WA Land Yacht Harbor RV Park & Event Center provides a unique travel and living opportunity. We are centrally located in the South Puget Sound, just a day’s drive to big city, mountain or sea. WLYH has 103 full hook-up RV Sites, free limited WiFi, a beautiful grove for outdoor picnics and a fenced dog park. WLYH offers two venues for rent; one a small meeting room with seating for 40 includes a full kitchen and restrooms. The second a large event hall with seating for 350 offers a full kitchen, restrooms and stage suitable for weddings, plays, trades shows or most any type of event. We have recently added RV Storage to our list of offerings. With an option for electricity or not and RV dump and wash amenities available. “Airstrip only park with newly reconfigured roomy sites and amenities ”

The Washington Airstream Club are terrific hosts! We camped at Washington Land Yacht Harbor in a Travel Trailer.

We camped here during the Potlatch Rally and it was a fun atmosphere when the park is filled with Airstreams! The WA Club is working hard to make improvements to the Terraport, adding picnic tables, We camped at Washington Land Yacht Harbor in a Travel Trailer.

The Land Yacht Harbor is an Airstream only club and park. The services were all full hookup but 30A only. The park is clean, had a great dog park and plenty of walking areas. The facility is designed We camped at Washington Land Yacht Harbor in a Travel Trailer.

Airstream only park. Very simple campground but centrally located between Olympia and Tacoma. Site was level. Campground is fairly empty. Campground is part of a mobile home park with residents who We camped at Washington Land Yacht Harbor in a Travel Trailer.

Washington Airstream Club

Founded in 1958, the Washington Airstream Club (Unit #112) is the largest club in Airstream Club International with well over 400 members. The Washington Airstream Club is one of 7 units in Region 10 covering the states of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington, plus the Canadian Provinces of Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Yukon Territory, and Northwest Territory. The Washington Airstream Club is headquartered at the 61 acre Washington Land Yacht Harbor (WLYH) in Olympia, WA. The WLYH is an RV park/Event Center with a " Terraport " for traveling RV'ers. WBAC members will enjoy staying at the WLYH at a special membership price. The WLYH also has a large meeting hall called " Harmony Hall ". It can accommodate 350 people for meals, or just as an event center for many civic functions. The WLYH also has a " Gatehouse " for smaller events of around 40 people. Our club has a busy rally and caravan schedule along with many other activities as a result of its size. If you're a newcomer to Airstreaming, this is a great advantage because of the knowledge base on almost any RV'ing subject that our members have accumulated. We are an active, friendly club, and you'll get acquainted easily and make many new Airstreaming friends. Reservation vs Reality

We called a month ahead and reserved a space for our 5th wheel for a month, they took our reservation and sent an email for the reservation for the one month.. we get there and were told, they don’t have any month to month sites, we would have to rent week to week for $100 a month more… AND tell us our reservation was for a week to week… UNBELIEVABLE!!! They also informed us that after 29 days, we would have to leave for 3 days before we could come back…(which would be fine if we were only planning to stay a month) we are moving to the area and are looking for a house, it may take more than a month… WHICH IS WHY WE RESERVED A MONTH TO MONTH SPOT!!!

Not what expected but cheap

All sites are back in. All connections are in the back so imagine hooking up at a parking lot at the concrete stoppers. Sewer and electric, make sure you got enough tubes and extensions. All gravel in the rv lots, dog only allowed in certain grassy spots. Hook ups seem old and outdated. Very close to neighbors and no parking for extra vehicles. Pretentious people living right across from the RV area who are scared anytime you walk your dogs if they are bigger than a shoebox. (Elderly with little tiny dogs) Not impressed with the staff either. Requiring more info on your rigs than any other place I’ve stayed. Insurance and a member actually does an inspection of rig when you arrive. Mostly military staying in air streams, which is fine, love our vets and active service. Nothing really to do here. Hot in summers and I am sure very cold in winters.

This is a great and affordable place to stay while in town. Staff is friendly. Rv sites offer full hookups. WiFi is not the best but does work.

Staying here right now. Been here for about a month. Office staff is nice and attentive. Area is kept clean and trees trimmed. As stated it is basically a large parking lot. I asked for a nice spot on the end facing bushes so it feels very private. The other guests seem to be quite and keep to themselves. Yes the mushroom farm can smell really bad, not this places fault and I heard the farm is moving out east eventually. Clean, reasonably priced, safe, and quite. I would stay here again.

We've stayed here multiple times. VERY inexpensive compared to other parks, even with the lack of laundry facilities (I understand they have a septic so cannot have a laundry facility). This used to be an Airstream-only park, and the other half of the park are residences. The entire park is gated, they are working on updating electrical and.... the mushroom farm has moved!!

Staying here for the month of July.One site is the problem site with trash all around and multiple cars coming and going all hours of the day.Two hours ago the police showed up and handcuffed a guy but let him go.Now there is screaming and pounding on the door to be let in the RV.Their water is not working so they are going to empty sites and gathering water.I feel badly for these people but you choose how you live.It is a gravel parking lot with no amentities.Sadly in Washington no evictions are allowed so we will have to leave if we want more peaceful area.

Unbelievably poor customer service where the right hand doesn't know what the left hand us doing. Zero water in the morning. And extremely high rates.

Nothing but a gravel parking lot with only back in spots, extremely tight and hard to maneuver, no cable, no laundry facilities AND theres a mushroom farm down the road so the air smells like manure! This was the only place with vacancies due to the 4th of July holiday - I see why. Should've just stayed further out.

The only reason I am giving this a 1-star rating, is because 0-star rating was not an option. This place has an ideal location, it's split with camper parking on one side, and residence living for the remainder of the park. It is a gravel parking lot, with only 30-amp electric, water and septic. The residence own their homes, but not the pad, so they pay a monthly pad fee to the park. You must own an Air Stream Camper in order to live in the residence housing. Before the end of 2021, the board of trustees decided to convert the RV park back to Air Stream only and gave evictions notices to all campers that did not own an Air Stream, about 2-3-month notice. I personally know of a family of 5, husband is handicapped, (has only one leg), and spends most of his time in a wheelchair. They have 3 children ranging 9 - 15, all in local schools, with in 5 minutes of the park. This particular family had just received their new trailer, 44', which the board of trustees approved them living at the RV park in this trailer. The parents were having a hard time finding a RV park that could accommodate that size RV on a short-term notice, there were some that had lots big enough, but had a waiting list. In February the parents approached the president of the board and requested an extension until the end of the school year, which would provide more time to find another RV park. The board of trustees denied their request for an extension and demanded they depart immediately. It had been reported to this family by numerous residences of the park, that the board of trustees opinion was anyone that did not own an Air Stream was a petty theft criminal. One of the board member's husband had a run in with the gentlemen in the wheel chair because of the kids playing ball near a recreational building. There were some words exchanged, board member's husband went back to his residence and retrieved a gun and threated the handicapped man. Police were called, he was charged with his gun rights revoked. A restraining order was served to him. Recently the board of trustees tripled the monthly pad fees for the residence, mostly Senior Citizens living on their social security. If they follow the same path as they did with the RV park, they will attempt to evict anyone that cannot pay the new high priced pad fee. This family found a place on the east side of Washington. There is not a place that I could recommend less. If you opt to stay here, beware of upsetting a member of the board of trustees, as if you do, they will make your stay miserable until you depart

This is the worst RV and mobile home park. They spay Roundup without any notice to tenants. Roundup is unsafe for humans, pet, and kids. Check this out...major lawsuit going on... I had to click at least one star to submit this posy. But this business has the worst management and maintenance people. If you care about your pets and children's safety, choose a different place to stay! Were you exposed to Roundup or RangerPro and were diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma? You may be entitled to compensation. Finding out if you are eligible for a large settlement for these issues is 100% FREE, fast and easy Monsanto ordered to pay $289 Million (August 2018) France Bans sales of Monsanto's Roundup (2015) World Health Organization classified glyphosate as a probably carcinogen to humans and animals (March 2015)

I'm giving this a 5 star rating because location is away from traffic yet easily accessible to hwy 5. A perfect spot to stop while traveling and needing a place to stay for the night. Very quiet and very simple "after hours registration". $29.35 including tax per night. No cable, no trees to speak of, parking lot style spaces, rock ground. Basically a mobile home, RV storage, RV long term residents community.

On our way here, our truck's transfer case broke just 10 minutes from arrival. Two tow trucks came- one took the truck to a shop, the other took our 5th wheel to the Washington Land Yacht Harbor RV Park & Event Center (lol, "event center"), because that is where we had a reservation for the July 4th weekend. Upon arrival, we were denied our reservation because our truck broke down. Their reason was someone else was towed in months ago and has never left or paid rent, and they were suspicious we were doing the same thing. After telling them we did, in fact, own a truck (showing the police report of a disabled vehicle) and we would be gone in 3 days to our next reservation, we were repeatedly told "I'm not getting yelled at again for this." (Side note- this employee was yelled at for something that was not their fault and beyond their control? Shame on you for treating employees so terrible.) We tried to emphasize our basic, shared humanity. The receptionist called the manager and we were told, "try another campsite." After pleading how it was the busiest weekend of the year, and they knew it was impossible to find a last minute site, they kept telling us we were not welcome. (On our way out, we noticed the "campsite" was nothing more than a gravel parking lot next to a mobile home park and the "event center" was nothing more than a multipurpose room- glad we didn't waste our money.) The WA Land Yacht Harbor RV Park & Event Center left us with 1 option: the tow truck company offered to allow us to park next to their impound lot, which was next to a homeless encampment. Thank you WA Land Yacht Harbor RV Park for *literally* driving us to the edge of poverty- next time you are in need of help and no one is there for you (hello, karma!), remember what it feels like to know the 1 person that could help you turned their back on you. (Our truck was fixed within 24 hours, and we left town, no thanks to you.)

I have stayed at this park 3 times now. It is an OK place to stay while visiting the Olympia area. 30 amp only. It is basically a big parking lot with hookups.

Body of Mike Lynch’s daughter Hannah recovered

The body of Mike Lynch’s daughter Hannah has been recovered from the superyacht Bayesian after it sank on Monday.

The Italian coastguard confirmed the sixth and final missing person had been discovered on the vessel today.

At around 1pm local time search and rescue teams then transferred a green body bag from a boat onto land.

Several boats carrying divers had left Porticello an hour earlier to go to the site of the wreckage following the discovery.

Mr Lynch, his daughter Hannah, Morgan Stanley International bank chairman Jonathan Bloomer, his wife Judy Bloomer, Clifford Chance lawyer Chris Morvillo and his wife Neda Morvillo were lost when the yacht sank at around 5am on Monday.

Fifteen of the 22 passengers and crew on board, including Mr Lynch’s wife, Angela Bacares, were rescued by emergency crews after the yacht suffered catastrophic damage owing to the waterspout.

The group had been invited onboard to celebrate Mr Lynch’s court victory, after he was acquitted of fraud in San Francisco.

Specialist cave divers recovered the body of Miss Lynch from the wreck of the £30 million superyacht on the fifth day of searching. Mr Lynch’s body was recovered earlier in the week.

One friend of the family paid an emotional tribute to the 18-year-old, adding: “We have known Hannah since her birth, and for her to be taken on the precipice of her life is cruel beyond belief.”

Friends have paid tribute to Hannah Lynch after her body was recovered from the sunken superyacht Bayesian.

Patrick Jacob, a family friend, said:

“Hannah was charming and ferociously intelligent with an insatiable thirst for life and knowledge. She was also warm, loving and deeply considerate; remarkably for her age.  I am 50 years older than her and in my life I have never met anybody like Hannah. We have lost one of our brightest stars whose future held so much promise. Her loss is unbearable.”

Katya Lewis, Hannah’s friend, said:

“The love Hannah had for everything she held dear was passionate and pure. She had a warm and beautiful soul. Being with Hannah made me feel whole and happy. She is the most special friend anyone could ask for and I will always love Hannah.”

Hannah Lynch’s former teacher has paid tribute to his student who loved “learning, literature and life”.

Jon Mitropoulos-Monk said: “I’ve never taught someone who combined sky-high intellectual ability with warmth and enthusiasm in the way Hannah did.

“She lit up the classroom with her energy, passion for learning and sheer intelligence (though never with a hint of arrogance).”

He added: “She loved literature, learning and life. She was so excited to start studying English at Oxford, a goal she had worked so hard towards.

“I taught Hannah for four years. I will remember her for what she taught me: kindness, compassion and commitment.”

A manslaughter investigation is being considered by Italian authorities into the sinking of the superyacht Bayesian , according to reports.

The Prosecutor’s Office of Termini Imerese is making inquiries into why the luxury yacht capsized off the coast of Porticello at around 5am on Monday, a source close to the prosecution team said.

The team led by Ambrogio Cartosio, is looking into offences of “shipwreck and multiple counts of culpable homicide against an unknown person”, similar to that of manslaughter charges in the UK, according to Palermo Today.

Maritime trade union hits out at criticism of the bayesian’s crew claiming it ‘undermines due process’.

A maritime trade union has hit out at criticism of the Bayesian’s crew, saying it “undermines due process”.

Nautilus International’s general secretary Mark Dickinson said: “We have no doubt that the crew and master of the Bayesian are experienced maritime professionals. Any attempt to question their conduct without the full facts is not only unfair but also harmful to the process of uncovering the truth and learning any lessons from this tragedy.

“It undermines due process and denies the master and crew their right to fair treatment under the recognised IMO/ILO guidelines.”

Mr Dickinson’s remarks will be interpreted as a snub to Giovanni Costantino, founder and chief executive of the company which built the Bayesian.

On Thursday Mr Costantino claimed the Bayesian was “one of the safest boats in the world” and was virtually “unsinkable”, telling Corriere della Sera: “The passengers reported something absurd, that the storm came unexpectedly, suddenly. That is not true. Everything was predictable.

“Ask yourself – why were none of the Porticello fishermen out that night? A fisherman checks the conditions and a ship doesn’t? The disturbance was completely readable on all the weather maps. It was impossible not to know.”

James Cutfield, captain of the Bayesian, was questioned by the Termini Imerese Public Prosecutor’s Office for two hours earlier this week.

Specialist divers need up to 24 hours to search just one metre of the sunken superyacht Bayesian, an expert has revealed.

The search of the vessel, which sank on Monday after being hit by a tornado, has entered its fifth day with the Italian fire service saying that moving within the luxury yacht is “very difficult”.

Luca Cari, a spokesman for the fire rescue service, told Sky News: “It’s very difficult to move inside the wreckage.” He added: “Moving just one metre can take up to 24 hours.”

Hannah Lynch, the 18-year-old daughter of the technology tycoon Mike Lynch, is the last remaining person unaccounted for. It has been suggested she may not be inside the yacht.

The Italian coastguard confirmed that the sixth and final person yet to be found is a woman.

Divers have previously spoken about the challenges of dealing with narrow corridors and floating debris obstructing their progress.

Nick Sloane, the South African salvage engineer, said the sea must be calm when the yacht reaches the surface.

Mr Sloane, who led the operation to recover the Costa Concordia cruise ship after it capsized off Tuscany in 2012, said: “You need to go very slowly. The important thing is that when the yacht reaches the surface, the sea must be calm.

So they’ll have to carefully check the weather forecasts.”

He said he has been talking to divers involved in the Concordia operation and they have been discussing how the operation could be carried out.

Raising the Bayesian superyacht from the seabed off Sicily will cost around 15 million euros and take six to eight weeks, a leading maritime salvage expert said.

Nick Sloane, the South African salvage engineer who led the operation to recover the Costa Concordia cruise ship after it capsized off Tuscany in 2012, said around 40 highly trained divers would be required.

A large platform would have to be towed out to sea.

From there, a giant crane would lift the yacht - but very slowly. If the yacht is pulled up too quickly it could buckle and break up under the huge pressure of seawater inside it, Mr Sloane said.

The 75 metre high mast would be cut off and removed prior to the Bayesian being lifted.

“I would say it would cost up to 15 million euros but possibly you could do it for a bit less,” Mr Sloane told La Repubblica newspaper.

“The recovery operation would take six to eight weeks. It could be completed before the second half of October.”

From the South (I-5) : Take exit 111 (510 to Yelm), go straight and turn right on Marvin Rd. Turn left on Steilacoom RD, WLYH entrance is on the right after 0.8 miles.
