Dutch shipyard Royal Hakvoort has announced the delivery of the 61m/200.1ft luxury expedition yacht TOP FIVE II after she departed the Netherlands for Florida on her maiden voyage on the 2nd of September.

E/Y TOP FIVE II was also known as PROJECT 251 during construction, and she features interior and exterior styling from Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design and naval architecture from Diana Yacht Design .
A cavernous interior is created with ceiling heights of 2.4m/7.10ft to make long periods at sea even more comfortable. A lift/elevator connects all decks, granting access to the beach club, sauna, swimming pool, the barbeque area on the upper deck and the spacious sunbathing and lounging area on the sundeck complete with a fire pit. The open-style galley on the main deck was a custom feature requested by the Owner, all of which is connected effortlessly through clean and classic styling using Japanese influences, a neutral palette, top quality marbles and fabrics, and natural materials and textures.

The accommodation sleeps up to 12 guests across 6 en-suite cabins, the majority of which is found on the main deck and includes a VIP stateroom with wheelchair access. Pride of place however is the Owner’s suite on the Owner’s deck, which has a skylight in addition to large windows, his-and-hers en-suite bathrooms, and a foredeck area with a private Jacuzzi and alfresco dining option.
The crew of 19 have also been considered in the design of their accommodation, and there is an extra-large mess and three private cabins reserved for the Captain, Chief Engineer and the First Officer.
The hull is reinforced to Ice-class standards and meets IMO TIER III for cruising in environmentally sensitive regions. A pair of Caterpillar 3512E Diesel engines give explorer yacht TOP FIVE II a maximum speed of 15.2 knots and a cruising speed of 12.7 knots, with a cruising range of 4,200 nautical miles at 12 knots.
Royal Hakvoort is currently constructing another 61m/200.1ft superyacht known as PROJECT ASIA , and the 45m/147.8ft all-aluminium fast cruising superyacht PROJECT ADUR designed by Omega Architects .

A $75,000,000 superyacht making its maiden voyage to be united with its billionaire owner for the first time has been captured by an amateur photographer in the area.
The boat, lit with the glowing title TOP FIVE II, is a 61m long yacht, only completed in the summer of 2021.
The custom-made yacht is thought to have been passing through Poole on Friday (September 3) on her maiden voyage from the Dutch boat yard where she was made.

Amateur photographer Craig Horrocks, 33, from Poole, spotted the superyacht passing through and knew it was something out of the ordinary.
He said: "I was down Poole Harbour and saw this huge yacht at about 6.30pm on Friday evening so I took a picture of it and zoomed in because it had lights on the side of it.
"That’s where I found out who owned it and how much the yacht was worth. Mega Money!"
Boating experts SuperYachtWorld say the vessel is owned by Terry Pegula.
If Mr Pegula is the owner, the yacht is owned by a man who is on the Forbes Billionaires list with an estimated net worth of $5.7B.
Mr Pegula is known to have made his money out of fracking and currently owns two US national sports teams, the Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres.
Craig added: "I 100% knew it would cost a lot - it looked massive and very flash."
It certainly is out-of-the-ordinary. The made-to-order superyacht is built by Dutch ship makers Hakvoort . The firm, which has royal patronage, said TOP FIVE II was created as a bespoke yacht for an experienced owner.
The vessel can carry up to 12 guests and host 19 crew members.

LUXURY MEGA-YACHT ‘TOP FIVE II’ IS ALREADY IN FUNCHAL
The most recent mega-yacht in the world is already docked at the port of Funchal.
The ‘Top Five II’, by the American billionaire Terry Pegula, docked recently, with 18 crew on board, on the vessel’s maiden voyage, having left England bound for the United States of America, to be delivered to its owner.
The stopover at the Port of Funchal is the responsibility of Blandy Shipping. The departure of the Top Five II from Madeira is scheduled for next Tuesday.

This distinguished yacht captain began his yachting career in 1996. Growing up on a farm in South Africa’s Free State, Joe was easily drawn to the yachting lifestyle. He began his yachting career as an engineer and eventually became a yacht captain in 2002. Joe’s natural navigation and mechanical skills combined with his positive attitude make him a true asset to the yachting industry. His dedication to yachting is seen in his many achievements, including obtaining his Y3 Chief Engineer license. These certifications have provided an impressive foundation for his yachting career. Today, Joe holds 21 years of captaincy under his belt. Boasting a Master Y4 3000 GT MCA Captain’s license, Joe has travelled through the Bahamas, Caribbean, Mediterranean, along with most coastal waters. Well-versed in navigating the world’s oceans, Captain Johannes is sure to provide the ultimate yachting experience.
Grant Heunis
Grant grew up in East London, South Africa and joined Top Five II from a well-known and successful charter yacht – M/Y Elysian. Grant began his career as a Deckhand giving him an invaluable understanding of each position onboard. He gained his MCA Master 3000 Ton License in 2012 and took over as full-time Captain of M/Y Passion. Having acted as a relief Captain for some time already, this was a smooth transition for Grant, and he has since exceeded all expectations in the role. Grant has extensive cruising experience in the Caribbean, Bahamas, East Coast of the USA, Mediterranean, Adriatic and Aegean waters. Grant is a qualified PADI rescue diver and RYA Jet Ski Instructor. A keen sportsman, having competed for his provincial team in water polo, he enjoys the outdoors, surfing, keeping fit and hiking.
