It benefits from living space on two levels: one in the hull, the other on the main deck. These 25 m2 are fitted out with care and top-of-the-range materials. It comes with a king-size bed, a library, a desk, a sofa, a large dressing room, and a bathroom. 

This VIP cabin provides incredible freedom of movement. It allows direct access to the lounge, cockpit, and foredeck. The optional and sophisticated hydraulically operated exterior platform is very unique for a sailboat. It offers a private beach with direct access to the sea. You can, for instance, use it as a sunbathing area, an approach dock, or even as a leisure/relaxation area.

Different layout versions are available for the Lagoon 77: 3, 4, or even 5 guest cabins. Each of them is equipped with an island bed, a desk, plenty of storage space, and a private bathroom.

Thanks to their large windows and incredible ceiling height, the interior living and dining rooms are bright. It also offers an exceptional panoramic view. Elegant finishes and refined materials complete the ensemble to guarantee you a comfortable and luxurious stay.

The kitchen, to place forward or aft, provides direct access to the crew quarters. The working surface of the kitchen is an impressive 65 m², which is more than sufficient space to prepare incredible meals. 

Outside, the enormous flybridge offers additional living space. With its breathtaking view, it is ideal for eating and relaxing during sea outings. It also offers several layout options. An outdoor galley module allows the crew to prepare and serve meals.

You can directly access the forward cockpit from the deck and saloon. It offers an exceptional view of the horizon.

Where we do we start with the Lagoon Seventy 7? Let’s just start off by calling the Lagoon flagship a Supercat, shall we? This is the company that is the market leader in cruising catamarans with boats like the Lagoon 380 , but with the 77 they are muscling into the high end luxury market alongside market leader Sunreef.

You could go the whole hog when you order one of these boats and go for the optional fly­bridge Jacuzzi. Why not? They obviously saw the bubbles on the Fountaine Pajot Alegria 67 and thought “we can go one higher than that!”

This yacht has oodles of space and will accommodate a family clan, friends and a professional crew with ease. The owners suite includes a walk-in closet, double-sink head and private terrace that swings out from the hull. And the galley below could be in a Manhattan apartment. This boat has not quite hit the heights of that famous Hemisphere catamaran , but it’s not that far off, let’s face it.

This is the BIG Lagoon. The real head turner on this boat is that balcony off the master cabin- your own private breakfast bar or diving platform that they call the Private Beach. The 77 has a sleeker look than most of its smaller sisters and this Super Yacht is turning heads in marinas and bays around the world. With that huge flybridge and the forward cockpit directly accessible from the deck, there are multiple party zones, but you might need some staff for this catamaran. It can easily accommodate them. This catamaran manufacturer has come a long way since their Lagoon 67 days, but it seems like they have tried to emulate the lovely lines of that earlier performance multihull.

The creation of naval architects VPLP (Marc Van Peteghem and Vincent Lauriot-Prévost), this luxury yacht takes the batten from the Lagoon 620 as the company’s new flagship.

There are three headsails on hydraulic furlers and the triple-spreader rig is fairly user friendly for this sized boat. Having said that, this catamaran has been set up to accommodate professional crew aboard. She’s powered by 180 HP diesels, (an upgrade to 230 HPs is available). She’ll cruise at around 9 knots under power and she’ll sail 12 knots under sail with a 20 knot breeze on the beam.

The SEVENTY 7 has a big footprint but she looks balanced and sleek. A hydraulic swim platform can be lowered into the water to lift up the tender, or to provide a nice teak swimming platform. There’s room for 20 in the vast aft cockpit, on lounge seats and around a dining table. An curved staircase leads up to the flybridge from the port corner of the cockpit.

Head forward along the wide side decks and you’ll arrive at the forward cockpit with more sofas to lounge on, and its a short step up from here to the nets.

This is another one of those Wow Factor zones. With its carbon fibre helms, control stations and all of the lines coming back to five winches, it feels like you are on top of the world when you are up here.

In fact, if you are not aft in that huge cockpit, or forward enjoying a sundowner, you’ll probably be on the flybridge: it´s fully protected with a bimini and there are plenty of options on configuring this space, from sunbeds, to integrated furniture, looser arrangements or even a hot tub.

The helm stations are forward of this leisure space.

The master stateroom in the forward starboard hull is the talking point of this boat. There’s a king sized bed, a walk-in closet, a desk, a sofa and a large head and the wow factor is taken up a notch by the hydraulic terrace that lowers down from the hull side from the master stateroom: you own private “beach”. It’s a real head turner.

On the lower decks, there is quite a bit of scope to customise your own superyacht. You can go from between three to five cabins plus the crew quarters. The galley sits in the port hull with direct access to the crew quarters, and you can either locate it forward or aft. All in all you have 215 sq. ft. of working area when you are cooking. Not too shabby!

The main deck is huge and can be configured into separate zones or opened up into one huge space.

This new Lagoon flagship has moved the goalposts for this French manufacturer and we expect to see some of these wow factor features on some of their smaller boats. In fact the SIXTY 5 is the next to launch. What I particularly like about this design, is how VPLP have created a sleek looking yacht while sticking to that Lagoon winning formula: comfortable, safe sailing platforms that use every inch of space available. Having a yacht like this at the top of their range can only help the Lagoon brand in the long run.

How much does a Lagoon SEVENTY 7 cost? What is the price tag? Well, as always, this is heavily dependent on the options you order- especially for such a customisable yacht. But a figure over $4.5 million would put you in the right ball-park.

What´s the Main Competition for the Lagoon 77? We’d say this boat is a notch above Lagoon’s usual competitor, Fountaine Pajot, with their Alegria 67. You’re looking at the Sunreef 80.

YOUR CAPTAIN Niksa Gjurasic was born and raised in Dubrovnik, Croatia. His home was next to a marina, most of his time he would spend around boats, later in sailing and rowing club as active member. After maritime school he started to sail as apprentice officer on merchant ships and later, on yachts. In 30 years of sailing experience he become Master of the ship up to 3000GT by STCW convention, sailed over 250 000NM. YOUR CHEF Mario Katunarić introduces himself as a native of Split, Croatia, where he was born and received his education. His professional journey commenced on cruise ships navigating the Mediterranean Sea, subsequently leading him through a diverse array of international restaurants, villas, and catering services. Mario's culinary inclination leans towards a traditional modified kitchen, emphasizing fresh ingredients and healthy desserts. As a creative and cooperative individual, Mario eagerly anticipates encountering new challenges and fulfilling the desires of his clientele. YOUR MATE Jadran is communicative, flexible and open-minded person. He has a solid experienced in service industry and always open to learn new things. In 30 years of sailing experience he become Master of the ship up to 3000GT by STCW convention, sailed over 250 000NM.<br /> <br /> YOUR CHEF<br /> Petar was born on April 16th, 1970 in Karvina, The Czech Republic. His permanent residence is in Split, Croatia and he attended the Zadar Vocational School where he qualified as a building technician.<br /> His career on the sea started in 1990, and it has provided him with great experience as a waiter and later as a Chef. He has sailed on different kinds of vessels including big cruisers from the companies Royal Caribbean (where he mastered the knowledge of the Italian language beside the standard English), Festival and Sun Cruises.<br /> At one period in his life he has worked in well-known and established restaurants in Split, as Chef, but as his first love lies with the sea he decided to go back to ships where he has been working for the last 7 years. He positioned himself as a Chef on yachts (mini cruisers) of deluxe and deluxe superior categories owned by the most prestigious company on the Adriatic, Katarina-line.<br /> For the last three consecutive years he has been recognized and awarded as the Best Chef in the Fleet and have created the Menus for the highest categories of the before mentioned ships.<br /> Beside cooking, my great passion lies in sport, with which Petar has been engaged from his early age (running, yoga and boxing are just a few to mention). He is a non-smoker, and he practices a healthy lifestyle.<br /> <br /> YOUR MATE<br /> Marin is communicative, flexible and open-minded person. He has a solid experienced in service industry and always open to learn new things.<br /> He describes himself as hardworking, reliable and a good team player, whilst also being decent and discreet. His ability to quickly adapt to new situations is his greatest asset. Her true affection for people of any age resulted, working in hospitality for many years. She was a crew member on different private and charter yachts, developing a can-do attitude. Lagoon 77 Catamaran Yacht – An Unbeatable Choice!

Launched in 2019, Lagoon Seventy7 is a refined 77-foot luxury catamaran that’s the newest and largest of its kind from the Lagoon yacht building powerhouse. Van Peteghem-Lauriot Prevost (VPLP) was behind the vessel’s charming exterior design while Nauta Design conceptualized its chic interior.

Seventy 7 features an ingenious design, incorporating free-flowing spaces from the salon to the aft deck with multiple simple yet stylish social and relaxation areas. The catamaran exudes a luxurious and graceful ambiance, both on the interior and exterior, which makes it a perfect toy for the most discerning vacationer.

Accommodation

Lagoon 77 has a total of four cabins: a Master Cabin (Owner’s Suite), 2 Double Cabins, and 1 Twin Cabin. There are 3 Double and 2 Single beds in these cabins, which can accommodate up to 8 guests in complete luxury. Each cabin is spacious and has an ample amount of natural light entering in.

Perhaps one of the most outstanding features of the vessel is the Owner’s Suite, which is located in the forward hull area. Measuring a cool 25 square meters, the cabin provides superb living space on 2 levels; on the deck and on the hull.

The cabin’s inside is furnished with a king-size bed, bookcase, storage area, desk, walk-in robe, and a sofa. There is also a sizable, well-lit, and spacious bathroom that’s at your disposal.

In addition, the Owner’s Suite is fitted with a hydraulic platform, which can be lowered to create a small private beach overlooking the sea and provides direct access to the water too.

For added convenience, the cabin has direct access to both the cockpit and foredeck as well as direct (and private) access to and from the saloon. What more can you ask for in terms of accommodation when cruising at sea?

The vessel’s interior is sublime with marble and precious wood decorations, thoughtful layouts, and extremely stylish fixtures. The saloon, which has companionways to the owner’s suite, maintains an open-plan layout and boasts neutral color palettes that create a relaxing ambiance.

Along the starboard side, there are two comfortable seating areas with the mizzen mast splitting the space and providing the much-needed shelving. The port side, on the other hand, houses a formal dining space that is highlighted by windows and aft sliding-glass doors.

Also, within the same saloon space, lies a bar with an assortment of drinks for parties and other occasions. Below the decks are 3 impressive cabins and a fully-equipped chef’s galley. So Lagoon 77’s interior is as organized and comfortable as it is conveniently accessible.

Just directly above the saloon is a large aft cockpit featuring an al fresco dining space with amply cushioned seating and a direct access platform to the transom and flybridge.

At the flybridge, there is space where you can dine or recline; all while enjoying the stunning views of the sea and surrounding islands. The exterior also includes a forward Cockpit with informal lounge seating and an access point to the foredeck.

The cat’s extensive bow is fitted with trampolines, providing an ideal platform where you can stretch out and relax under the soothing sun. Lagoon 77 comes with a choice of 3 headsails but its striking golden mainsail is what makes it particularly enchanting even from a distance.

Performance

The seventy7 cat is equipped with a twin 180-hp engine, a 1600L (423 G) water tank, and a 2800 L (740 G) fuel tank. With that, you can hit maximum speeds with ease and sail quite consistently in all sea conditions.

While at sea, you can cruise at decent speeds of 11 knots per hour, which is sufficient enough to allow enjoy the caressing wind as you cruise on. It is also important to note that there’s a backup generator that is on standby whenever the power goes down.

Lagoon 77 is available for sailing in Croatia, with a variety of destinations to choose from. Sailing in summer with this vessel can particularly be convenient and fun. The preferred pick-up point for the Lagoon 77 is Marina Kastela and Split, Croatia. You can also be picked from ACI Dubrovnik if you feel that’s the most convenient point for you.

WOW is all I can say. I have been investigating different options for chartering a catamaran for the Bahamas. We are getting a group together to just go out and enjoy the sun and play. This seems like an ideal option. So if we can only have 8, and if we do have 8 will that be comfortable still or would a smaller number in our group be better?

That’s fantastic, the Lagoon 77 is a fantastic boat and if it’s available, then don’t miss the chance to charter it. You will absolutely love it. That sounds absolutely divine and the yacht is stunning. I am a sea lover and to charter this would be a dream. The owner’s suite is particularly impressive – sheet luxury. The prices are scary initially, but if you were to divide that between 8 people, still a lot, but not completely out of reach.

Do you know what the availability is like, does it get booked a long way in advance?

As you said, the Lagoon 77 is absolutely divine:) Yes, the price could be reduced significantly by sharing the boat with friends. The Lagoon 77 is already booked in June and part of July too. She is still available for the rest of the year, but bear in mind that catamarans are very popular and they are booked very quickly. If you want to make sure the boat will be available at your preferred date, then I would suggest you rent it at least six months in advance.

Catamarans are very fmiliar to me , being from the islands. But sheesh…never seen one with an interior like this!!!! Talk about a sweet ride! I now want to go to Croatia, just to go on this catamaran! Lol. I love the elegant cabins and the saloon looks so comfortable! After the summer in 2018 which was so hot, this would be the place to chill on holiday!

I also liked that it is rented with a crew! So what’s the damage to book this…I’m scared to look! And if ii is rented for a couple of days, where does the crew stay?

The Lagoon 77 is a brand new yacht, and she is just beautiful!
