Exterior Design

The exterior is a swirl of sleek lines reigned over by a magnificent “S” shape that sweeps the eye from the central nexus back to the vast beach area that houses the main pool. A second pool, exclusive to the owner, is contained in the bow, along with the helipad. An open air lounge nestles in front of the wheelhouse, a luxurious nook from which to survey the unfolding seascape or drink in the stars.

A sprinkling of lights around the deck and cabins transforms the night-time Stardust into an interstellar spaceship, carrying voyagers to another dimension.

The beach area is where fun gravitates, an immense environment that includes the central pool and connects to the indoor gym and spa, a palace of play whose foldable platforms extend over the water.

The seductive power of the Stardust will fire your desire for living life at sea and promote the power of possibilities without limits, of dreams fulfilled.

INTERIOR DESIGN

Floor to ceiling windows throughout make the views panoramic and suffuse the decks and the guests’ cabins with natural light. Interiors are sophisticated and modern, acute yet soft, a harmony of yin and yang energies; the wide layout invites multiple interpretations. The yacht’s personality is subtle but distinct.

The owner’s suite impresses. The large private residence dominates the upper deck, or takes it over completely, the brightest star in the universe. The owner’s bedroom faces the private pool in the bow and the breathtaking views beyond.

Stardust repays her owner in a thousand blissful moments. At night, you will feel like a cosmic traveller, at one with the glittering sky, aboard a shooting star.

TANKOA has conceived this extraordinary vessel in partnership with The Yacht Mogul and the talented pencil of Abbasli Design Studio. Interiors were curated by Giuseppina Arena.

Giuseppina Arena, the art of harmony

A job in record time. Only 4 and a half months to rethink the interior design of a 50-meter Benetti . His owner, as soon as the purchase was finalized, wanted a restyling in a short time.

To do this, he chose Giuseppina Arena , a Sicilian architect by birth but an international professional with almost thirty years of experience in all-round interior design but in particular in the yacht design , and with a consolidated experience in prestigious shipyards, which has accepted this professional challenge with great enthusiasm.

Giuseppina Arena, who assists her clients between her studios in Rome and Miami, has delivered a timely project, satisfying the wishes of this young owner , eager to experience his yacht by the date requested by him.

Thanks to the determination, professionalism and competence of the studio team and obviously the support of the shipyard and the positive synergy with the customer, the M/Y 50 meters Benetti Bombay , has been reborn to new life and will be delivered to its owner in the times.

"The refit project of the 50M Benetti was a real challenge both from the stylistic-design point of view and from that of the timing", says Giuseppina , "the original interiors were very simple; the customer, on the other hand, wanted a style particularly rich and more sophisticated and in stylistic coherence with various other properties, especially in the hotel industry, in order to create a common thread between them.

The yacht in its new guise had to be suitable for the reception of many guests in the most extreme luxury and elegance. The design interventions concerned all the outdoor areas, the main deck, the upper deck, while the guest cabins on the lower remained original.

"First we completely redesigned the salon main , creating an open area to receive the many friends. Here one of the challenges was to install a particular chandelier whose design gave rise to many problems given the limited height of the bridge: so we had to find a solution that would give the luminous and luxurious effect but containing its thickness".

In the bar, velvet bands and golden metal profiles enrich the counter while the background wall is enriched with gold-colored metal grids and mirrors with an antique finish combined with gray/black mirrors, which together create a particular checkerboard effect.

Two main essences were chosen, a dark almost black and a light one both with a 100% gloss finish, alternating to obtain refined light / dark effects, harmonized by gold-colored metal profiles re-proposed and declined in various shapes and geometries in many of the onboard environments. The shape of the rhombus is the leitmotif of the boat and is repeated almost everywhere in fabrics, silk-screened and antiqued mirrors, in the backlit opals on the ceiling.

For the bulkheads , elegant boiserie and a selection of fine fabrics by Rubelli , ZR and were chosen Armani House . The sliding doors are in milk opal glass with gold-colored profiles on the inside that create a design that resembles the style of liberty windows.

"Everything has been specially designed even the free standing furniture of the main and upper salon have been customized both in the geometries and in the materials, such as the chairs of the gigantic table on the sun deck that it can accommodate up to 22 people A harmonious décor with a great coherence of style between indoor and outdoor.

" For me it is important that everything flows both in colors and shapes, and I always try to create harmony in my projects that instills serenity in those who live in the environments I have designed: it is essential that the guest on board you will find comfort and tranquility through the right combination of elements and that the style is timeless with a few touches of refinement".

Like the ' Fumoir ' area aft of the sun deck furnished with capitonné sofas where the owner, passionate about cigars, wines and fine spirits, can relax with his guests in great style. As in the golden days of the ancient cruise ships.

The award winning 41m/134'6" motor yacht 'Stefania' was built by Dynamiq in Monaco at their Massa shipyard. Her interior is styled by Italian designer design house Giuseppina Arena and she was delivered to her owner in July 2021. This luxury vessel's exterior design is the work of Dobroserdov Design.

Stefania has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 10 guests in 5 suites comprising two VIP cabins. She is also capable of carrying up to 6 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Her features include beauty salon, beach club, deck jacuzzi, WiFi and air conditioning.

Range & Performance

Stefania is built with a aluminium hull and aluminium superstructure, with teak decks. Powered by twin diesel MAN (V12) 1,650hp engines, she comfortably cruises at 12 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 21 knots with a range of up to 5,000 nautical miles from her 29,600 litre fuel tanks at 10 knots. Her low draft of 1.8m/5'11" makes her primed for accessing shallow areas and cruising close to the shorelines. An advanced stabilisation system on board promises exceptional comfort levels at anchor or on any voyage. Her water tanks store around 9,500 Litres of fresh water. She was built to RINA (Registro Italiano Navale) C ✠ HULL ● MACH classification society rules, and is MCA Compliant.

41m Dynamiq flagship Stefania scheduled for auction

The 41-metre Dynamiq superyacht Stefania is set to be auctioned following her seizure in Genoa. The agency for the management and recovery of seized and confiscated assets (AGRASC) has entrusted the firm De Baecque & Associés with organising the auction.

The yacht is scheduled to go under the hammer on 25 January 2024 at 2.30pm. It will be hosted by telephone in the heliport lounge of the International Yachting Club in Port Vauban, Antibes. 

Delivered in 2021, the metallic-gold superyacht has been "estimated between eight and 10 million euros", according to a statement released by De Baecque & Associés. Stefania is Dynamiq's flagship and a winner of BOAT International's Design & Innovation Awards in 2022.

Accommodation is for 10 guests across five cabins, with further space for six crew. The firm noted Stefania 's "real, wood-burning fireplace" and 2.2-metre-high ceilings as interior highlights. Designed by Giuseppina Arena, the yacht's art deco style incorporates lacquered wood, Calacatta Borghini marble and rich suedes and velvets.

Meanwhile, Stefania's large sundeck is arranged with a circular 10-seater dining table, sunpad, seating and drinks table aft, a day head, sit-up bar plus a circular Jacuzzi – with commanding views forward, flanked by more sunpads.

Hiscox Confirms Chairman Bloomer Died During Yacht Accident Off Coast of Sicily

Hiscox Ltd. issued a statement confirming that the insurer’s chair, Jonathan Bloomer, and Bloomer’s wife, Judy, died in the tragic sinking of the yacht Bayesian off the coast of Sicily on Monday, Aug. 19.

“We are deeply shocked and saddened by Jonathan and Judy’s tragic deaths. Our deepest sympathies go out to their family and friends at this devastating time,” according to Aki Hussain, Hiscox Group CEO, in a statement.

“It was a privilege to have known Jonathan and to have benefited from his generosity and wisdom over the last year in his role as chair of Hiscox,” Hussain continued.

“His deep experience across our industry and in the broader business arena, combined with his personal values, made him both an excellent chair and a person I was proud to know and work with. His advice and support were immensely valuable to me, and he will be dearly missed,” he said.

Bloomer was also a non-executive chair at Morgan Stanley International .

In addition to Bloomer and his wife, the other fatalities were British tech magnate Mike Lynch; a Clifford Chance solicitor, Chris Morvillo and his wife, Neda Morvillo; and the vessel’s onboard chef, Recaldo Thomas. The body of last missing person, Lynch’s daughter, was recovered on Friday, Aug. 23.

Fifteen people, including Lynch’s wife, survived the accident. There had been 22 passengers and crew on board the yacht Bayesian, which was named for a British mathematician.

Superyacht sinking: Jonathan and Judy Bloomer 'inspiration to many', says family after couple confirmed dead

The Morgan Stanley International bank chairman, and his wife were confirmed dead after five bodies were found by divers after the luxury yacht sank off the coast of Sicily.

The family of Jonathan and Judy Bloomer have described them as "incredible people and an inspiration to many" following their deaths in the sinking of a luxury yacht in Sicily.

The Morgan Stanley International bank chairman, 70, and his wife were confirmed dead after five bodies were found by divers on Wednesday - taking the number of confirmed dead to six.

The pair were on the trip with British tech entrepreneur Mike Lynch to celebrate his court victory back in June .

"We are grieving for our loved ones and all of those affected by the tragedy. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the emergency services and everyone who helped tirelessly in this rescue operation," the family said in a statement on Thursday.

Superyacht sinks latest: Five bodies identified

"Our parents were incredible people and an inspiration to many, but first and foremost they were focused on and loved their family and spending time with their new grandchildren. Together for five decades, our only comfort is that they are still together now.

"This is an unimaginable grief to shoulder. Our only ask is that our family's privacy is respected at this time."

Mr Bloomer was serving as chairman of both Morgan Stanley and insurance group Hiscox at the point of his death.

The City veteran was said to have interests in sailing, rugby and music, and was also a member of the finance committee of UK children's charity NSPCC.

He was married to Ms Bloomer, a trustee and long-time supporter of gynaecological cancer research charity the Eve Appeal.

Chris and Neda Morvillo's death an 'enormous loss'

A statement from the families of Chris and Neda Morvillo, who also died in the sinking of the yacht, described them as "devoted, loving parents" whose death had been an "enormous loss".

"We are completely devastated by the passing of Chris and Neda, and our collective hearts go out to all the families who have also been affected by this senseless tragedy," the statement said.

While they were "widely respected for their professional successes", their "true talents" were "that of mother and father, son and daughter, brother, sister, uncle, aunt and dear friends to so many.

"Neda and Chris lived their lives as devoted, loving parents who always put their daughters and families first.

"Their passing is a tremendous loss for our family and for the countless people who knew and loved them both.

"We extend our deepest gratitude to the Italian rescue services for their unwavering dedication and to Clifford Chance for all the support they have provided."

A partner at the law firm Clifford Chance, Mr Morvillo had been part of Mr Lynch's legal team.

'Friend and mentor to many'

Ted Pick, chief executive of Morgan Stanley, paid tribute to Mr Bloomer and sent his "deepest condolences" to all those affected by the tragedy.

"Jonathan's leadership and experience helped the firm manage a period of complex change for our international businesses," Mr Pick said.

"He has been a friend and mentor to many and we will all greatly miss his wise counsel and spirit of kindness."

Aki Hussain, chief executive of insurance group Hiscox, added: "It was a privilege to have known Jonathan and to have benefited from his generosity and wisdom over the last year in his role as chair of Hiscox.

"His deep experience across our industry and in the broader business arena, combined with his personal values, made him both an excellent chair and a person I was proud to know and work with.

Meanwhile, Investment platform Hargreaves Lansdown - where Mr Bloomer was a former board director - described him as a "giant in financial services".

The yacht - known as the Bayesian - sank early Monday morning after a storm hit the region.

The wreckage is now on the seabed at a depth of around 50m (164ft) off Porticello near Palermo, where it had been anchored.

Mr Lynch, 59, was also among the dead , but his 18-year-old daughter Hannah remains missing.

Twenty-two people were on board the vessel, 15 of whom were rescued - including Mr Lynch's wife Angela Bacares and Briton Charlotte Golunski and her one-year-old daughter Sofia.

Speaking to Sky News , one of Mr Lynch's neighbours has described him as "generous, humble and full of integrity".

Ruth Leigh lived next door to Mr Lynch and his wife in Suffolk for 15 years.

She described them as "fantastic neighbours" and said the tech tycoon "never played on his position" and was "very friendly and down-to-earth" despite his fortune.

Last month, Kristin Brey, a podcaster, radio host and newspaper columnist, attended the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee as a credentialed journalist. She set up shop in a dank hockey arena, jostled in scrums with reporters for interviews and often could not get access to the floor of the convention hall because there was not enough space.

This week, she traveled to Chicago for the Democratic National Convention, under a new title. No longer labeled a journalist, Ms. Brey was now a “content creator” — better known as an influencer — and it proved to be a sizable upgrade.

She and other creators got face time with Gwen Walz, the wife of the Minnesota governor Tim Walz, aboard a private boat on Lake Michigan; they were treated to tiki bar parties and catered rooftop luncheons; they had exclusive access to two private lounges and a penthouse suite in the United Center that were stocked with free food and alcohol; and many were offered one-on-one interviews with some of the Democratic Party’s biggest names. Some of the influencers, although not Ms. Brey, received free airfare and hotel rooms.

Three of them interviewed Vice President Kamala Harris, who has not sat for a mainstream media interview since becoming her party’s nominee for president.

The two experiences were “wildly different,” noted Ms. Brey as she stood in a special box made for influencers on the convention floor on Tuesday night.

The treatment was part of an elaborate and unprecedented campaign to flood social media with positive messages about Ms. Harris and Mr. Walz as they accepted their party’s nominations this week. Democrats treated influencers like celebrities, hoping that free stuff and copious access in Chicago would reap buzzy posts on Instagram, TikTok or YouTube, the primary sources of news for a critical, and growing, slice of voters.

Some 200 content creators were given the special passes to the convention — a credential akin to those given to members of the news media but with additional benefits. (By contrast, the party credentialed some 15,000 journalists, who pay for their workspace and accommodations.) Progressive nonprofits and other outside groups picked up the travel tab for many of the influencers, while underwriting an itinerary of daytime panels and nighttime soirees, as well as an abundance of swag.

Republicans are also using influencers to make inroads among the highly online. At their party’s national convention last month, more than 70 influencers were credentialed, and former President Donald J. Trump has sat for interviews with a number of social media stars.

Both parties sees influencers as the best conduit to young millennial and Gen Z voters. Critics say their expanding role is blurring the line between journalism and advocacy.

Unlike Ms. Brey, most of the creators who attended the Democratic convention do not consider themselves journalists and have set no code of ethics or independence. Their currency is attention, which is how they accumulate followers, and many earn income by promoting commercial products to them.

This week, the product was Ms. Harris.

John Wihbey, a professor of journalism and media innovation at Northeastern University, said it made sense that the party would reach out to influencers.

“In some ways, this is long overdue considering how fast the culture moves. You get exposure to a key demographic that the party absolutely has to turn out,” he said. “But it’s assumed that they will carry the water the party wants them to, and if organizers aren’t distinguishing between them and journalists, that would be a mistake.”

The passes distributed to influencers this week, like those given to journalists, identified attendees as “producer,” “editor” or “reporter.”

Emily Soong, a spokeswoman for the Democratic National Convention said that “Democrats value a free press, and our convention is a reflection of that.”

Jeremy Jacobowitz, a New York-based food influencer whose posts about gut-busting food from around the world have earned him more than 800,000 followers between TikTok and Instagram, said he would never call himself a reporter. He openly supports Democratic candidates, has posted pictures of himself with President Biden and was tickled to receive an invitation to come to the convention as a credentialed creator.

So when organizers offered Mr. Jacobowitz one-on-one interviews with a parade of public figures, he jumped at the chance. For an hour on Tuesday night he asked politicians: “If you could describe Kamala as a dish and/or Trump as a dish, what would it be?”

“I know why they want me here,” Mr. Jacobowitz said. “I’m not here to ask any embarrassing questions.”

Before coming to Chicago, credentialed creators were emailed lists of Democratic surrogates available for interviews, and each night influencers were given time on the “blue carpet” inside the United Center where politicians like Gov. Andy Beshear of Kentucky and Stacey Abrams, a former candidate for governor of Georgia, posed for selfies.

Carlos Eduardo Espina , who has more than 10 million followers on TikTok and posts in Spanish, recorded a conversation with Ms. Harris on Tuesday, asking her to make her case for why Hispanics should vote for her. The next night, Mr. Espina spoke about immigration from the main stage at the convention. The vice president spoke on camera with two other influencers this week, according to the campaign.

On Monday, more than 150 of those creators clambered aboard the Spirit of Chicago, docked at Navy Pier. Ms. Walz mingled and posed for selfies before sending them off on a three-hour “Creators for Kamala Yacht Party.” The Harris campaign paid for the event, which was closed to the press. Guests included Meena Harris, the vice president’s niece.

Deja Foxx, an influencer and abortion-rights advocate, arrived for the party wearing Prada head to toe — sent to Chicago by her agency, Ford Models. She has some 200,000 followers across TikTok and Facebook.

“This is so exciting,” Ms. Foxx said, heading up the boat’s gangplank.

Since then she has posted several videos spotlighting her outfits (she declined one of the camouflage Harris-Walz hats being handed out), including the three-piece Argent pantsuit she wore when she briefly addressed the convention on Monday night . “This is going to be the most important outfit video I make this entire convention,” she said in the video.

In her remarks, delivered from the creators’ box on the convention floor, Ms. Foxx talked about reproductive rights and student debt, proclaiming that “we need Kamala Harris.” On Tuesday night, she hosted a party, Hotties for Harris, that drew Representative Maxwell Frost of Florida and David Hogg, a leading gun-control activist.

The Harris campaign said it did not directly pay influencers for content. But other Democratic groups do pay for posts, typically providing talking points or other guidelines. Depending on the reach of the creator, payments can be as little as $50 or, in some cases, tens of thousands of dollars.

Nicholas Kitchel, the director of digital partnerships at the Hub Project, a progressive nonprofit, said that the group funds some campaigns that pay influencers for content. He said paying creators was part of a strategy aimed at the “democratization of media.” His group requires influencers to disclose their sponsorship, he said, but many other groups do not.

This week, the Hub Project covered the travel expenses for 22 creators and paid for a rooftop lunchtime party with an open bar on Tuesday. Good Influence, which calls itself an influencer advocacy network, covered the travel costs of 25 other creators who were in Chicago this week.

Mr. Kitchel said the goal of such efforts was to “build community.”

With more than 32 million followers on TikTok, 16 million on YouTube and another 3 million on Instagram, Merrick Hanna was not just one of the biggest creators at the convention this week — he also ranks among the largest influencers in the world. But at just 19 years old, he was too young to go to the late-night events organized for creators this week.

Mr. Hanna, a former contestant on “America’s Got Talent,” said he was surprised to get an invitation to go to Chicago because his content — almost exclusively videos of him dancing — is completely nonpolitical.

Hours before the first speaker took the lectern on Tuesday night, Mr. Hanna and his father, Shawn, who traveled with him, were roaming the second level of the United Center, filming a series of dance moves that they planned to stitch together into a post.

The elder Mr. Hanna said that they hoped to use their presence at the convention to encourage people to vote, but that they did not want to “get political” by endorsing any particular candidates or party for fear of turning off followers with different views.

Still, he mused, “it would be great to do a livestream with A.O.C.,” using the initials for Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a Democrat from New York.

At the other end of the spectrum, influence-wise, was Abbie McAdams, a recent college graduate from Colorado who runs a nonprofit that advocates broader access to menstrual products. She said she was shocked to get a creator credential since she had a very small online following.

“Somehow they decided to let a 21-year-old girl with only 200 followers on TikTok go to the Democratic National Convention,” Ms. McAdams posted online last weekend. “I’ll literally be in the same place as the press with access to people like Kamala Harris, Tim Walz” and others in the party.

Ms. McAdams paid her own way to Chicago, she said in an interview, and tried to make the most of her time in Chicago, rushing from event to event and posting nearly in real time about all she observed. Although she did not have a chance to interview the Democratic nominee for president, she said, she had some star-struck moments — meeting other influencers.

“Being able to meet Deja Foxx in person and have a conversation with her was special,” Ms. McAdams said.
